Just joined the club thanks to OF's posts. Can't wait to meet this beauty of a vape
I hope you like it. In my small collection, it is the favorite. There is something strangely comforting about the process. Once you get comfortable with applying the flame properly, the little fella produces great effects with little material. Good luck.
still torn between this beauty or the lotus to be my flame driven vaporizer of the summer. the decision proves to be not an easy one. i'll probably will end up buying both in the long run, i just don't know which one to buy first.
my suggestion, choose according to size and best hit method. One can be hidden the other cannot. One needs grinding the other does not.
As for the rest, IMO it pretty much evens out.

If you are a torch person, you would love the Lotus- you gotta try it out sometime
Open Minds
I'm not a cloud chaser nor a flavor chaser. I guess I'm an "effects and efficiency chaser"?
I don't own a Lotus but I do own an MFLB and Two Vampan.
For some reason, I really dislike dealing with batteries, while most people don't mind this, I'd rather just fill my torch with butane and I'm always instantly ready for action. If my batteries are low, it could mean having to wait an hour or more for a session...
Now, the stealth factor of the MFLB is not easily matched by anything else out there and for the price, it's pretty cheap if this is important for you – which it is not for me at all.
Also, the company and the owner/founder are awesome. Their support is unmatched by anyone else I've dealt with – although the Vapman guys are at a very close second! This is my honest review of dealing with both...
The ritual of the Vapman is such a strong plus point for me that this alone has made me not touch the MFLB since I got the Vapman and fussing over batteries is my next big ticket item.
The Vapman is more like smoking a pipe while the MFLB is like sucking on a milk shake – this is not important to most people though, but a good friend of mine agrees with me on this point after using the vapman, MFLB and a Pinnacle Pro.
The MFLB gives me more visible vapor but uses at least twice the amount of herb than the Vapman. Efficency is another important point for everyone, I bet, so it's another important aspect for me.
I think I would love to own an e-Nano since it's a plug-in – no batteries to fuss over and they say it's very efficient. But is it as efficient as the Vapman?
I find it really hard to buy a Lotus since the Vapman is so awesome... If the Lotus guys would like to send me a free one to test and review, I'd be glad to take one off of their hands. Maybe one with cosmetic defects? Same for an E-Nano.
But to sum up, I would love to test these other vapes but now that I own a Vapman and have learned to use it effectively, I'd rather spend my hard earned ca$h on herb than on more vapes.
Sorry if I rambled...
Peace
Pretty much...although you are not a cloud chaser, the vapman will produce some nice clouds.i don't really care about clouds, as long as the vapor is at least slightly visible. my mind just needs a visiual confirmation of the process. i only have good words for the mflb, the device itself and the people behind it. i didn't get it first, but once i rediscovered it, the box really helped me to convert to vapor only. i'd like to think, that the stealth factor is unbeatable as of now, the only downside is the need to recharge batteries. the PA is of course a game changer in this matter. however, i wanted something as a backup or for the times where you just grab a vape without being worried about the status of your batteries. plus, i wanted something that maybe has a different effect, just for a change.
you say, you're an "effects chaser". are the effects of the two comparable or does the vapman provide a different experience? i'm missing the couch lock effect at times, and i was hoping to achieve it with a flame powered portable.
as for efficiency, i'm with you on this page too. quality herbs are different to come by, and i don't like the fuzz of dealing with the "providers" more than neccessary. it's hard to believe, the vapman is more efficient than the box, but it's good news.
a further point for the vapman would be, that they are based in europe and spare parts are easy to get by, contrary to the lotus.
you should check the vapolution 2.0 thread. it has an all glass air path and some seasoned forum members compare it to a log vape in terms of flavor and efficiency. it's afordably priced and if you ask politely, you might even get a forum member discount.
and a silly question to get back to the vapman, can you hit it in the darkness? i'm not talking about complete black darkness, more like poorly lit house entrance, a corner of a street or a bench in the park at night. as far as i understand, there is not a lot of visual control required while using the vapman. all one has to worry about is not to burn the own fingers or the unit itself, right?
the lotus, vapman, and the hammer are 3 of the best torch based vapes out there. All 3 hit good, produce nice clouds and the taste is amazing. Then I'll have to start saving my pennies unless I get a sponsor. Haha.
You should have plenty illumination to see what you're doing with the torch.
It does require a little focus and dexterity, but isn't that big of a deal.
I understand. But i don't have to pay attention to a change in color as with the lotus, right? I bet, some of you can hit the vapman blindfolded
I torch it more aggressively now....... but I know it well enough that I don't have to peek at the herb to know what's happening in there...
Anyone else have trouble keeping the plastic mouth piece in place? I'm wondering if the wooden ones would stay on better... They sure look better...

can you milk it like the lotus?Due to my lack of combustion control using the Lotus — I have been getting the bad surprise too frequently. So the lotus is going in the drawer in favor of the Vapman as my new daily driver. The VM has never combusted on me ever so combustion is not a problem.
By-the-way I don't blame the Lotus for the too occasional combustion only my limited Lotus skills. The truth is I love the Vapman more than my Lotus I am beginning to think.
