Never tried the vapman with water. Would it be the same ritual as hitting it dry or is it more like the lotus where you light while taking your draw? Thanks.

I use the Vapman both ways. And both ways work great! With my "Aardvark water tool" I use it the same way that I use my Vapman dry.

But attached to my bubblers I like to heat while I draw.

Maybee it could be a attractiv idea for an upgrade... ;-)

It would be a very "limited run" upgrade. Thermovape shut their doors August of 2014. What's on E-bay is, I think, the last of the last available.:(

How about the cleaning?

Cleaning is fairly simple. The Thermovape guys really knew their shit and the Thermovape products are made to last.

About twice a month I like to run it under hot water, then soak it in Iso alcohol, followed by another run under hot water. If it ever gets really nasty I can boil it for 10 minutes to sterilize it.

@u bwade wunner Thanks mate! I'm glad the police were polite and left after they got what they wanted but I'm still dirty about it all. My wife almost has a panic attack everytime she hears a car pull up on the street now. She thinks they're coming back. I had trouble sleeping last night because I'm anxious about it and keep having dreams where we get raided.

That magnet idea is pure genius!! I'm definitely doing the same thing. The video sealed the deal for me. It looks like it holds everything in really well.

@bounce5 I like to use a 18/14 reducer. That way you can always have the middle piece inserted in the reducer, heat vapman while you're holding it and drop it in your water tool. Sometimes I like to heat while I'm inhaling.

great idea to use the thermovape mouthpiece. could you post a pic of your mouthpiece disassembled to show me where it comes apart to get at the ceramic moisturizing disc? does it unscrew or pull apart? i acquired the mouthpiece but it has no directions and i don't have a drill press or the 11/32" bit needed, would you be interested in doing the mod for me, sinking the thermovape mp to the stubby height shown in the pic of your second attempt? i spent 30 bucks on the mp and they don't take returns so i don't want to ruin it or my vapman midsection. tia

It doesn't come apart, at least mine doesn't. IIRC there are two pieces of metal (Nickle plated Aluminum) that are pressed together (with an arbor press) with the disk inside.

You add moisture in place, either a couple of drops (as in "drip tip" e-cigs) or (my favorite) run it under the faucet a few seconds and shake out the excess water. The similar product, PureFlow is a ceramic filter (blocks the flow). It too is pressed together, if the ceramic breaks in either it's scrap.

While I've never done it with VM, I've had some luck in vapes like Solo/Air with folding up a classic pipe cleaner (cotton fibers and twisted wire), adding some water to it (cotton.....) before poking it in. You need to add water every few hits (less often if you sip of course) and be sure to not leave damp cotton in the wood center section at the end of the session. While it doesn't look as cool it adds moisture at least as well as the TrueFlow, IMO better/longer. More wet surface area and more moisture in reserve.

Like the wise OF has stated simply run it under water or a few drops will do.
And sure man I'd do it for you. But please be warned it is possible it can crack, mine did. But I think I figured it out and feel comfortable doing another. Send me a PM and we'll get the shipping arranged.

When I'm thinking that everything about vapman has been said or done and the vapman thread is idling for a moment, posts like the one with the magnet or the self cooling mouthpiece of @VAPEHUNTER appear. I'm blown away by all the creativity of you guys!

The sentence of @u bwade wunner: "I took my vapman for a spin before breakfast", just made my day!
The idea is brilliant, thank you!

@Seren came back from the fairies, great to see you again on this thread. I missed you, I have to admit.:)

Now, I have some good news for all the people waiting for the vapman station: We finally and this time most definitely, found the error on the station!!!!
I have to add that we found the problem but we still don't know exactly how and why it is happening. The good news are, we know how to eliminate and avoid the error and that is most important! I think, that eventually we will also find out about the source of the problem but this is our task only and won't have any influence on the user. Anyway, the station is now in an intensive testing phase and things are looking really good.I am really looking forward to relaunch that great tool for vapman. Of course we will take back all the stations and will do an upgrade on them, some electronic components have to be soldered on to the electronic print. I may also say that we were not silly in regard of not finding out about it earlier, it was really tricky in lots of ways. I'm so much relieved, this problem really started to bug me, not only financially.

Love you all!

