Yes, the easy way is to start the vape and puff a couple of times on the empty bowl to warm things up to loosen them, then remove the top part of the CU by leaving the CU attached to the unit as the parts will be stuck together if you take a while between cleaning.

Yep, absolutely. I'm a bit anal when it comes to cleaning, so if/when I'm cleaning something I'm doing a thorough, proper job of it.

Yeah, I've been waiting for them to restock stuff so I can use my $30 brick credit. What is the holdup? Is the credit gonna expire (valid for 6 months from Nov 15) before S&B can get some CUs and o-rings in stock?
Also, I need to clean my CU more often. I definitely notice the difference in harshness with a dirty CU compared to a clean one. It's worth keeping them clean. That's why I want extras!
Thanks. I took it apart and soaked parts in isopropyl for about 20 minutes. Some parts needed a bit more attention with Qtips and other tools! Then rinsed and reassembled.
It is amazing how much better this thing hits now that it's all clean. Kinda ridiculous I've gone so long -- airflow control dial was getting stuck and clogged, lol. Over a month since I got it and basically heavy use as my daily driver. I will definitely clean more often seeing how much of a difference it makes!

A couple of tips from Mighty c/u cleaning:
Separate the two halves, but leave screens and o-rings in place.
Put iso and c/u in a baggie, then suspend the baggie in hot tap water. Every few minutes pull baggie out of water and agitate.
After 20 or 30 min of this, there shouldn't be much swabbing needed.
Rinse the parts with water (soapy water and rinse is okay).

I’ve mostly been cleaning my Venty CU, with Qtips & 190 ethanol. Helps with FLAVOR, and increases the time before potentially needing a complete SOAK.
Figured I’d try the MAX SOAK time recommended in S&B manual. (30 minutes)
For SOAKING, in this case I use my cheaper 99% ISO, as the parts are going to get a soap and water cleaning afterwards.
Easy to remove the large square gasket from bottom of CU. Wipe clean with solvent then rinse.
I did NOT SOAK, the (3) other parts with silicone orings: Air Control Dial, Mouthpiece, Top CU Lock Plug. After removing from CU, these small parts are easy to clean by hand with qtip & solvent, and you don’t RISK the potential swelling of the orings in a long solvent soak.
FAST & EASY…. like new!

10mm I believe would be perfect. My most common ID is actually 11 but 10mm squished out a lil bit is pretty on point . Yeah - these baskets are flared/pleated so they aren't exactly 10mm. I'll shoot you a message when I have something ready to go

Speaking of flavor, if you WERE to soak some pieces in ethanol, wouldn't you then be able to mix small amounts of this into drinks to infuse them with both alcohol and THC?

190 proof ethanol is drinkable, though nasty, so SURE.
I don’t allow my stuff to get nasty enough to allow much harvesting of leftovers, nor am I personally interested.

Yeah, I figured but I'm thinking tiny amounts would be needed as it's 190 proof so definitely diluted by some other cocktail ingredients in a mixed drink.

I definitely wouldn't charge it when it has over 50% battery as I've found doing that tends to shorten the charge capacity of most batteries. As a rule I tend to let my batteries get to 1 bar / under 10% before recharging and this seems to keep them much healthier for a lot longer.

You can configure you Venty to only charge to 80%. So going back and forth from 50 to 80 should be okay. However,
the first three charge cycles I like to go down to 20% and after that I don't really care.
However unrelated question:
My Venty was shipped out after the initial batch. Was shipped at the very beginning of December, but I get an E04, maybe every other time I start it up? But if I turn it off and on, it's fine. Does it need to go back to S&B? S&B doens't seem to have anything on the website about this...

I had something similar. Try to press "+" button next time, so you'll get the reason why you are getting E04, mine was 083. I got this thing twice in a row in the same day, and the same thing happened after a week or so. I messaged S&B and they told me to open RMA and send it in.
As it happened to me it was basically a non issue, it failed to turn on, but it did turn on a minute later. It could get worse but we don't know. Would be nice if we could get some "case studies" and see how the issue develops later on, and which code we get. Eventually we could even guess what 083 means?
If this E04 thing will continue even with the new unit, I think I will keep the unit as it is, to see how it goes. If everything is fine, and E04/083 keeps being sporadic, I will ask for RMA when an upgraded version will come out or the warranty will be close to expire.

I'd be interested to see S&B (or anyone really) do some testing around use of dosing capsules in the Venty. I never noticed a difference using them in the Mighty+, to the point I even ordered the bulk-filling set, but I believe there's a significant impact to airflow in the Venty.
Given adjustable airflow it probably doesn't matter/isn't the right question - the question would be around actual extraction and whether dosing caps are impacting it.

Airflow is definately more restricted. If u Vape without capsules on airflow setting 3, its with capule like stetting 2-2.5 (depends on pack).
In the extraction i dont notice any difference.

Me too, especially when I have one of those magnetic scoop tools whose size looks like it was built for the Might/Venty.
But at the same time I'm pretty anal when it comes to cleaning, which was the entire appeal of dosing caps for me - I didn't really need a lot of portability, I just liked how much cleaner it kept everything.

I think it depends of how often u Vape.
I vape a complete charge of the Venty every day. So i clean the CU twice a week (seems often, but after two days my cu is dirty like harry (flat joke i know xD). And when i do this, i take the 2Min to clean the bowl (q-tip and iso).
With capsules my cu gets dirty as fast as without capsules.
The material u Vape makes also a huge difference. Ich had stuff that makes nearly no dirt, and stuff that makes instant dirty.
Conclusions: Just clean if its dirty… And enjoy
