Publix is buying excess milk and produce from farmers — and donating it to food banks

Supermarket chain Publix launched a new initiative Wednesday to help struggling farmers — and get the food to Americans who need it most.

The company's press release said it will purchase fresh produce and milk from farmers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and donate the goods directly to Feeding America food banks that are in its "operating area."

I'm afraid of posting the wrong thing because every pic I see here seems to me to fit both descriptions, and I'm not sure what the difference between the two is.

@Ramahs, you can post both. I just didn't want a thread full of (heart-warming) tearjerkers - just mostly (warm-hearted) stories that bring a smile to your face & feel uplifting. There's enough to cry about in life without adding to it.
