I have a crafty, and it's the same for me, but i don't think it's a problem. The abv in crafty is more dark than the abv of volcano, also if i use higher temperature in volcano, and I think that is due to mixed convection/conduction system of crafty/mighty that is different frome pure convection system of volcano. I think convection is better, more efficient, so the darker color of abv for mighty/crafty is a drawback, like a burning principle. In other portable vaporizer like pax or airvape xs, the abv in detinitely black, like burnt.
Thanks Nicola, but I actually just had a breakthrough! I KNEW there was something fundamentally wrong with what I was doing, just was not getting the results that other people described.
Now folks, I have to beg forgiveness here because I am 100% positive that someone, somewhere on this message board has instructed us to do what I am about to describe. So my apologies to whomever I am not attributing this to.
I went back to the regular easy valve chamber without the reducer, used .25 g of herb and then squished the liquid pad on top of the herb before shutting the chamber. I am now getting massive thick opaque clouds of vapor, more than I ever did before!
I’m actually flush with herb right now, but if I wasn’t, I would seriously consider revisiting my entire ABV jar. There is DEFINITELY a ton of leftover THC in that jar.
The reason I got the idea to try this is I was using the dosing capsules to make herb/kief/herb sandwiches, but the herb on top was literally bright green. So instead, I did away with the herb on top and used the liquid pad on top of the kief and it worked fantastically! This gave me the idea to try the liquid pad directly on top of the herb.
Now they know if this works, I was considering putting a screen in between the liquid pad and the herb so that the herb doesn’t stick to the liquid pad. The herb brushed cleanly off, but maybe it would’ve been cleaner with the screen? Not sure, I’m going to mess around with it and see what I can figure out. Anyone else do this or have any suggestions?
