Vapman

I've done countless acetone soaks (it's been 12 years that I use my first vapman).
as long as you wax the wood after the soak there won't be any issues.

I wouldn't put the wood in alcohol since I'm pretty sure alcohol won't evaporate fully.
ok take it from your proof of concept examples that it works! ignore me 😀

EDIT: Back in my combustion days I used to use dugouts sometimes
..and when they were filthy I would just boil the wood dugouts in a pot of water for a bit and that did the trick too..

Infinite realities, infinite possibilities
When reading these cleaning post I always feel dirty.

One of my vapman had seen 10y of use. The only cleaning I do is maybe twice or three times a year:
Remove screen and scrape some of the cunks and push an earbudwax stick thingy through the mouthpiece.

That is it.

To me the vapman is self cleaning
It so saturated in resin I can take a hot hit of an empty bowl and get a decent puff out of it. Lol

Edit: forgot: I do make a needle red hot and push it through the air intake of the upper piece to open them up

my vapman click arrived today ... i got the amaranth/copperwood and it's a beauty! i couldn't find any nicks or scratches on mine and i love the look of the copperwood amaranth body with the purple amaranth mid piece. i'll give it a test run tonight ... i've been enjoying my beta unit so i'm sure this one won't disappoint.

the case it comes in is nice ... although i like the wooden vapcases better (i had a purple heart vapcase waiting for it) ... the new case would be better for pocketability!

Is it normal for the bottom of the wood on the mp section to get charred? I'm not too bothered as I'm going to wabi sabi the shit out of this thing. I'm just concerned it's user error.
It depends on how aggressively you heat it. I like lower temperature hits so I pulse mine, giving a couple of seconds gap between each pulse. This seems to allow the heat to dissipate and prevent scorching of the middle section.

Got my Click today in the mail. Has anyone else experienced a problem where the middle stake in the bowl that connects to the midsection is slightly bent, such that the connection can't be easily made? A little hard to take a photo of but you can kinda see the bend in this pic.

I think I'd let them know. It affects use and may make using a screen tough, etc.

Enjoying my Cherry click. Still not able to use the station purchased a few weeks back but that’s another topic.

For cleaning, how do you now remove the bottom mouthpiece screen? Used to be two screws to remove, now only small tabs. Does the bottom screen just bend around those on the 2.0?

I actually dropped my Cherry click onto a rug from about half a metre. It seemed to bend the centre post. To be honest it was a tiny drop so I wasnt sure if the drop did this or it was like this already. Perhaps the heating and twisting also puts a strain on the post?

I was worried as the bowl did not form a decent seal as like you say it made it hard to attach the two pieces together as the post needs to fit in the hole in the centre of the screen. So I heated it up and gently bent the post back into place so now you can't even see it was bent. Seems to function fine and seals properly. Not sure but combined with your experience it suggests the post is a bit fragile and maybe bends easier than the thicker post in my OG Swiss Vapman.

I applied a little pressure to the center post and it seems to in a good position now. The new post definitely seems more pliable than the old one, which makes sense given it's skinnier and longer.

First couple bowls off the Click have been a huge success! Really enjoy the temperature calibration of the disk, it's perfect for my style. The cherry wood aroma is a bit strong for my tastes, hopefully that levels out. I also really quickly absorbed the Click muscle memory and the timing works great with my 2.0 as well, so this is a great training wheel device!

Glad it worked out okay in the end. The aroma will be there for the first few bowls but it definitely does reduce as you use it more. There will be a slight hint of wood that mixes with the vapour, which I have grown to really love

I had the same issue with my prototype. It fell on a hard floor, mouthpiece first.
I bent it back as you did with no issue. Thankfully copper is pretty ductile and not really subject to mechanical stress.

My Walnut Click has arrived on Friday, so I had a few days to try it out.
First of all, total TAT was 6 days starting from placing order > paying > shipping. This is a big WOW, considering shipment from Italy to UK, customs etc (no extra payment) :-)
Unit itself is super cool with beautiful colour and it gives amazing old woody smell.
Click works great and it's very easy to operate for someone, who didn't use a torch before, yet, I'm sure I still need more time to fully discover its potential.
In terms of medication results, I think it has its own signature and kicks harder than I thought, which is great and keeps me very happy as I like variety between my vapes ;-)
The only little downside is the "container/case", which I think is a bit too small, can scratch the unit if forced and you cannot keep it loaded and ready. I think I would prefer an egg more and maybe will get one for Easter ;-)
Generally speaking, I'm happy with my new toy, thx.

