Vaporizer advice for Moroccan style hash

Maybe it's my technique but I've been crumbling up into small pieces and dropping it into budkups lined with vaping cotton in my pax 3 at the hottest setting and works like shit. Very little vapor...

because it has a low amount of oils
it's low grade hash
in a Vapcap good hash should bring you like 10 cycles of good vapor (0.1gr)
it means, i think, that in a Pax with 200c or so you should have vapor, if not, it means the hash is not worth to vape maybe..

it should be the same with a crafty. I forgot to mention that you get a huge # of hits this way; when I put in .05-7g, I get ~15 hits. I don't use dosing caps, but some people think they add a bit more heat, so it might help with hard hash (from everything I've read about the caps, they're not at all necessary, mostly are a convenience thing).

Hmmm, interesting...it didn't even cross my mind that my old hash may not make for good vaping? Maybe I'll have to source out some kief?

Probably, especially if the old school pressed hash is dense and gooey. Stuff that needs a razor blade to slice can be tricky to vape (by itself)
Powdery hash or unpressed sift hash has higher surface area which helps it make contact with your vape.

Much better than a vapcap fo sho, taste better and kicks stronger
But it's breakable and less intended to be on bubbles I think, and the cleaning felt harder for me
And also when you heat is you need to make sure you don't cover the air inlet ring.....
But IMHO convection beasts are better

I've had mine for almost 4 years now, never had an issue with breakage,but yes it is not immortal. The pancake(rolled mesh) method works in other vapes too,but the vaponic is one of the very few that delivers this feature to vape it pure out of the box. Dynavap tastes like a metal ass to me,compared to the vaponic,i would rather break 10 than sacrifice that .
Also vaponic is easier to clean,dynavap requires a lot of scrubbing for me. Cause i clean it with ultrasonic bath and then q-tip until q-tip stop getting dirty,sometimes takes me like 10-20 q-tips.Metal surface is not as smooth as glass and polymerized oils cake everywhere.

I've had mine for almost 4 years now, never had an issue with breakage,but yes it is not immortal. The pancake(rolled mesh) method works in other vapes too,but the vaponic is one of the very few that delivers this feature to vape it pure out of the box. Yes it's the device I mentionned and it's designed to vape concentrates although it exists an optionnal flower bowl which works well to vape hasch... like I said in my previous post here... I tested both bubble H and Moroccan and this setup vape H better than anything else I tested!

Did you enjoyed ? imho induction heating looks like a good technology to vape Hasch... I can't say why though...

No because i don't have fried glass or screen to put in so i tried with hemp fiber and it was not efficient, fiber burn before the hash

Fibers burnt! Which t° did you used? I thought the glass fritted pad wasn't necessary... too bad you don't have just small enough ss screens to stack but I wouldn't imagine hemp fibers could burn... strange...

I only did 3 sessions with this setup, one with homemade bubble H (it melts), one with Moroccan (it doesn't melts) and last with a blend of Moroccan/grinder's kief... All 3 sessions was admirables&memorables, even got thick clouds at lower temp than mentionned previously, such smooth, such tasty and so much vapor!

Various ways, lazy way, hash sandwiched in thin herb layers top and bottom. Thin layers of ecig coil cotton cut to fit top and bottom containing the hash. The caps also work good, sometimes I put cotton on the bottom of the cap if oily hash. I have over 30 types of old school hash and have many vapes that can vape hash(starry, Nano, Ace, Focus Vape Pro, Vapcaps, Evo, Mighty, Tera) but there’s always a process to set it up, usually using cotton and/or spacers. The Rogue doesn’t do the hi temps like the conduction vapes ie: Nano, Starry, Ace etc, but it’s convection heater/bowl/air flow combo provides enough penetrating heat to fully extract from hash. It also is easy to add more cooling. The Vapcap and Evo are my favorites, but not really portables and I believe the Anvil is will be the Grail I’ve been searching for whenever it comes out.

It has been mentioned that hemp fiber is a good medium for hash, I’ll find out soon as I finally found a source and will be arriving soon, I‘m hoping it can make things simpler and better.

The Rogue is the way to go and excellent taste at lo temps for herb, I wouldn’t go Crafty or Tera if you want to vape hash. I just wish the Rogue had replaceable battery.

I never tried that, but suspect a lot of hash would end up stuck on the little blades. one thing I haven't tried is to heat the hash up. then, when it's soft, roll it out (using a jar or something like that) into a thin little pancake. let that cool, then chop it up. rainy day project...

I run my hash in a convection flame-powered vape, I put 2 or 3 screens inside the bowl so that the holes are tiny and less hash drips through (if you've got that mushy Moroccan melt). Chuck a hot 2 or 3 flame torch at it and let it rip!!

Late to the party here. But the terpsicle/tasty tube is without doubt the best vaporizer I have ever used for hashish. I have been experimenting with this for years, and have found ok results with many vapes, but this here... Oh lord.

Yesterday I did a bowl with approx 0.25 high grade moroccan hash with a little bit of hemp wool as a filter. It just kept producing thick, but cool vapor for ages. I am gobsmacked by it's performance! I use a globe v2 with whip and 6mm glass diffusers for cooling. No water as that produce to much blowback.

TM2 is the best portable I have found for hash, but it takes some working out.

Wanted to share my experience here as I have recently changed from vaping just herb to vape mostly dry sift (traditional moroccan style Hash). When you find a reputable source of this type of hash, its much more economic IME to vape good resin than good flower.
I agree with all the references made in this thread to the vaponic or similar (terpsicle) and I will add the vape I use everyday which is the Rocket by PT Glass vapes, such a wonder vaponic style vape made from thick boro and various cooling paths.
I just put a bit of untreated cotton and put my hash on it after crumbling it a bit. After 20/25 sec of torching, the flavor and density is out of this world. Also being as thick as it is, it retains the heat for 3/4 back to back hits. @phanthuong0305 is the maker and @tukatukera international retailer, I leave below a little video of my most common usage aside J-Hooks which I love!
