Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

Interesting you state that the vapman is hotter and harsher,

I would say that the Vaponic is the least(?) harsh of any vaporizer I've used, it often amazes me when I blow out clouds after the sweet sweet taste. . . I also wouldn't call the vapman hot and harsh unless I was comparing it to the vaponic. They are truly two of my favorite vaporizers.

Thanks @Dutch-Mic, this a great comparision!
Interesting you state that the vapman is hotter and harsher, I might pick up a vaponic.
As for the vapman, if you get the long wooden stem of the MFLB it really helps to cool the vapour of the vapman.

If you had to choose, what would it be?

I own at least four MFLB stems and still haven't tried them on the Vapman. Thanks for the advice!

And which one would I choose... I think I can still improve my heating technique with the Vapman, so at this point it wouldn't be fair to give you an answer. I can say, however, that I prefer the Vaponic for microdosing, and I prefer the Vapman before I go to sleep thanks to the more sedative high.

This is such great news for me. I get my Vaponic this week, and it sounds like it's exactly what I'm looking for: an on-demand, unregulated vaporizer for daytime micro-dosing with great flavor. I just did a bowl in my Omni XL and even in the smallest screen setting it kicks my ass. Which is okay today, and for right now.

But I really am looking forward to getting this into my rotation.

It's been a long time ... in the meantime the glass capsule of my boxmod heater has gone in pieces and I have not looked for replacements. In laziness the Vaponic ended up becoming a marker that does not writes, and the VapCap dominated unchallenged. I must have read right around here that the VapCap click is a good gym to understand the warm-up time of the Vaponic and that's how it is. I've been using it again for a few days now and with great satisfaction... great flavor, great fun... yea I know, nothing new for the fond FC members resident here..!

Not so patiently waiting for my Vaponic to arrive. Not cuz it's late or behind schedule, but because I've got some wonderful tasting bud just waiting to be sampled.

I saw a alert, clicked on it, saw that you replied in the Vaponic thread and thought "yes, his Vaponic has arrived!"...and then I read that you are still waiting! :suspicious:

I hope you'll like your new vape!

Me too. I can't imagine I won't. I've learned a lot about what I like and don't like in vaporizers over the past 6 months and this one checks off boxes on what's missing in my little vape family.

At the risk of being flagged for a back-to-back post I wanted to share my very quick first impressions of the Vaponic.

It arrived at my door in the hand's of my postman at about 1:30pm today.

I did one tiny, and two other 'largish' bowls; I define largish by loosely filling the chamber and lightly tamping it flat. The tiny one only filled the neck not the chamber. I pushed the last bowl near combustion but saved it at the last minute. But it was a close thing.

First. I am AMAZED. I have some very good flower, and had a stem in my Milaana about 3 hours ago. But man the Vaponic really kicked harder than I thought it would. It's okay, it's Monday. I was rewarded with the tastiest vapor I've ever had. And the tiny amount used-even the multiple bowls-it's nothing. But I can still taste it on my lips. Yummy.

I will most likely restrain myself to one 'largish' bowl per session. It extracts way better than I expected. I experimented with a single flame torch and a triple-flame torch. I very quickly preferred the triple-flame, and I think I'll be able to dial that in very quickly.

I like the pick tool and the Marker case. It's functional, and kind of nerdie cool.

I love the simple elegance of the design. It is so damned functional.

Time to practice a little bit more.

Cheers.

When I was looking for a USA source for the Vaponic, someone turned me on to the Elev8r so I bought that. However, the 45 second heatup time got too monotonous so it ended up in the 'drawer'.

The Vaponic looks like it will function on a somewhat shorter heatup time.

And, like you said.... the look is totally nerd. I love it.

Heat up time is MUCH quicker than that. I have a bunch of triple-flame torches from before I had my IH, and they heat up to vapor in around 10 seconds for first cycle. I'm still learning. I expect to have a 'count' figured out pretty quick-but that will only be an approximation as each strain will be a bit different. I'm expecting the visual to be part of the equation too.

Speaking of which-it's time for another go.

The visiual indicator works best after drawing, not so good to judge the first heating cycle bc the heat transfer to the herb is 'delayed' by air inslation until air flows :2c:
With an inline triple torch i would recommend 5-6s for the first heating cycle - and always take at least 2 long and soft draws after the first heating cycle, the 2. draw ideally gives light vapor to start a slow session. Pretty astonishing what a long session can be squeezed out of a tiny bit, if the heating cycles stay as small as possible
Many things to be learned by experience :myday: - i thought i mastered it in perfection, than i got too many different torches and well it takes 'experience' to switch around torches...

Now this might have saved me a few cleaning cycles as I've been getting used to mine the last few weeks :) I have just given up on the "visual indicator" that I'd read about somewhere because I was usually getting combustion indication :) The process has been slow for me because I have also been enjoying my VapCap and Starry more often. But I had just abandoned the visual thing because I did not want to carry a bright to see better. And I just started counting as I heat it. Maybe I should have read more of this thread, LOL

Edit: I should have mentioned that I have had some "just right" hits from it and was waiting for a single flame torch to slow down the process a bit for now. It arrived today :)

Volute of Vapor
Just a short post to mention I used my Vaponic with my DIY Volute, I place the Vaponic in the ceramic heater (it fits like it was made for that purpose!) at 666°F and wait around 12-15s for the first hit and only around 10s for subsequents hits, abv is perfect after 5-6 hits, that's a nice combo!

My 3-flame is in a triangle and 6 secs on the first cycle is too short for me. What I discovered, very happily this morning, is that a 10 second heat-up on the first cycle and 6 sec heat-up on the subsequent lead to a very nice session. My ABV is a nice even dark roast, and I'm right where I want to be to start a day on the guitar.

I will continue to use that formula and refine it over time. But I am a very happy new member of the Vapoverse.

I also want to send a shout-out @Vaponic Team who responded to my email within a couple of hours so it's clear that customer service is top-notch as well.:tup:

With pracitce comes the feeling, but nice to see u got it right without too much learning curve trouble :) Guess my shorter heat up is the result of a shorter flame distance? - i try to touch the glass while spinning with the tip of the inner darker blue flame (the hottest point). Makes it a tiny bit faster with less butane and less stress on the torch, at least in theory  ;)
Another thing is, when u think it needs to be reheated, do a long and gentle draw before that - it often still gives nice vapor that way, much better heat retention than a vapcap...

I come to love my vaponic more and more...With a low flame you can get awsome flavours and nice hit,but with a strong flame you can extract with one heating ,and there it really rips.Heating close to the screen and rotating quickly is pretty foolproof.
I use mine with an alcohol lamp. Its massive low temp flame heats up fast and even while it is not so easy to overheat like with butane :).(there is a temp to distance from flame graph on the top of previous page )
Check this video of the Columbian vaporizer Biovapo :),you will get an idea about it.

Hey sorry in advance. Tried combing a few pages but couldn't find.

What is average shipping time directly from Vaponic? Is there a US distributor?
