Hello, everyone! I am 24 years old from the great state of Texas. Cannabis is still illegal, but does not stop me from vaping. I have been smoking cannabis since the age 15 but switch to vaping after a couple months of smoking. The very first vaporizer I owned was the Vapir NO2 in 2012. My favorite vapes so far is the Volcano, Woodscent, Simrell Vortex, the Mighty, and Cloud Evo. I see a lot has change since 2012 and happy to see the community create amazing accessories. I have bought many 3rd party items to make my vaping life easier.

Greeting, all! I've heard about FC for awhile, and I've even ventured in in the past to have a looky-loo, but it was only recently that I became a member.

I started vaping about a year ago. I found a used Crafty for $50 and took a chance. Then I found a MFLB. I definitely lean more on-demand. So I went looking for a bigger MFLB, and bought a Ghost MV1, which I realize is a trigger for a number of people, but my unit is abnormally consistent (well... my second unit is, anyway). 4/2020 was an expensive month for me as I picked up a Milaana 2, and finally succumbed to the Dynavap calling, and then bought an Elev8r.

I'm excited about digging deeper into FC (so far, I'm only about 20 or so pages into the Elev8r thread... gonna be a minute for everything else). This crowd seems a lot more... fiddly. Y'all like to fiddle with stuff.

I like that. I'm a bit of a fiddler myself.

@akit4so Welcome to the forum dude ! Since you are enjoying vaping camomile i might suggest you take a loot at White Sage and Blue Lotus are my favorite, damiana and wild dagga are also nice , For effect i am enjoying Sceletium Tortusa also known as Kanna. There are leaves sold online and also a UB40 extract which is meant for vaping :). I have currently some Kanna resin extract on order, will report how it went in the thread below :).

I googled about these herbs.
When I had chance to purchase them, I’d like to try!
Currently, White sage is easier to get. Thanks for good advices!! :D

Like a lot of people I’ve known about FC for a while and dipped in as a lurker from time to time.

I kind of feel like admitting to using THC in any form is problematic. Even discussing it anonymously on a forum feels like a huge risk...but I’m sick of the pretence now - I want to own this!

My early experiences were combustion-centric: spliffs, MacGyver bongs, buckets etc. Life in general, plus some dumb life choices, pushed me into being more of a drinker. The beer gut and arsehole syndrome associated with alcohol took it’s tole.

I knew something had to change, so I decided to revisit my favourite teenage vice.

There was no way I was going back to combustion though. Everything I tried felt bloody awful or aggregated the asthma I acquired from a bad work environment.

Despite the initial coughing, I felt like I’d rediscovered a lost treasure. And that’s where vaping and edibles came into play.

Through vaping I suddenly discovered a clean and efficient method of enjoying something that settled my mind and sparked my create juices.

I’ve been lucky enough to avoid VAS as my first vape was the Solo Mk I, which just killed it on every level.

It’s been a few years since I first settled into my new/rediscovered lifestyle and I’m now ready to reach out, share my experiences, look for help and encourage others who are new to vaping.

I haven’t really said much about myself personally and don’t really want to go on about old baggage or brag about personal achievements. However, I do want to contribute to this community and help out where I can. In that regard it’s probably worth mentioning that I've been a CG artist for the best part of 15 years, specialising in photoreal rendering, and I’m more than happy to help out any DIY vape makers if they require any visuals (purely as a passion project)

Hello all, guess I'll be going by HypochonIRL on here.

I'm a 30's something former combuster. Been combustion free for 2 years or so after a Health scare.

Just recived my first ever Vaporizer(Dynavap) last week and couldn't be happier so far. I'm hoping my knowledgeable elders on the forums here will be welcoming.

Fair warning though, as my name implies i have a really bad case of hypochondria that flares up from time to time so when it comes to things like material safety i hope you guys can be patient with me. :(

Sad to hear the old girl go but glad for the upgrade

I wanted to create a thread for people to say hello and introduce themselves (y)

mod note: this thread is a continuation of Welcome to Fuck Combustion...Tell us about yourself here!

I have lurked for a long time over at the old forum and had concerns about not having HTTPS. Now I hope to participate a lot more here.

I hope that the threads at the old forum can be archived somehow as they are invaluable for vapers new and old to learn about the art of dry herb vaping and their products. I started over a year and a half ago after combusting for 32 years. I have learned so much about the different products and tricks over that time because of the information that's contained there.

Thanks to @pakalolo and @Stu for doing this. It was a hard decision to make but it was the right one. Also congratulations to the new moderators @macbill @Vicki and @HughJundys .

Also thanks to Vtac who started the whole thing. I hope he's just made the decision to move on in his life and isn't in bad health or worse.

Had to click the gear icon
Yeah, that threw me for a loop at first too. The gear icon is to toggle BBCode on/off and it stays on whatever setting you last used so if it's in BBCode mode, everything else is greyed out. Just click it again and that fixes that.

Welcome everyone! It's nice to see so many famailiar faces, and even nicer to see some new ones.

:peace:

Been loving the new site. I've been looking around, peeking in different places, kicking the tires a bit. As more threads transfer over, so will I.

Is there a way that I can set people's avatar (and my own) so you can see the number of posts they have accumulated? Maybe its wrong and pompous, but I have always valued opinions from folks who have been posting for a while.

I noticed the absence of post counts as well. It looks like admin has to change some settings to get them to display under our avatars. The info in that thread is old but they might be able to make it work in the current version You can see the post counts if you hover your mouse over the user names though.