"The Walnut Click" arrived yesterday... it's definitely a Vapman!

The short version is: "Bravo, bravo, bravo to the Vapman team for their remarkable work on this version".

I only had OGs, or an Italian custom... no V2.
I had resisted, like a grumpy old man, loyal to the creator for an unknown reason... which is more romantic than pragmatic... but certainly tickled by slightly aggressive commercial practices!

Well I did well to try this version!

Aesthetically, I like the piece of wood I received! I like the color of the wood, its grain too... it has enough character... or at least, it is not devoid of it.

I have the impression that the OG is like the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones... a wooden container without frills.... magnificent in its simplicity... This Vapman click, for its part, reminded me of a chess piece... refined, with simple curves. the whole being classy.
I don't know where these images come from... but they are certified "without THC".

it's a bit trivial, but I also like the fact that "Inhale", and especially "Vapman" is engraved on the springs... thanks for that!

as for the practical improvements...

As I suspected, I like the removable screen without screws... even if as a result it is less well fixed... and that will bother me at times.

It will be easier to clean, which is necessarily positive!
Too bad it adds metal in the way, but you can't have everything!

I didn't really like the POM mouthpiece... but this one suits me.

I like the adjustable airflow, although I haven't yet found a setting that doesn't whistle.

I like the larger bowl, although ultimately, I feel like the OG bowl suited me!

I had a spoon made "especially for the Vapman" in walnut and blackwood by aezhen recently.... it was a little big for the Vapman OG bowl... it's perfect for the new bowl!

And now... the click...
well, it works well... it's a good marker to know where you are in the heating. I like to take 3-4 lattes at the click, then take one or two puffs after the click.
It allows you to be more distracted, less focused... but it's still the ritual of the Vapman.

The other point that I really like is that you can heat in one go to get a puff... it's just less noisy... it didn't bother me when I was alone. on the contrary, I really liked the ritual. but it's an advantage for use in the evening. however, this was no longer valid since the arrival of the station...!

finally, some have mentioned that they got knocked out with a bowl... I guess it's relative, but that wasn't my experience!
on the contrary, I feel like I'm higher with the Vapman OG.... but it's impossible to say for sure after 3 bowls... especially since the og is mainly used with high quality hash lately!

Writing these few lines makes me really want to play with it today... but work is calling me...
dammit... I need to find a good CBD supplier in Canada...!

have a nice day everyone!!
✌️💚

Hey guys my Pure Cherry Click arrived 2 days ago and I'd say I am very satisfied and
I'm loving the very stoney high it puts me after a couple bowl.
I have multiple Dynas that already fallen out of the rotation after I got new 3 devices in a month.
First is the QOQ then SOLO3 then CXL.
Then now my first Vapman that replaced all of them in my rotation.
The taste is fantastic and it gives me the resemblance of Dyna TiM+ and Low temp cap
But I believe Vapman hits different with it's like cerebral head high than a body high.

Funny you mention that, we happened to dream about a chess board made of vapmans, with the midsection being shaped depending on what piece they are (queen, king etc). Obviously with white and black pieces
The pawn figures are filled with normal weed; the higher the figure, the nobler & stronger the filling, which should be consumed immediately after hitting.

Depending on this, a game of Vapman chess lasts several weeks. :D:smug:

I have one inbound and can't wait.
For any other Canadians, how long did it take to get to get threw the ups back log?

Do you need to clean it with iso and do a burn off? Or just apply some wood polish and have at it?

Also @fangorn if you find a good Canadian cbd supplier please pass it along 😀 🙏

Awaiting my new walnut click, which is delayed with one day by UPS, decided to clean one of my old ones a thing I have never done.
Almost gave up, the screws and parts are so tiny.

How many vaps could a Vapman vap…
@Cacahuates
Doesn’t take long, maybe 7 business days at the max depending on how savage ups wants to be. For reference I’m on the far westcoast of BC and it took 6 business days.

No clean or burnoff necessary imo, but it’s dealers choice.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm in the gta but the delivery date became unknown as soon as it hit the Toronto sorting station.
No clean or burn it is!!!!
