So are the only new releases clicks from here on in?
Hopefully not. I feel like the Click is complementary, not a straight improvement.

But I'd assume that they are selling more Clicks atm, which shifts their product focus accordingly (similar to when they stopped selling POM mouthpieces).

It would be great to have different bowl options for each new offering (manual or click, 0.1g or 0.2g), so you could customize it to your liking when checking out.

there is going to be a limited batch of v1 but I don't know when...

Hi @Radwin Bodnic

So, how's your experience customizing the Vapman Click with gems going?
Will you share some new, beautiful photos with us, so we can dream a little?

Personally, the fact that it requires more heat keeps me away... but I love the idea...!

And then... adding a gem to a piece of craft jewelry is great!

✌️💚
Hey @fangorn

Thank you for the kind words !
I still use mine several times a week and still love it ! It's holding strong.
I have a few to make but the parcel containing the custom cut gems has been lost for mor than a month. :uhoh:

It finally reappeared and I should be able to make a few pictures in the days to come ! I'm not working very fast though, these are fastidious to work with...

Edit : mods, I'm sorry for the double post but the quote function still don't work when editing a previous post.

The swiss made units are not assembled in the same way than the Italian ones.

On the Swiss units the nozzles are first clamped individually on the heart piece then the bowl is placed on the nozzle and the end of the tubes that protrude inside the bowl are crimped to set the assembly.

On the Italians where the heart piece chimney is larger, the bowl is assembled with the nozzle first then the sub assembly is placed inside the heart piece and clamped with the aluminium clamps.

If you want to mount a click bowl on a Swiss made unit then you should get the bowl and the nozzles individually as new parts (before assembly), then proceed as mentioned above for the Swiss assembly. (You should also get the right tool to set the nozzles inside the bowl).

I think that René recently changed the design on the basic (pures) units he makes so the bowl can be swapped just like on the Italian version.
I could not figure out what was different about his new style...I love it. His Pures are just amazing. He is genius.

Ah... glad to hear your lost package has found its way!

That must be terribly frustrating!!

But on the other hand, it allowed you to do more in-depth stress tests, which isn't a bad thing!

I'm waiting for photos of these works of art... and in the meantime, I hope your project turns out as you hoped!

Have a great weekend everyone!

It turns out I just destroyed 3 first generation click bowls in the firsts steps of the modification. :rip:
The two firsts units I've modified had second generation bowls and apparently only these can be modified (at least with my skills).

So I'm waiting for more bowls (second gen) from M&D to go on with the gems I have. I know for sure I won't be making a lot of them. The process is very fiddling and I'm not Dan Morrison : if something is too painful to do, I drop the thing.

But thanks for your support and enthusiasm !

Do you know anything about wood selection, classic vs pure etc etc
I don't know.

I admire the fact that you took the risk to try...
I had several interesting ideas... but it never got past the thought stage, did it?!

Ouch... lost gems and three unfinished attempts, that's a tough launch!

Okay, well, let's just say it was a false start, haha.

We're waiting for the gems and the three click bowls!

I remember you mentioning that your mod allowed you to take multiple hits per heating cycle; just out of curiosity, what's your take on possibly adding other materials to the bottom of the bowl for added heat retention?

And would you say that Vapman is a good fit for that style of vaping? I've always viewed and used it more as a session vape, even though it's technically on-demand, so your experiment sparked some interest!

Off topic, but a solution for this is to duplicate your tab and insert quotes into a new post draft, then copy them over to the other tab where you're editing your post. Tedious and annoying, but it works. You can also figure out the BBCode for quotes and type it manually, but for me that's more annoying.

What's the difference between first and second generation?

I'm also curious what experienced users who own OGs and clicks would describe as the main differences - aside from the obvious spec differences like bowl size.

I have both Clicks and v1 and v2 Italians. I used the clicks briefly when I bought them and then went back to using the same 2 or 3 VMs I used pre-click: an olive wood v1 and an applewood v1. I could go back to using the clicks, but they don’t work well with the station and I use VMs for small doses, so the bigger bowl doesn’t matter to me. Given the imminent tariffs in the US, I’ll probably just stick to what I have.

I had the thought of making a quartz or corundum disc with beveled edges and a hole in the middle that would fit at the bottom of the bowl. This disk would take the place of the two click discs and of the top gold plated cover and would be secured with the little circlip.
But that's some precision machining on very hard materials and I just can't afford any prototype. Plus a small serial would be something like a hundred units, which is way too much.

Yeah I really like taking multiple pulls between reheats. I hold it like a small pipe. It somehow behave like the Vaponic but with the typical vapman signature and feeling. It's still a session vape but it still can kill the load in 2-3 rounds if you're very agressive.

@hotmeals you are a genius. Thanks for the tip, I'll make good use of it !

What's the difference between first and second generation?
The first gen click bowl had the inhale logo engraved after gold plating (as well as more machining in the discs space). I don't think they've been commercialized. These were on the prototypes. Second gen click bowls have all the machining (including engraving) done before the gold plating. And they're more sturdy than the gen1 as I've found out when trying to mod the latter.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing! Maybe @vapman will pick up on this. It would probably be a great selling point to be able to have a more laid back sesh.

@DgN'R showed me this video :

That's a great idea and easy to try for anyone who wants to know how hits a vapman with more thermal mass.
The video came out when I was making my first gem prototype. Great mind think alike !

I wonder what's the weight difference between the gem and the balls. One sure thing is that the balls are a lot closer to the herb than on the ruby click and the load is a lot smaller. Haven't tried it because I don't have the right size of balls on hands but I bet it's perfect for one hitters !

A little annoying to empty the bowl though...
