I have been using a spray can cap as @Vitolo suggested and it works and looks great the only thing is I usually run my volcano til right before I jump in bed so I don't like to cap it until it cools down completely and I always go to sleep or leave the house before I am able to cap it

can we see a picture where did you get it ?
I got it from vapeworld, they have pictures of it there...

In my area there are plenty of Volcanos within that price range. I just saw a Digi on there for $200, but I had already purchased my classic for $235

I see them here for $300 in new condition.
Although you are here to praise the Volcano, you are talking about Solo.
You will love your Solo, but perhaps this would be best revealed in the Solo thread!

Sorry for my english, trying my best:

I have my unit more than 2 years. I actively clean everything except unit itself with Isopropyl baths.
I vape everyday arround 0.5 - 1.2 grams of my homegrown weed.

70% of time I can vape all day until I can take no more because I'm too high. This is OK
30% of time I cannot vape anymore because I'm getting some infection sympthoms and lungs become very iritated

sympthoms like:

1) sore throat

2) lot of cough while phlegm changing from watery to very sticky form
which then causes wheezing and its very hard to breathe -> you basically cannot sleep like this which is bad because from my experience long good sleep heals this very well. But if you stay awake healing is very slowed.

3) I'm coughing clean white phlegm with different consistency and most of the time its without any taste. But sometimes when I cough really heavy from the ground I spit phlegm with really disgusting taste(while it still looks quite clean)

4) Almost instant sweating

I am using glass bong and very good diffusor. Basically its drinking straw with lot of small holes (needle size). While it definitely helps I am still having these types of problems.

Cleaning all my equip usually helps but not always.

I'm also suspecting there could be something randomly wrong with different parts of my weed. Like non visible mold particles or something like this. But from my experience when weed is getting moldy in jars the aroma/smell is totally ruined. And that is not case of my weed at all. Plus this is randomly happening with all of my strains i have (more than 4)

Btw these conditions usually does not last more than 12 hours my record was propably two whole days.

Anyone especially Volcano Vaporizer users having same problems?

It's one of the oldest designs on the market, so if there was anything wrong-other owners with similar symptoms to yours, we'd have heard about it a long time ago. I also doubt that there's anything wrong with your particular unit, although I suppose it's a possibility. You don't say if you've used another model of vaporizer, but with the same vaping habits and amount of consumption, you'd probably have the same issues. Vapor can certainly irritate the throat and lungs, and vaping to excess, for your particular body, may be at least part of the problem. Your "almost instant sweating" sounds strange, unless it follows a lot of coughing. You also don't say how long you've been having problems- the whole two years or just recently?

You need to ID the difference between your 2 percentages. Doesn't make sense that it's random. If too much consumption is playing a part, you should be able to figure that out. If a bad experience follows a day where you vaped all day, that should provide some info worth looking at.

Whatever your problem is, I'd cross the Volcano, as a brand and model, off the list. If you think it may be the herb you're using, I'd try and get something different to see if that's the culprit. If not, I'd definitely pay attention to your usage pattern.

It's actually whole two years and three different cannabis harvests.
Before I bought volcano I used to combust with bong for at least 4 years. Never ever had even remote problems like this. It started almost immediately I bought volcano. Especially wheezing part.

Does not make sense to me either. I dont change my usage pattern at all. Always starting at same temp (185C/375F) with ~ same amount of herb. The only real difference is that I am always vaping different parts of herb.

With usage pattern like this I am able to vape every day for weeks without any problem if I am lucky.
When problem happens its combination of 4 sympthoms I described.

Sweating is linked to extensive coughing. But sometimes I cough a lot without any sweating at all. It's so strange.

I never tried any other vaporizer than my Volcano. I live in Europe and would love to try VapeXHale. Unfortunately only way for me to try it is to actually buy it.
If it would fix my issues I would order immediately. But I'm not sure about it. VapeXHale is not cheap at all.

