Hm, i guess the digit pump also runs without the heater on? - fun experiment would be to heat it up to max, turn off the heater, fill a bag and turn the heater back on to see the temp drop...i'd guess the bag won't be much different...

Not in my opinion. While the FP is a GREAT extractor, its also an exposed 600-700F coil driven heater that many folks, particularly med patients, will find too dangerous and crack pipe looking. I love mine but also love my Volcano.Sup baloon heads,
I just broke out my Volcano after strictly dabbing for 6-7 month time.
Not updated on the current desktop-vape situation,
Is the FlowerPot really the end of the Volcano "Reign?" ?
Hi Vitolo - wow, I had seen the interview vid but not the factory floor. Who else in the vape world has such a modern factory and processes. Too often vapes made more as a craft industry than a modern appliance type production facility. I really, really enjoyed this vid and was quite surprised as the high volume of their production that you saw in the vid.Exclusive interview with Jurgen Bickel

Just a note regarding the magma attachment for cooling and moistureizing vapor.
In my opinion it’s not there yet.
The volcano is a precision device especially the valve (easy) those internal dimensions will not change. Yet. There are several o rings included that come with a poorly written how to.
There should be a diagram on the magma. Which o ring goes where? Why is the water chamber so damn small? It holds like 10ml maybe less!! That really not do shit except get warm quick it may add some humidity... I’d like to see some science on that. It’s a cluge job. I’d in retrospect buy a 2nd gen unit ( if the company makes it that long. Not this beta unit they are trying to cash in on.
Seriously the magma ized was no different.
But this little accessory really disappointed.
Two thumbs DOWN

The Volcano is very easy, VERY safe, VERY CONSISTENT, and I think all of that makes it very suitable for MJ patients. Particularly any without a prior rec background or any with any movement disorders or dexterity issues. The fan and digital temp control on the Digit means that a patient can accurately titrate their dose (or at least titrate their dose as well as can be done with our current wild west of "strains").
As more legalization comes down the road, I believe you will see more and more vapes that are highly integrated and appliance looking (vice dope smoking looking). I believe that the Puffco Peak and the DD Switch are reflections of that growing market trend.

Sounds like it. You can contact S&B for repairs, they seem to run 80-120$. Or you can do some digging and find the part yourself and do the switch yourself. Not sure how difficult/easy it is though, never opened mine up personally.I have opened my old Classic to check if there were some kinked hoses, as it is quite slow to fill the bags (3 minutes). But the hoses were perfectly located. Do you think it is just the pump being too old?
