Insurance can't cover it at all?? Not so useful if they increase rates though anyway...
I love the idea, but I could not on my income afford full insurance.
I've been driving with Liability and Comprehensive but no Collision for 3 years now, since the released me from prison.
I am working hard just to pay for Comprehensive alone.
I talked to a friendly agent at Geico, without identifying myself to ask questions.
The traffic dividers are not covered under comprehensive, because the car was in motion, therefore would count as a collision.
I'm talking to the bank on Monday, and a couple "Rapid Loan" places that do not do credit checks, to see if I can get this started.
The mirror is dangling by a wire, so there's no great way to tape it well, but I did tape it. I also had a piece of mirror that was a toyota mirror, but it's just the glass, without the snap-in backing plate. Safe enough to get to a few patients homes. I have a half dozen Pax units (4 OG Pax units, and 2 Pax V2 units) that I wanted to get out this weekend... we shall see.
The headlight involves a headlight frame, and front bumper, since the bumper is what broke the headlight frame. A fender must be obtained also, because the fender's clips that would secure the bumper broke off as plastic can do.
The repair would be $5,300 with new parts.

I worked with the shop on used parts, and have cut the cost in less than half already... down to $2,300.
The most costly item is the headlight assembly itself.
Bumpers can't be shaped and bonded anymore, because they are all plastic.
I'm still working on it, and have been for 2 days.
The damage:
...and had my mechanic attach it
My problem is not having a personal mechanic, and I'm still being serviced at the dealership where I bought the car.
Being disabled this option helps, because they provide me with a car at no cost during the service.
The servicing only costs $100, but any cosmetic help is ultra expensive.
I am going to use a body shop that guarantee's all work for the entire life of the vehicle.
