i think it is highly ridiculous that they came with the new inlay and ring email two weeks ago and till now nothing is shipped...really great solution.. maybe next time send emails when the stuff is ready to ship!

it is the same as with my request for a refund, they just don´t have the people to handle all this...which shows how S & B is operated, for a german based company with a branch in the US they seem really understaffed.

that being said, i´ve called two times now, i was patient, friendly and sympathetic...if i have to call a third time next week i will be not so nice anymore, that is for sure.

at this point i just want to be done with this thing and company, i have absolutely no interest to use any of their devices in the future at all

I don't have a fight in this anymore since I sold my basically new hybrid. but I feel your pain, I was very stressed about this situation everyday. for such an expensive device, we should be getting much better customer service from storz. I was asking very simple questions to storz via email when all this blew up, they would take forever to answer. every email would be very vague with "we are working on it", "we are looking into it" with a link to the new cleaning instructions, and when I asked about getting a refund because of all the issues we were having and I chose to no longer use this device, I got another dam email weeks later with a link to the new cleaning instructions. I knew right then and there this was not going to be RMA'd the way it should have been done in the first place, and when I heard about the new fix that to me does not look like a true fix, that's when I decided to let her go, it was not easy to do this. its ashame because its an awesome machine, the very best I have ever used. I hope storz does the right thing by there loyal customers. I still think they could redeem themselves if they do the right things fast, they need to RMA everyone who wants to be RMA'd and give everyone wether they received a new chamber/ring or got RMA'd a nice hefty coupon or store credit for all the hassle, disappointment and time not using this device, its only right.

you hear me...at this point, i´ve spent so much time on this whole affair, so much thoughts and energy wasted.

i mean at this point all has been already said about the whole handling...but really it is just a letdown, they could have already sent me a return shipping label instead of making me wait like "we are overwhelmed, i have forwarded your emails already"

the best was, she said "yeah we have a stainless steel solution coming up, bla" and i was just like "yeah, this is not sufficient for me, as i´ve already told you in my mail and to your colleague last week." she was just like "ok, i will forward your email"

i mean, show some respect to your customers and help them directly, just not make them wait for replies anymore if someone calls directly...

i am sitting here since beginning of December with this thing not in use anymore...i just want to be done with it

i could have dumped it on ebay already but i want S & B to give me the money back

We have a rule against company bashing and we've not been enforcing it as perhaps we should've been lately in this thread. In part I've held back from stepping in against the pitchforks in this thread because I don't want people to think that FC protects companies and doesn't care about it's members (nothing could be further from the truth btw). I also think that a lot of the public outcry is warranted in the case of the Hybrid.

Having said that, I must say that some of the posts here are getting to be a bit much. @david8613 you have already sold your unit and yet you still choose to chime in over and over about what you think S&B should do. I think it's enough already so I'll ask you to refrain from further posts like the quoted one above. In general we allow members to publicly state their gripes and complaints once and then only post more about an issue if there is new information to be added or a resolution finalized. In your case, you have nothing left to finalize and no additional information from you is required in this thread.

To everyone else holding a pitchfork, I'll ask you to ask yourself a question before posting in this thread: Am I adding anything new to this discussion with this post or am I just pouring more haterade on the fire? If it's the latter, please don't hit "post".

If we conclude that future posts are in violation of our company bashing rule, they will be subject to removal and thread bans/warning points may be issued.

Can anyone here tell me what is fair price for a used hyrbrid?

I wasnt going to get one, mainly because i feel i already invested alot in my analog and that i havnt "used" it up yet- But i have a IRL m8 now asking me if i want to buy at 350€ "here and now" and i almost feel sorry for him, might just buy it? Sounds cheap to me?

Anything els to watchout for with the used hybrids? :-)

I just wanted to say,
My issues with vape go beyond the aluminum. My faith was teetering before the aluminum issue. I don't want people to think my opinion is solely based on the aluminum issue.

Since I don't own it anymore and my experience and qualms with this vape are already in the thread. this will be my last post. (hopefully i remember i said this!!)

