The classic uses a bi-metallic strip thermostat. They have a on and off trip point. In this case there is a 18 degree spread from where the heater turns off and when it turns back on again. I have never had an issue with it. I have both digi and classic and they both work great.

My choice is the Classic, for just that reason, it sweeps through an 18 degree range instead of staying steady at one temperature like the digi, Similar to My Plenty. I believe that it was designed that way on purpose, and that the digi was introduced to appease the modern masses.

No real reason anyhow, exact same design and function, but you can bet the price is 30% more to have the word 'Medic' on it!
I also ready somewhere, that there is a battery powered Volcano available, sounds a little crazy?

By the way, does anyone know if there's a way to change the order of threads in a forum to
Newest first, to Oldest?

Actually, I read somewhere, that the knock off fake ones come bagged, whereas the Real S&B Don't?
This is an unpacking pic of my Cano from three years ago....from Vapor Nation, I believe, and def a real McCoy. Came bagged.

Thanks Baron23, Yes, the Real McCoy!

So, I'm ready to take the Plunge on the Volcano, can I ask why You chose the 'digii?
I usually go for the Best, when i'm buying something important, but, for the reason above
and the fact that there's less to go wrong, I'm leaning towards the 'classic'?
If anyone can give Me reason to Spend a little more, Please Step Up. I will also buy the reducer
due to the fact that I only micro-dose maybe 0.1-0.2., I use one with the Plenty.
I'm coming from the Plenty, which I still think may be the Best Vape on the market
for Medicinal use, though I don't have experience with others.
Can anyone who has both Please let Me know what to expect as to
differences or similarities between the two?
Anyone have an opinion as to a Vape that beats out the Volcano?
Speed and getting Stoned have no relevance to ME
My Only concern is extracting the most from the Flower.

The downside of the digit is the auto-shutoff IMO but the temp precision and control is nice. I haven’t used a classic.

At the time, I favored being able to dial in a specific temp....after a few years of looking into this I have concluded that it really doesn't work that way....IMO, you can only rely on the generality of lower temp more heady and higher more sedative but even there I'm so sure.

What I do NOT like about the Digit is the frakin auto-shut off. If I had to do it again, I would probably get a classic.

Now, as I have said, anymore I put my Digit to 446 and pull really thick bags....works for me.

I chose the Classic because it doesn't have the cut off switch. Love just being able to fill a bag at will and the four foot bag makes for a nice session
Been wanting to bring my Volcano out and about to work and friends places and found a nice bag for $12 at Harbour Freight. Has the nice triangular shape already and fits all that's needed. isn't a pic apart foam protected one, but I don't really need all that.

Plumber's tool bag? I see a lot of guys use that type of bag as a range bag at the gun club.

Don't know if you guys know or care, but for new people considering, the Newer Volcanos,
both models I guess, come with new 'Easy Valve starter kit' which allows the use of both types
of bags, S&B singles, and bigger oven bags etc.. i think they are discontinuing the 'Solid 'valve?
Been available this way for a while.
Just a little update!

Anyone heard of a portable battery powered Volcano?

I like it, kinda reminds me of an old doctors satchel. *Paging Dr. Feelgood!*

Nope.

I always wanted to try a smaller chamber to be more efficient with consumption. However, I just got the reducer a week ago and have yet to try it.

I do like the reducer and capsules for kief.............does an excellent job at that.
Never had a bag?
What is it like?
In EUROPE it was their thing?

The WINE was so amazing I switched for a while?

@LesPlenty influenced me to try a PLENTY which worked out in positive way!
@Vitolo made it happen.

But hey, one day I want to try a bag!
