Vapman

So, I'm super late to the party. I've no idea how I've overlooked the Vapman for so many years. Anyway, when I finally really had a look at it after having read about it in many different spots, I didn't take long to order a CherryClick.
It's my first torch powered device and wow, am I impressed. It's so tiny, convenient, has an amazing taste, produces great clouds and hits really hard.

I also noted some minor negatives though. My mid section didn't come in really 'polished', meaning it looks like it wasn't really sanded down on the inside.
After the first few sessions I opened it and realized at first that it really collected some debris and I feel cleaning frequently will be necessary. What I was really surprised about was that after an iso-bath the cylinder and screen couldn't really be cleaned to their original state but remained kinda burnspotted.
What is also not too surprising but I hadn't read about was that I had a real hard time getting that cylinder out. I guess it's normal that you have to use something to push it out, going in from the top?
I also don't really understand why cylinder and mouthpiece (POM or glass) don't really connect but, at least in my impression, leave a gap. How's your experience with this part gunking up badly over time?

When isocleaning the bowl I also realized that the bottom section spins which made be careful and wonder whether this friction might wear off the gold coating.

However, aside from these things, as initially written, I'm super impressed with the overall experience and feel a little stupid for having missed out so long.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Do you mean the Swiss Version?
Yes...original Vapman or Vapman 2.0 that can go onto the Station...there are still some for sale on the INHALE website...the Indian Satin wood is gorgeous. The Station and one of those and your better set. My lovingly humble opinion. Cheers everyone!

PS THEY HAVE STILL THE ZEBRANO 2.0! I would get that one. Gorgeous!

And it is the same recommendation i can give.
After intense testing and use of the vm click I came back to the smaller vapmans, regularily
heated on the Station.

Over all i like the weighting of all components that are included in the vaporization process in the og vapmans more than on any other device i know.

My love goes to an italian olive v1 pure, but as an daily used device i like the v2 ones more because of the improved cleaning possibilities. And I like to have the airflow full open, the v2s have an improved one.
I know I can drill my v1 airflow a little bit, but that feels a bit like a sacrilege to me.

But beside this the vm click is a fantastic device and would be my recommendation to every one new to the vapman universe.
It is easier to learn how to use it right and harder to burn your weed in it.

I rarely vape outdoors, but if i do I prefer the vm click for it. Simply because when flame heated I can act more thoughtlessly.

I've had a vapman since November. It's quite astonishing that this device was already available when I started vaping some ten years ago. I now have three and on the fence of buying a station. The reason I'm not pulling the trigger is that I like the manual aspect of the process so much.

Lots of good reasons to get the Station, among them sharing with friends. Just about everyone can use it without needing to learn anything more than what the lights mean. Makes for a nice, laid-back, friendly session.

Of course you don't really need to use it every time--I probably torch mine about half the time still, just because it's fun to do. Glad you're enjoying your Vapmans in any case!

I had never experienced this and was able to wipe off the rest after a few days in iso.

I can take it out from the bottom, its like a metal ring between the filter and the centre section.

This is deliberate, it has been argued that heat transfer from the "heat shield" (the cylinder) to the mouthpiece is avoided.

Alright, makes sense, how about getting gunked though?
This also addresses one point I forgot to mention. When ordering I also got the glass mouthpiece as I expected the standard to easily be harsh and hot. Just to discover it totally isn't, which is amazing - and surprising.
Edit: Ah, one more surprising thing, considering the not so fine screen and short path, to me was that I've hardly had small particles reach through. Probably mostly with too fine grind/freshly cleaned. Do people put in finer mesh screens between screen and cylinder?

I can take it out from the bottom, its like a metal ring between the filter and the centre section.
Okay, interesting. It is normal for the midsection's bottom to get a bit scorched though, isn't it? I expected that to have caused some shrinking which made the cylinder not easily removable.
Edit: checked again after posting: This time I could pull it out without needing force from the top hole. 👍

After 3 months, I finally accepted that my station, returned for recalibration, was lost ...

I exchanged several times with David from Team Inhale, and they made a cool commercial gesture which allowed me to buy a station.
I chose the factory seconds this time.

I was ready to abandon but you never know ... Maybe one day, there will be no more station ... I would have been sad not to have the opportunity to buy one!

Great ... something to wait !!!

@vapman
Thank you for understanding and supporting in this situation!

Next problem ... let's see this vapman in Blackwood which cracks everywhere ... I will submit it to more regular use to see how it evolves!

Have a good week to everyone !!

I’ve had my vapman click about a month now, when I put the mouth piece holder onto the bowl and turn to lock it doesn’t reach the sides to lock it in place anymore anyone else having this issue and know how I can fix it?

Only one of the pins don't touch the spring, right ? The other pin touches the opposite spring ?
If so, the center post of the bowl is off center. It can be bent back carefully but it can also snap...

The pins extending from the midsection are not glued in. You can take a small pliers and pull the pins out slightly (just enough to reach the springs).

So….my cherry click came in and as I was doing a dry run, I noticed the wood itself smoked at the click.

Guessing my flame is too large?

Possibly. Go with a single flame pocket torch set to ~.6" and use a pulsing technique to heat rather than a single, continuous heating to the click. A simple one is 3x 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off, with a 4th or 5th round on a cold start. This will help keep too much heat from the wood while allowing the copper to spread the heat and soak the pan. Here's a recipe book for heating techniques on reddit, and the official guide.

That said, some smoke is probably inevitable, and further scorching the black area will not harm the Vapman--the char arrests further damage unless taken to extremes.

Can get my hands on an OG (italy) or an used V2.
What's your opinion, which one to get (can't afford both)?
And what mouthpiece besides the POM makes sense? Been looking into the wooden one, as i heard the metal one can get pretty warm.

I personally love the glass mouthpiece with the OGs. Never tried on a V2/click midsection though... I'm surprised you rate the Pom higher than the glass mouthpiece @davesmith... ;)

But as I've only used the ruby modified click for a few months, I stick with the pom mouthpiece. Before that my most used was an OG pear with either glass or stainless steel mouthpiece depending on the storage solution chosen.

I am partial to pure OG's....the original Vapman made by Master Rene...and in a perfect world a glass mouth piece or wood mouth pieces made by Edtnt or Rogue...

Good Vibes can make glass mouth pieces for the Vapman...you have some nice choices....but, my humble opinion is to get the original model...works great in the Station as well.

The Vapman is the greatest microdose vape that ever has existed...

I'd get the OG (or Italian V1 in this case) and then save up for a Click. The OG/V1 fits more mouthpieces and WPAs, and you can also use the midsection on the Click, if you'd ever want to, and vice versa. The Click will give you everything the V2 has, plus more. I'd get the POM MP + a glass one if you can, although the wooden ones are nice, too.

This OG / V1 / V2 classification is confusing.
Swiss OG have a different geometry than all the subsequent iterations.
Couldn't we all agree on the first Italians being the V1 ? And the Swiss being the OG ?
I totally agree, I was trying to clarify his terms while keeping him oriented, but you are correct. The OGs are all the Swiss Vapmans, the V1 Italian is similar except for the rod/pan placement, the V2 Italians are the same but with the lined midsection and more adjustable air intake, and the Click keeps that and adds the larger pan and audible indicators. As far as I know the only differences among the OG Swiss Vapmans are how/where they're branded (along with occasional special ones like the Endless Knot).