Has anyone actually tried to purchase the new insert instead of doing the RMA? Interested to see if they ship immediately if you pay lol, I have a feeling they will. I might actually try since I need a new housing anyway.

When I ordered it on the 11th it said low stock expect delays for the SS filling chamber, which I suspect is 'code' for Back Ordered. At the time I also noticed the Volcano Hybrid had the same warning, but all the Hybrid parts were available and had no low stock warnings. But since a couple of days the following items also have the low stock warning (for Hybrid parts):

- Filling Chamber
- Filling Chamber with Dosing capsule adapter
- Filling Chamber Housing
- Dosing Capsule Adapter

This sort of makes sense because we know the filling chamber and the Capsule Adapter need to be changed to the new SS models that are probably not yet available. But why is the Filling Chamber Housing also on hold (that's only the plastic housing)? It could be an error from the web site staff that removed all the Filling Chamber parts for the Hybrid and took the housing off by mistake, or it could be that they are considering making some changes to the housing or it's materials also.

I unfortunately bought both a Filling Chamber Housing and a Dosing Capsule Adapter (used to be called filling chamber adapter) from the S&B website on the 2nd of Jan, only a day or two before learning about the Aluminium issues. I've been trying to get registered to get the updated Dosing Capsule Adapter and I've tried both on the German and America support emails and giving them the invoice number from the purchase off of their site and being very careful to state I'm talking about the reducer and asked to be registered for the replacement reducer in SS. And they tell me to either take a picture of the reducer of a copy of the invoice of my purchase. So I tried that and attached their own receipt and further clarifications and got no reply. On the america site, they replied with the link for the Filling Chamber Service (even though I specifically mentioned I had ordered that part already and wanted to do the same for the filling chamber reducer). I Hope I won't have to go through all that again for the housing if they end up making changes for that. For the moment the only thing I'm sure of is that S&B is not very good at communicating.

Volcano Hybrid with concentrates is a marriage made in heaven, low temperature vapers rejoice hands down best way to experience concentrates on low temperatures.

The vapor is dense , low temperature, thc laden goodness and this heavy duty air pump + conduction radiation really gets it right. Theoretically we would think conduction is best for concentrates but i beg to differ.

I got a Flowermate for work the other day just because I'm sick of having to sit in my car looking like a crackhead heating up a dynavap. I'm not so sure about it so far, don't get much flavour, and ff2 is hella annoying to keep stirring on the go.

I'm still using mine but do not try to convince others who differ.

I know I could buy one from Sneaky Pete, bought my Hybrid through him, was more thinking that trying out different devices before buying them is tricky where I am in Canada, 4 hours north of Toronto between Sudbury, and North Bay. Curious about the Dynavap, would like to throw a Makers version on my wood lathe. I agree the FF2 can be a real nightmare, it was my first vaporizer. I get a military pension, and Veteran's Affairs kicks in $300 towards a vaporizer every 3 years, so will be looking at a new portable in February.

At first I shelved mine, because my wife has health issues and we're specifically trying to heavy metal detox. Then, after weeks of dissatisfaction, I broke it out and used it with the new instructions. That got real old after several days, so I broke out my other bag blowers and tried to 'hybridize' them. No bueno. Shelved again. Today I broke the Hybrid out again in desperation.

The bottom line is, when you need extremely potent vapor for fast relief, and the patient isn't mobile, this is the only thing going. There's not another bag blower like it. In fact, if you take into consideration the amount of weed it holds, and how quickly it fully extracts it all, I don't even have another desktop like it. I haven't even started gushing about the workflows. For me, this was S&B's first home run, but now...

I'm so sorry to hear that....please give her my best wishes for speedy and full return to good health.

Let's both just hope that the SS ring kit is a fixed on design (that is, not laying there like a washer as some have speculated...well, speculated in an absence of any and all actual information) and that it eliminates any chance of AL galling/splintering and covers the AL oxide on the conduction ring and gives people confidence that this oxide is not blowing willy nilly into the bag (which I doubt very seriously that it does).

AL oxide will form, no matter what and on any and all exposed AL ....but if its not in the air stream, I don't see a care.
