Vapman

I was in NJ last week. Had planned on taking the Persei/Herc to try "real" wax but the Persei went tits up at the last minute. The friend who got me the wax gave me a G Micro or something like that. It was very generous of him but it didn't hit very hard and the taste was meh. And...it left my mouth tasting like I had smoked a joint.

Got brave and threw what I had left of the wax in my checked bag (in a jar of aspirin). Can't wait to try the Herc but figured I'd give the VM a shot in the meantime. It already had this dry, tan hash in it, so I threw a little on top of the hash. WOW! The taste and effects were amazing. If my friend is only using those little vapes, he's really missing something.

I've finally received my Vapman torch a couple of days ago. I'm really impressed with it and the Vapman!

One thing I really enjoy that not many people seem to talk about is how deliciously golden brown it makes the AVB. That's something I could never get right with my MFLB.

Yes. My MFLB was never as efficient as the Vapman - not even close.

It used much more material (about 3 times as much, at least) and the effects I got were not even close to the Vapman's.

Add to that the hassle of looking after batteries all the time, and the MFLB became a gift to a friend. I don't even miss it...

I received my Vapman on Thursday. I ordered direct from Vapman. It took about 20 days (including weekends) to the bottom of Australia.

What a beautiful beast. So small and light but so powerful. I have tried oil in between two screens and was blown away with how well it worked. Super tasty.

I took it to a gig on Friday night. Thats something I haven't been able to do before.

Renè has been awesome too! Always replies to my emails quickly.

I'm already trying to justify buying a second one lol

Now that you're hooked, it's time for a more exotic wood! I love my walnut.

Vaporn anyone?

A little bit of Sunday fun in the shed. Two adapters made from a champagne cork, Arizer mouth pieces and a MFLB mouth piece.

The whip from the bubbler makes it possible to heat while you hit. Not exactly how the Vapman is meant to be used but it does give you instant visual feedback so you can cash a bowl in one big hit with out combusting.

Cant wait to have proper @Ed's TnT wong instead of my janky Cong!

Heat it up like normal then stick it in the bubbler. After drawing for a bit the vapor thins, at this point you can apply the flame again for a moment. Then repeat if your lungs are big enough.

I tried it a few more times and I'm not a fan of using it with such a big piece. Sipping on it with a smaller piece is better for me. So no need to be so crazy with the heat.

I feel like I get the most from the Vapman using it dry. After a few days of using nothing else and no water filter my throat is a little sore. I did do some pretty enthusiastic testing though.

which makes you an illusionist and us waiting for the next big reveal, every illusionist invents to amaze his public. just surprise us with more magic. :)

Thank you!
I am trying hard to keep you guys on your toes, which is not very easy with all these specialists, experts and connoisseurs on this forum.:)
The next big thing for us will be the vapman heating station, we are a little behind but not a lot, the first ones will be assembled in a few weeks. We are still waiting for the circuit board, all the wooden parts, the housing and lots of other things (a bit of magic) are ready.

I just thought of something... I had thought about this before but had never asked René: why did he make the middle part and the mouthpiece separate?

Looking at your mouthpiece reminded me of that: Why didn't René make that in one piece?

I know he put a lot of thought into the Vapman so it'll be interesting to see what he says.

I have a good excuse for not doing the middle section and mouthpiece in one part.
Here comes the excuse…. At the very beginning, all mouthpieces I made were made of wood and I thought that everybody would like it. After I found out that I am not everybody and that some folks want to have a plastic mouthpiece for apparently hygienic reasons (cleaning in solvents or in boiling water), I had to adapt to that request. With the POM plastic I found a high quality synthetic which meets the expectation of such clients. Because POM synthetic can`t be used for the middle section as it would melt on the hot heating chamber, it was given that I had to make the middle section and the mouthpiece separate. Besides this, a middle section and mouthpiece as a mono piece would make the whole thing more expensive and would be less interchangeable as the middle section is the only real wear and tear part of vapman. Therfore I will stick to this method and enjoy seeing what other people do with and for vapman, like Ed`s TNT mouthpiece for instance. Well done.
I just got one question towards @steama: How can the hole on this special mouthpiece be larger when it goes also inside the middle section? It is probably just a fraction larger otherwise the wall would be very thin, wouldn`t it? I am just curious, it is not a criticism.:)

Thank you,

vapman

@vapman You just made a bunch of my friends happy!

The torch is a little intense when five guys are sitting around a table, vaping.

The woosh sound gets annoying when it turns in to a woosh choir haha

Monday morning, and I already made a few of your friends happy. Not a bad start into a new week, I guess and hope! I promise to hurry up with the heating station, I want to help to make our life a little quiter, silence is a precious commodity now-a-days.

I wish you a good week!

I'm anti semantics . However IMHO the central pin is an important element( pun intended) unique to the vapman chamber, ? Loads are heated from the core also.

Consequently @vapman has the top off the pin changed as mine is different to some pictured here ,.
Was a legit, question as my pin has worn and doesn't centre so well and I don't remember it ever being as large as some seen here ???

@simpleasthcis: The pin for centering the filter has never changed in the last nine years, the copper bowls are CNC machined always according to the same drawing.
If you have a question concerning your vapman in particular, please turn to us by sending us an email
to: mail@element-medical.ch

Thank you,

OK .just that mine is somehow different it's seen very heavy use and is still fine
However the two pictured in a classified ad @llamaman001 there is a distinct difference .?
Thanks

I have noticed one thing about the vapman (after reading through the thread) is the "very small" number of complaints. I find this reason to be two-fold: no electronics and how well made and thought out the design of the vapman. I went to visit a grower (who doesn't use cannabis) and I busted out my arsenal. He always asked why do you own so many vapes. I told him its my hobby. Then I busted out my vapman (I just got it this week) and he was thoroughly impressed. He said (and you have to remember that he never reads FC or anything about vaporizers) You could leave it on my cherry wood office desk and it would look like art, his words. Unfortunately, I did not use it because we talked about this industry for hours over some burgers and wings at Hooters.

Excellent observation. To that I'd like to add 'no toxic fume paranoia'. If you eliminate those who know they are more sensitive to such things as the rest of us, and while they don't know much about food grade materials and catalyst out gassing they know for certain they're toxic and the rest of us are nuts for not knowing that you lose a bunch of non productive complaints.

Then again, maybe that comes under the heading of 'well thought out design'?

i wouldn't say complaints but rather observations. how can one can complain about the really small size of a portable vaporizer? especially as "portable" is a very fuzzy word in vaporizer industry. the plenty is being sold as portable too. :)
