Vaporbrothers Dabbler & Eleven Pen

...

By the way when cleaning my Dabbler yesterday I realize why I felt I had to draw a little too hard when taking hits, it's just because of the airflow of the mouthpiece. It is seriously restrictive and now I know why people dislike it. I wonder if the idea is to restrict airflow for more regulated/consistent hits? I will probably continue using the default mouthpiece for now as it doesn't bother me too badly. I have found that I've been chiefing on the Dabbler like a blunt rather than a direct draw.

I dumped the mouthpiece right away and use the metal cone as the mouthpiece. I have had no problems with it. It is easy to clean, never gets clogged, doesn't get too hot, never had a spill or sucked up anything. I will never go back. Try it you might like it.

The best part is that a cap from a pure gold vile fits it perfectly and is air tight. I trimed mine to make it look better.

Edit: Also you can easily see the heater by looking down the opening.

The battery cartridge is gorgeous but you have got to lose that plastic cap.

Oh I understand that, but it spoils the beauty. You need to find a nice cap.
You're right. I really like the Filigree battery even though it was $10 more and it does need nicer cap. When you find one send one my way:)

Do you know someone with a 3d printer or a fellow FC'er who has access to a 3d printer? The folks I know who have a home 3d printer are always excited to work on another project. You could probably get a decent cap that way. Just my :2c:

I'm pretty sure I packed your order. If that was you, you were the first person to get the new added value piece. Enjoy your Dabbler and Happy birthday!
/yessir that was me, thanks! My wife loved the container and immediately confiscated it as hers. Wow this thing is the epitome of taste! I have had a learning curve with loading it though. Is the idea just to load enough to soak into the fibers, or can you add some on top also? Is it ideal to keep it vertical when first using it after loading, or does that matter?

ok, so here is the dabbler loaded, right before i screw the mouthpiece on and hit it. Am I loading too much and losing it off the coil, or is this what it should look like?

any advice is greatly appreciated, I really love this device, and want to learn to use it the best way possible

I love it, it has been my only method of consumption since it's arrival! I have found that you do need to be careful with it though because of it's smoothness. On more than one occasion, I have let my mind wander while hitting, and looked down at a flashing light...
:ko::ko:

Also... how important is the angle you hold the dabbler at to the quality of the experience? I can see the initial hit needing to be vertical, but what about afterwards?

re-edit #3 now... is this too much at a time?

In the last picture it's not too much I think. Load it as much as possible I say. Angle the Dabbler wherever you want the oil to flow. i.e. if stuff has run to the bottom, angling it up will get it back faster. Although the heater has a strong wicking action and doesn't really need any tricks like that to work well. I get the best hits when I just keep reloading on top and don't worry about what's gone to the bottom.

In the earlier picture you did surely swamp the heater on all sides and that does slow it down a lot. Do the most button pushing you can do, 10 sec at a time to let it catch up with that load.

Finally my dabbler has arrived. I bought the black one with an extra stainless steel skillet to have for different concentrates. Open the box and wow I was surprised how small the package was. Upon opening you can feel the weight and the piece itself feels wonderful in your hand. I tested the skillets etc. and noticed that my stainless steel skillet heated up much quicker after pressing the button compared to my stock black one that came with the set. I have not used the black one yet with any oil and just decided to throw the stainless in since it seemed to be the "better" of the two. I wasn't sure if this was something I should be worried about and whether I should contact vaporwarhouse/vaporbrothers. Also was expecting a side piece like the new silicone containers or what they did before with the little buster. I didn't receive either? Super stoked on the purchase otherwise, works like a champ.

Definitely a step up from that Cloud 2.0 piece o'shit

have I said how much I love this thing? the battery finally died on me last night, I had only charged it once since friday, so that isnt too bad with all of the use it has been getting. I will be charging it nightly now, just wanted to get a feel for how long the life actually is. My poor oil rig and mflb are going to gather dust in the cabinet for the forseeable future...

We've noticed this as well when testing heaters before we ship them. The coils on the original heaters did not have as many wraps and those heated up much faster than the later version with more wraps. I believe most of the recent stainless heaters didn't have as many wraps as the black heaters. So that may account for the slower heat up time.

Try to never let your battery completely die this is a good practice with lithium batteries as this can kill the battery. That's why the battery repeatedly flashes when the charge is almost gone. It's better to top off lithium batteries than to drain them.

Glad you are all enjoying your Dabblers. And congrats to MVapes for winning the Dabbler caption contest. check the contest thread later this week for another Dabbler contest. :D

So I'm about the clean my dabbler for the first time. Is this a good course of action?

-clean out any left overs :D
-soak coil in isopropyl (is 70% ok?)
-remove and wipe clean with q-tips
-let isopropyl evaporate
-continue use

thanks again!

I would use 90% and above. Soak cartridge coil side down in 1/8" of ISO. Local drug store will have it. I wouldn't use q-tips on coil, use a backup toothbrush that you don't mind getting rid of and brush then soak then brush again and repeat until clean.

Short burn offs and you should be good

I use q-tips. Soak the q-tip enough that a bit beads on the end, then I just drop the bead of iso right onto the coil and burn it off.

I ripped my first coil out by loading it with really good shatter haha, so that's why I am using q-tips to clean. I figure the q-tips will be more gentle than a toothbrush or a toothpick, plus the cotton can absorb a good amount of iso, whereas I don't see a toothpick or toothbrush soaking up much iso.

But really, just be extremely gentle and you should be fine. Here's a picture of that coil just for fun.

..yeah that sucked, but I had my oil rig with me so at least that shatter got used

That is some Romulan BHO Shatter made by Brutal Bee concentrates btw. It was obviously very good, and as hard as glass.

Well used globe after many days.. ripe for the reclaim!

Man Vitolo you keep teasing me with your globe from Vaporbros, excited to see these bad boys on the VB website soon. After getting my dabbler these globes just started calling. love being able to watch the vapor production during a session.
also wondering if you know what the coil is, nichrome or titanium? wondering if there were any differences from the vaped or dr.dabber ones

I popped my coil out by accident as well...definitely have to be VERY careful when cleaning. Gentle ISO soak is the only way.
