If considering linseed oil, I would suggest looking into polymerized linseed oil specifically. Boiled isn't really food safe and raw takes forever to fully dry; polymerized is basically the best of both worlds if it's confirmed to not contain any drying agents.

Yes I believe it is possible to do that. Someone else here was successful in doing the same thing.
Side note: this purple heart looks so goddamn good in sunlight I just can’t get enough

so i am excited! just got this beauty! it is an apple wood (verified by david and michael) that has never been used! this is vapman number 13 … i have one more on the way and then i’m taking a break from vapman acquisitions (unless something irresistible comes my way lol)!

They have the logo. The betas sometimes show a little copper color on the logo, but the production ones are fully gold plated.

I'm still eyeing one with the wooden case, but I can't make up my mind to order, there is a decent sale on it though. To those who can answer, how do you prepare/carry your Vapman for a day out? Does the included hard case have enough room to include some sort of small stash? I don't need the lighter to be part of the carry/bag/case so I'm trying to plan on how I might carry it.

Honestly, Vapman isn’t my favorite for on the go but for a portable session/travel, the above works well.
For “around and about,” I usually keep it assembled in the bottom half of the egg to protect the mica. Sits stably upright in most jacket/hoody pockets.

I carry it loaded in the egg, along with a doob tube of ground herbs. I carry those and a pocket torch in a small sling bag. But you could totally use the hard case, old-school:
The box would require the baggie and toothpick to be carried externally. The hard case is probably the most compact way to carry the complete kit, and the case will fit a jacket pocket.

I use the new hard case. I can fit the vapman an a 5ml doob tube with ground herb (allows to refill 4 times). Lighter goes out of the case, just in the pocket

I got given the vape to test. Never tried it before, but it always looked like a cool device.
So I would love to hear some beginner directions and advices.

My basic heating technique for my Vapman with no click is 4 x 3 seconds heating with single flame torch, with 3 seconds pause between each cycle to get to vaping temperature. Aim the torch right at the centre of the bowl with the tip of the inner blue flame just touching it. Then draw. Reheat for 3 seconds and draw each time for tasty vapour. If you are not getting enough vapour for your tastes add an extra 3 second torch blast, making sure to have the 3 seconds pause between blasts. For hash I do 4 x 4 seconds for the initial heat again with 3 seconds pauses between each blast of the torch. It is quite important to get the torch flame size set correctly at the same diameter as the screen.
I think there are some recipes knocking around for other heating techniques. Other variables are the airport which you can leave open and feather or keep closed.
