in the long term, it is of course our goal to offer the heating station as standard and not just limited ;)

Will the heating station work on both Italian and Swiss made Vapmans?

Literally the same question... 5 posts before yours.
A question about the forthcoming station: will it work with all existing Vaphumans? I.e. Swiss Legacy, current Italians, VM 2.0?

Answer (4 posts before yours) :
yes the station will work with all vapmans :)
but it might be that you feel a little difference in the temp settings because the swiss bowl has a very slightly different weight, but it already affects the temp settings :)

Purple heart is my guess...
Oh yeah, you're probably right.

Sure looks great, however I personally worry a little about possibly reacting to the more exotic woods over time, given how "intimate" the VM is. But that is most likely just me being a hypochondriac about it (and almost everything else...).

Edit: By "intimate" I just meant that it's small and has a wooden vapor path, not that I use mine in any inappropriate way. Just to be clear...

What a beauty, what are we looking at?
It's Lacewood. (read that it should not be that toxic, but normally I don't use my special exotic beauties like this one) Now I realise that i translated it wrong in my family picture post (left one to the ebony wood)

Does the lung structure logo look like an upside down Vapman pan to anyone else?

Wow….
Probably, you made some research about the subject, so maybe you can share your conclusions.

Cause, I just googled it little bit. And it looks that, basically wood - any kind of wood - is very problematic material for vaporisers - all type of wood contain tannins (dark coloured more, bright coloured - less), and “Tannic acid is moderately toxic by the inhalation”.

So, everyday use, during the years of, let’s start count: vapmans, sticky-bricks, tinymights etc, etc - it’s not exactly healthy way to vape?

Please, tell me, I’m wrong.

Better than a bic lighter and a Toke Master Executive.

Slide-Easy,
Hey! Help me choose a grinder that works best for the Vapman. I have been using a medtainer for years, mostly from ignorance and laziness, and finally have decided to buy something proper and hopefully stainless steel. Any thoughts? Current #1 for me is the OMD Aroma-3, but it's slightly out of my price range...

Very helpful!

But I was thinking, that this kind of problem it’s opportunity for improvement.

For example - using non-toxic low-thermal-conductivity ceramics instead of wood. Or something else. I’m not specialist

Hey vapman users! Super hyped for 2.0 and plan on getting one when it comes out I was curious how is vapman for hash and dabs? Also how fast does it heat up? For flower and everything. Ive never owned vapman was debating between vapman and lotus and went lotus before I heard about the 2.0.

It's my #1 for hash; truly brilliant in every way. I also own a Lotus for comparison, which has a slight edge when it comes to flower IMO. They honestly make a great combo, with similar yet different feel and rituals.

Heat ups are very quick and intuitive with the VM. You do it in stages with a torch lighter, and it takes ~10s overall. One hit at a time. There are plenty of guides for this to get you started, and you'll later find your own "style" once you're comfortable with the basics.

Another option is to get a heating station, which takes care of the heating for you. But they are quite expensive and absolutely not needed for most people - more of a complementary equipment to further refine the experience.

All in all, I'd be surprised if you'd end up not liking it. You seem to have good taste. ;)

Thanks I was wondering that one thing I dislike about lotus is heating time sometimes I just want a quick puff and the pre heat is just terps dont get anything from just that. If i saw vapman 2.0 before I got lotus idk if I would have gotten it honestly🤣 lotus is still nice tho dont get me wrong.

Just a little reminder from the rules :
  • If you have a question or comment regarding material safety, post it in General Discussion. Do not post it in a model thread.
But anyway, the Vapman thread always been open to these discussions. (About the gold plated copper pan, essences of wood, mica dust, etc... Use the search function if you don't want to read through all the thread.)

The effects of tannins in vaporization could be a topic on itself but you can also discuss it in the wooden vaporizer thread if you want more input from experienced wood vaporists.

From the vaporizers you cite above, I don't think the TM have wood in the vapor path nor in the air path.

Tannins also have a lot of beneficial properties. But if you're really concerned about the harm they can do, a deep acetone soak of your vapman middle section will take all the tannins off the wood. Don't forget to wax the wood back after the soak.

I think that we're vaping tanins from the flowers we put in our vaporizers anyway.

But I was thinking, that this kind of problem it’s opportunity for improvement.

I think it's the idea behind the stainless steel vapor path of the Vapman 2.0.

I was curious how is vapman for hash and dabs?

@T9R have been faster than me but here are a few threads you might consider reading :
Best ways to vape hash
Vaporizer for bubble hash
Vaping temple ball hash

Also use the search function on this thread with the word "hash", you'll find a lot of useful informations

Extra fine grind is probably what works the best with the Vapman. IMHO, the MFLB finishing grinder deliver the perfect consistency for the vapman. It's made of wood and stainless steel though, not all SS.

I would consider a grinder that can produce a very fine grind or a 2-pieces grinder (you can keep grinding down to the consistency you want). For the same result, you can use 3-pieces grinders upside down but the aroma 3 is not suited for that : material will escape from the bearing.

I tend to recommend the VM to everyone. Actually. But it is not a fast and heavy hitter, if that is what you are looking for? With the Vapman comes a very special kind of mindfullness that involves appreciating the process of heating and consuming it carefully step-by-step. Therefore the first hit will almost every time be soft on the throat and low temp terpene-dominant. I really like that the flavor changes (or degrades) and clouds evolve over the course of one quick session. Of course you can heat it up a bit more and get clouds with the very first hit. But I don't think that is what the VM is made for. You would have to "ride the line" every time, that means you will probably sometimes get near to combustion. You would lose most of the flavor at the beginning and probably the benefits of the microdosing.

I'd still recommend buying a Vapman. I'm sure there's more than one (my) way to use it :D

I mean faster then the lotus. 10seconds or less is pretty quick imo. But yeah I will get one but gonna wait for 2.0
