Venty by Storz & Bickel

How would others judge the “warmth” of this device? Seems to get pretty warm if you go through several bowls consecutively. Or perhaps it isn’t that unusual compared to a Mighty OG, my only other S&B portable…

I just ordered 10! Really liking the capsules, but I already see how much these aluminum ones are starting to deform and change colors due to heat and my not-so-delicate removal methods :). Looking forward to the titanium ones...thanks for the suggestion!

You are welcome. After each use, I’ve been swabbing them with a qtip with 190 ethanol, and they are very sturdy, caps snap on nicely, they should last a long time. At times I just use the S&B brush, then dump into a small ethanol proof glass bottle, and just soak them, 5 at a time, that’s one reason I bought 5 more, after I tested the first (5).

Using the custom (8) capsule loading tray for my OG Mighty that @Delta3DStudios made, loading is quick. Sometimes I use the S&B loading tool that I bought with my Mighty. It doesn’t mount to the Venty, but it’s a less messy way to load a single capsule and light tamp. According to the S&B sites Venty accessories page, they list a compatible one, the product number is different then the one for the Mighty which is available. Most Venty accessories are still not available. I never really used the loading tool directly on my Mighty, but it works nicely as a single capsule loader, and can confirm the titanium capsules fit perfectly. I believe whoever makes these, copied the original aluminum capsules dimensions perfectly.

@VGOODIEZ also has stainless steel versions in the drop down menu, but personally I prefer the titanium ones, as they match up better for my use with the 130w Venty heater. Fast heat up, fast cool down.

I
I was a first day buyer, one of first to RMA, late October. Received replacement Nov 26, a Sunday, DHL from Germany, I had clicked on their email to fill out a "no signature required" online form

My case is an outlier, however, as they asked me to physically return unit. This was before the remote testing and subsequent bricking for others

Now it's in Mike's hands at @Delta3DStudios . We talked about a charging stand and a loading funnel. He may test out a silicone WPA, but I think POTV has that under development -- resizing their existing Mighty/Crafty PEEK/silicone glass adapter
I was a first day buyer too but I hadn’t noticed anything wrong with it until they announced the battery issue, and then had to brick it. The replacement unit is the one on which I have this RMA. Hopefully they turn in around this week.

I switched out the stock screen for these concave metal screens
anBn

I remember seeing some one do it on a mighty like a decade ago

I think i adds more conduction with the high air flow

also they dont get any off that clogging of the screen from fine grind
What size are these screens and where do you purchase?

There any info on when new units will be supplied to Canadian distributors? I'm interested in getting a Venty but don't want an original production run unit or to deal with customs if I can help it.

So I ordered one, let’s see what all the fuss is about.

Looking at the marketing, it says the temperature is adjustable from 40c to 210c. Why would anyone want 40c out of a vapouriser? That’s not that far above room temperature here some days. Am I missing something?

Got my Venty in yesterday. First thoughts:

-I agree with everybody that it is somehow much smaller than I expected from pics/vids. The Mighty is more flat which could be beneficial in some storage situatuons, but it’s a nice size and feels nice to use

-Having bluetooth is cool, but after i changed my settings in the app im not sure i will be using it for much. I prefer changing temps on the device (and with no boost)

-went through a bowl at 3 airflow and one at 2 airflow. Nice being able to adjust depending on the situation. I like a nice long session when on the couch watching a show, but there may also be times i want to open it up and finish quickly. The mouthpiece being bigger feels better

-heatup time is great, doesnt make a huge difference for me in daily use but it is nice

-overall, still need a lot more testing. I definitely dont think i will be dissatisfied, also not sure it is worth the premium over the mighty+ for my use

My venty pre-ordered on November 2nd finally arrived! As I'd managed to get a 25% discount code and paid a total of 336€ (shipping included) I was scared that it was too good to be true and I wouldn't receive it lol😅 (btw, if you are from EU - the code is valid till Dec, 31st). But there is one thing that is troubling me - the rectangular screen in the CU rattles (and so does the screen in the spare CU I got), does anyone else has this problem or is it supposed to slightly rattle?🤔

Congrats!

...as far as the screen rattle. Mine does not. The original and replacement. I do not think it is supposed to rattle.

PSA:
After receiving and testing my “replacement” Venty, I tried to REGISTER it in my S&B online account. You then get the added year of warranty coverage for a TOTAL of 3 years. I could not register it, so I wrote them this message:

“I am unable to REGISTER the new replacement one on your site, under my account.
The online S&B form requests a “PURCHASE”, and to attach the “RECEIPT”.
Do NOT have either of these requirements, as it is a replacement. The first one I bought and registered, then DISABLED according to your instructions, is still listed in my account.
PLEASE ADVISE? The REPLACEMENT Venty Serial Number is: “xxxxxx”

Two days later, CS emailed me, saying they did it for me. I logged in and confirmed, the original one is no longer listed as well. I suggest all Venty owners check their registration status, so you don’t get screwed years later!

Never hurts to check...I just did. All good there. At least they got back to you quickly...pain in the ass though. Why can't things just go smooth...for everyone. Thanks for the insight.

Just got my shipping notice for my RMA... a one-day turnaround! I can't wait to get it hopefully by Saturday.
Got the titanium caps already loaded LOL

This is very helpful to know if I don't get the same unit back as the replacement from the recall; I was able to register that when I received it back a couple of weeks ago.

Wow, thats the first real deal i am seeing for the venty. Is it a trustful shop. Or are they only selling rattling CU s.
Why do you actually got a spare CU with your unit? Is it normal?
3drt. How Is the venty performing over all?
Thanks for posting Deal!

I ordered a spare CU to have one ready when the other one needs cleaning. It seems trustworthy as I've ordered from other stores belonging to the same group in the past with no issue, and they also have pretty responsive CS (as the venty availability date on their website got postponed multiple times, they kept in touch with the updates / offering a refund in case you didn't want to wait). But again, it's my first time ordering from this store so can't swear by it🤷‍♀️ The rattling sound is really very subtle, and in the S&B's "Venty CU disassembly & assembly" video I can hear it too.
I haven't tried my venty yet as the workload the weeks before Christmas is insane and I have to be 150% lucid till late night lol, so gotta wait for the weekend (which starts tomorrow thanks for local bank holidays 😊).

Now we all know what S&B did with the rest of the first batch!

I personally would avoid, the old saying, if it's too good to be true....

Well, if that is the the case, I can simply contact S&B's customer support and get a replacement unit🤷‍♀️

In the meantime, I did my first sesh with it and I'm in love!! I am asthmatic, the main reason I got immediately sold on venty was the open airflow. And wow, I don't even feel like trying I and II, III feels just soooo amazing! Feels like breathing, almost no coughing at all (and my mighty+ makes me cough even though water on higher temps). And holy shit if it got me blasted, with just one rather loosely packed bowl diluted with cbg flower (I have medium tolerance). Hits so good natively I am still in awe.
