I buy smaller quantities, but recently seen some good deals. Pretty good quality $5/g or $50/12g

Same here. Plus soil and organic fertilizers. But that's it. Black Market price here would be something around EUR 280-336, homemade price for an ounce is somewhere around EUR 56-75.

I have 4 good size plants outside right now, but would like another 20+
No problem, i'll pack the property in a zip file - usually it takes a 100 mile bicycle ride and 5 hour hike to get to my favourite spots up at the sunny side of the mountains (around 7k ft altitude which is lowland for most of my self collected genetics, i call it alpine altitude asylum)
but possible spots can be found everywhere, sometimes even in plain sight - had a plant once in a chateau garden while living in france, who knows how many chinese tourists had it on their pictures without realizing

Yes, I've done my share of guerilla grows.
I stopped a few years ago when I was able to do a few on my own property (I grow all year long indoors though).
All the driving, hiking, lugging, sneaking etc got tiresome.

If you live in an area where there are high cannabis taxes our weed can only go down so far. I will be curious in CA what kind of prices it will shake down to. Especially if they crack down on illegal grows. Here we come legal weed 2018 ready or not. Residents can grow 6 plants at their homes.
In WA state in my area I see stores that regularly sell $5 grams some good and some not, but most grams are $9 - $14 a gram. Averages around $10 a gram. Also I see $75 half oz. but not a large selection at that price. I'm sure it varies where you live. It could be cheaper in Seattle. We do have an area where cannabis shops are about half a mile apart. Intitially we were going to have 7 cannabis stores and I think we ended up with maybe twenty or so just in a 15 mile radius.

i'm curious how much taxes there are on weed in different legal places...
all i can say about legal markets is about the dutch - every shop owner will tell u something different about taxes, guess bc every shop has its own 'arrangement' - for decades there are some big grey areas within the legalisation in the netherlands...
Prices vary for weed as usual depending on quality/heritage from 2€ -20€/g with 10 around average,
the bad thing over the past years was that the police raided some of the honest, decade old 'grey-legal' growers and more criminal parties took over which supposedly increased the price... official i can't say anything about it i only go for hash
, largest selection in the world is still n amsterdam i believe.
That takes me to production costs - a farmer in morocco gets for mid grade (largest quantity of screening) around 50 cents a gram, which will be in the 5-6€ range in a shop after export but still more than decent if u r lucky. The new 'fashion' trend in shops is official advertised as 'dutch genetics grown in morocco' - the same farmer gets now 51 cent a gram and is supplied with fertilizer, the result is a bit more potent artificial flowery s* that's sold for 8-10€ and more for better screening grades/water. (the police should raid those shops imo

The farmers 50 ct production is still cheap compared to indoor growing with maybe around 2 kilowatt hours per gram fixed energy costs and a lot of adding other cost factors, upscaling effects are pretty slim here.
Cheaper solution are those big 'hybrid' lighted grow houses (can be seen eg at night landings in amsterdam or reykjavik) that could get even below 1€ total production costs per g (indoor quality)
- yes those asumptions depend on a lot of different factors, but should be close to average imho
If it would be a real normal crop - 30% thc-industry hemp combinations would be harvested with tractors for fiber and rosin, what would cost that? maybe 10 ct / g if it was a bad year...
So, there are limits in production costs, a piece for the shop and then the taxes, those 5$ a gram seems to be the bottom limit for indoor in that case - hmm taxes, damn that's the question why i started this post

Outdoor ounces run under 100cad, with quantity. plenty of Texada Timewarp, pink kush.
My favourite dispensary has top shelf stuff typically 200 per oz but has a sale each weekend where one or two strains are 160ish.

Many years ago I read a study that said legalization would bring $50 ounces. I thought I would never live to see that....
Just a month ago I was finding $60 ounces of 1 year old herb in WA. Most of the time it costs a bit more.

Nope. The most I've ever bought at one time was an eighth which lasts me a a little over 4 months.