Maybe I should visit a doctor during such conditions, describe him my problems and get the phlegm analyzed in laboratory.

I really don't think it's the Volcano itself, and if you're vaping pretty much the same amount all the time then overdoing it wouldn't be the issue either. It's a  :hmm:

The EVO is a top rate model- I use it myself, but 1- I don't think it's the answer to your problem, and 2- I don't know if I'd buy a 220V model just yet. If you want to make sure it's not the Volcano for certain, there are cheaper models to choose from that are time tested.

Maybe I should visit a doctor during such conditions ...
That may be a good idea if the doc is open minded and just doesn't tell you that mj is bad for you in any form and you should quit using it.

This is a longshot, but was the volcano in storage at all? If it was stored in a dark damp place, it could have mold/fungus inside. Even if it's dry now, the spores can still have a party when they land in your lungs.

I smoke cigarettes and I experience this often. This usually happens when I High temp vape. I found that running the vapor through water fixed this for the most part. I am currently running my Volcano at 6 with a minimal irritation.

I also get the sweats when I have coughing fits. Is this what you are going through?

I used to have to stop vaping by the end of the day because my lung could not take it. This was mostly cleared up by morning.

I have cut my cigarette use by half and that has given me back some of my lung function.

How long ago did you start using the volcano/vaping in general? Because I went through a period of about a month or 2 of phlegm wanting to be coughed up everytime I vaped- then my tolerance went down to nothing one day out of the blue as if my lungs had been coated in tar since the beginning, and were suddenly clean :o
That was a weird day..
But now I only cough if I've been imbibing in cigamarettes or if the vapor is hot (direct PnP)

Nope I have my unit on table since I bought it. Using it almost every day.
I'm out of warranty now so I will propably buy tools for dissasembly and try to clean it from inside.

Yes most of the time but not always.

Excatly, but sometimes it takes more time for me.

I was heavy bong user before buying Volcano (mixed mj+tabaco). Since then I combust very rarely.

Not that often as cleaning my solid valve equip. But last time I had problems I cleaned everything very well and made whole new bag. It still didnt help and got it again. I never shared my vaporizer with anyone.

More than two years. I was heavy bong user. Switching to vaporizer helped me ALOT to breathe more easily and I also cleaned lot of tar from lungs through phlegm for at least half year. But I already occasionally suffered with these infection-like problems and it continues till these days.

........
I changed my bag size to very small. This should help greatly.
But I remember days when I had no problems with big party bags all processed by myself many times a day even without water diffusion.

you can try this:
MEDIC VALVE
The mouthpiece of the VOLCANO MEDIC Vaporization System is equipped with a check valve. This check valve reduces the danger of a possible contamination of the interior of the valve balloon, as exhaling into the valve balloon is prevented. For this reason the valve balloon is appropriate for multiple uses. To avoid contaminiation the hygienic reprocessing and maintenance of the mouthpiece are of particular importance.

http://www.vapormed.com/shop-volcano/product_info.php/info/p11_MEDIC-VALVE-Replacement-Set.html

i didn t use this and also dindn t have problems/symptoms like you...

or maybe could it be that you are allergic against a material used in the volcano... don t know if this is possible...

I dont exhale into bag.
I usully inhale bag through my bong.

I have light allergy on some types of pollen in nature during spring

That VOLCANO MEDIC Vaporization System sounds interesting.
But availability seems challenging, especially in the states.
Is it a new product?

The web is quoting 230 celsius but when I was in Amsterdam this year the digital ones were peaking at 300 celsius! Can anyone confirm this?

Seems unlikely, you should definitely be combusting at that temperature, according to Storz-Bickel it shouldn't go much higher than 230°c, maybe it was set to 400°f?

"DIGIT adjustable between approx. 40 - 230°c (104 - 446°f) " (Source: Manual)

I have only had a dozen Volcanos through here, but none's temperatures exceeded the limits on the dial.
