Vapman

Got my vapman today have to say been loving it a lot so tasty and decent Vapor more than I was expecting.

Sadly the concentrate sleeve didn’t come with it they where out of stock was really looking forward to hitting hash but I’ll have to wait cuz it seems a lot of shops in Canada are sold out and not looking to pay customs on a 10 dollar piece.
Honestly I've never had the screen and use mine almost exclusively for hash. Cleanup is a breeze, I fold half of a paper towel into a triangle and wipe bowl right after I finish my session, then exhale through mouthpiece and wipe away any reclaim. So please, feel unburdened and enjoy some hash with wild abandon.

Hello dear friends

We are finally making significant progress on the vapman heating station.
After intensive testing, it works perfectly.
And perfect is almost an understatement. The vapman, in combination with the heating station, is simply ingenious and allows an incomparably good vapor experience.
Those who have already tested this killer combi will agree.

The presale will start next week, and we will ensure you get the heating station as a Christmas present.
All components are current, and there will also be a few small but delicate updates.

Here is a little foretaste.
It will come in a beautiful combination of olive green and olive wood.

Stay tuned
Michael and David.

Agree since 2015

This is probably the first Vapman Heating Station out in the wild.

I was so happy when this project came true in 2015. I read about a prototype in 2013 for the First time. In those days i found a paper published in a Journal of the technical college of Bern/Switzerland, where they introduced a newly developed "heating station" for the Vapman.

Rene himself once gave an insight about the development:

Dear all

Thank you for the great response to the vapman station!

The original idea of the heating station goes back to 2008 when a friend of mine (American from Boston) walked in my workshop on christmas eve with a cheap soldering iron, asking me to do him quickly an electric heating device for his vapman so he could use it over chrismas. Ali it needed was an adapter with the form of the vapman bowl to mount on the soldering iron. After some work on the lathe, we clamped the soldering iron in the vice, heated it up and placed the vapman for only 4 seconds on the hot adapter and it worked amazingly well. We had a good laugh, wished each other a merry christmas and he left. It actually worked that well that I seriously started thinking about an electric heating station for vapman. Needless to say that the set up with the soldering iron was in no way suited for the public, it was by far too dangerous in all sorts of ways, but I liked the idea. After some tests with special made heating cartridges, I abandoned the project realizing that it would be a very long way from the soldering iron to a save and practical station. Besides this I am no specialist in electronics and to me it was clear that it needed exactly such in order to control the heating and to make it practical and save for the average consumer. Four years later in 2012 I had a second go at it and went to the technical college of Biel, asking them for help. The task was difficult because lots of the characteristics I wanted the station to have, are standing completely diametrically to each other. I wanted the station to be small with low energy consumption and at the same time to be as quick as the jet-lighter. Three things which don`t go hand in hand at all. Further it is difficult to control and measure the heat in a short time on such a small mass of copper as the vapman bowl actually is. To cut the story short, it was not easy and not cheap but we finally worked out a practical solution. After the research it was my turn to make a presentable device. I designed and made five prototypes and gave three of them to shops for trial. The feedback wasn`t encouraging, claiming having to wait for too long in between the hits for the station to heat up. After spending enormous amounts of money and time on that project, I have seen it and gave up completely. In fact I didn`t want anybody to mention the station anymore, I was really fed up with it and regretted not spending all that money and time on other things I needed much more, like holidays for instance. - After letting it rest for two more years, in summer of 2014 I was ready to tackle the problem of the heating station afresh. I went back to the college and (thanks to the gods of vaporizers) we could find a solution to the problem of the lengthy heating time without having to change much. In fact it had only to be programmed in a different way, unbelievable how long it took me to make that step. Good things take time, don`t tell me..

I'm super happy that you chose this color!!! With olive wood, it will go really well and it will give a very soft and natural whole!
so cool, thank you!

and congratulations to all three of you for your work and the news announced today! 💚

in any case your announcement... raises lots of questions... for which we should soon have answers 😁

Cleaning with mustard powder.

1. Put gloves. Mustard eats skin.
2. Mix mustard powder with water - get something like toothpaste.
3. Apply on pan. Thin layer. Avoid to put inside of nozzles. (It’s very difficult to wash it. If you are not so accurate avoid this cleaning technique. Burning leftovers of mustard inside of nozzles - you don’t need it)
4. Wait 1 hour.
5. Wipe the mustard paste. (Nozzles!!!! Careful!!!)
6. Scratch the dirt with wooden something small and sharpened.
7. Wipe the leftovers with small wet cloth. (Around the nozzles!).
8. Repeat “7” until the pan completely clean from mustard paste. If you not so sure, that you completely cleaned the mustard - wipe with alcohol pad in the end - after - wipe alcohol with wet cloth - make one heating round without weed.

Done.

Whole cleaning process about 1.5 hour (1 hour of waiting).

Cleaning the filter - the same idea.

Scratching with wooden stick is essential. And it doesn’t scratch the pan.

Mustard powder made 100% of mustard seeds - the greenest cleaning solution.

If you have better way to clean - I will be happy to know - avoiding nozzles is pain in the ass.

Thanks to you! I was worried the heating station would be retailed at more than one hundred. I can get a new vapman if the price is at no more than 100€

Very clean pan, well done !
You could plug wooden toothpicks in the nozzles to avoid fiddling.

@Gourmet uses magic sponges to clean the residues on the pan.

Not sure if it is better but I use 10-15%caustic soda solution, applied with q-tips, upside down. Then white vinegar, then water

To be sure to remove eventual leakage through nozzles I put a needle inside the tubing to help vinegar and water to flow through tubing assuring complete removal of caustic soda

It is a 20minutes operation, depending on how dirt it is. All the gunk is softened and removed easily by NaOH

Greetings, I am very excited about the new Station. I think it will be the best and most perfect one yet and also, the color is going to be awesome as well. I am glad I did not get an older version of it when I had the chance...I really cannot wait! Thank you Vapman. Ciao.

Hi, all, I've been in the woods, looks like I've come back to some pretty exciting news! I know some wonder if it's worth the price, and while I can't imagine giving up the torch the station is an equally satisfying experience, maybe even better. I love my OG station and look forward to a green olive one!

It's got me pondering the possibilities of a portable station, but in the meantime the torch will take you where you need to go, morning,

Just chiming in to say I love my station also. Takes the experience of the vapman to the next level, perfect flavor every time and still a nice ritual to engage in. And with hash in the station, forget about it, so good. Ill probably preorder a new station just cause i like my original so much. I do wonder what the upgraded features are, i hope they release the specifics soon.

Even though I still mainly use a torch for the mindful ritual of it, I 100% agree with all of this. The station is such a good complement.

However, old vs new, I don't think there will be a noticeable difference in performance/functionality. The reason they had to redo everything instead of just taking over and continue with the original production was, IIRC, due to a glitch with the automatic shut down. So if you haven't had any problems with that, it'll likely be the same.

But regardless, it's still very exciting for both old-timers and rookies to have it back on the market!

is this thing on?
I have the blue and the black station and they are both perfect. It's great that Vapman is bringing back the next version of it. The blue one has seen some action over the years and is still as good as on day one, these are quality devices. Vapman always used high quality components and it shows.