That's fantastic news about the station! I hope to be able to get one of these soon! Maybe in time when a black or dark green one appears… ;) :D

Welcome Rene no2!!! :p Vapman is a really special and amazing herb, concentrate and e-juice vaporizer.

About the e-juice… I have recently found out that a little cotton packed in the crucible does a much better job than the concentrate screens, it holds more e-juice and produces more vapor for longer time… ;)

I am excited about the return of the Vapman Station, congratulations @vapman! I'm sure this is a huge worry lifted from your mind.

I have been reading all the posts from back when it was released to check out everyone's reviews and reactions - seemed like an exciting time :).

My next Vapman purchase will surely now be a new Station and possibly a new Station-only Vapman! :sherlock:.

Does anyine still have their vapman station??

I still have mine and it's working fine, do get the blue light on the first heat up now and again and just let it sit for a minute or two until it turns yellow/orange or shut it off and wait 20-30 seconds and turn it back on and it works like it should.

Don't get to use it as much as I would like to since my main vape area doesn't have a working grounded three prong socket so my station is only used once a week or so right now, it is a sweet piece of kit for sure though I will pick up a Vapman Station II when available and keep the current one for it's historic value.

Still love my vapman/torch action a couple times a day, such a simple pleasure.

Very nice to hear the VM Station issue has been sorted. Better safe than sorry, so i appreciate the choice to recall stations.

Ill be honest, my VM hadn't got any use since I got my VapCap up until a few days ago. I missplaced my VC and reached for VapMan instead. I did miss it. Diffrent experience but certainly bigger clouds than the VC and i missed the vapor profile too. Pure convection done right as it drifts slowly out of temp during my pulls with little waste.

Once we were reunited, i got some of my best ever sessions. I think i had more patience than ever before, quick flame, than test. Rinse and repeat. I took my time like a fine wine, or fine woman.

Next was a handful of sessions over the next 5 days. Bubble, flower, dry sift and shatter.

Sometimes when i consider my lineup i am surprised the VM pops up still but it is fun to use, and provides the best pure conduction vapor profile on the market IMO. Cheers all. Enjoy your day.

:) Aww - you're so very lovely Rene.... as much as I love to spend time with my little winged friends.... they just don't compare to my Vapman family! :)
Such fab news about the station!!! I know how much people loved it first time around - good luck with the relaunch!

@u bwade wunner - fab video!! :D - and awesome t-shirt too! You're clearly a man of great taste - and not only in the vaporiser department! :)

i've been entertaining the thought of getting myself a glass tube with a 14 joint attached in 90°, resembling an opium pipe. what length should i go for? the intended effect is to let the pipe make the vapor less harsh on my throat by cooling it and hence allowing for bigger hits as a benefit. the overall optical appeal is also not to be discarded. i wanted to give my vapman a nice stage to perform on. :)

So after seeing @u bwade wunner's magnet mod I couldn't help but do it myself. My magnets aren't as big but they still get the job done. I wanted the egg to still be able to sit flat when on a normal surface. I also added a magnet to my tin. Just in time for a little camping road trip the family and I left for this morning.

Cool. Still thinking about it myself. A tip for next time on that 'still sit flat' part: Put the magnet on a piece of wax paper, put a drop of epoxy on top of it to bridge the gap, then put the egg down on top. Any glue that spills won't stick to the wax paper. You can keep the magnet 'just short of flush' so it can't scratch or scrape stuff by putting a piece of 'Scotch' tape on the bottom which you remove when the glue sets.

At least that's how I plan to do it......if I ever get around to it.

Fun idea, adapting limpet mine technology to hide your vape and stash.

I have a question about cleaning. I've been wondering this for a while. I noticed that The Daisy/Lily/Vapcap Woody and a few other wooden vapes have been recommended to be swabbed with high proof alcohol. I know you can't dip wood in alcohol because of it's water content which will ruin the wood, and I am aware that you can dip wood in acetone - let it dry, and it should be fine, and acetone can also be used to swab. Why haven't I seen them recommend acetone to swab the Daisy/Lily. Can the Vapman be cleaned by swabbing it with q-tip with high proof alcohol versus the acetone? Which is better?

I've been using 91% iso on the metal parts of my Vapman for 2 years and it still looks brand new.

My middle section was soaked in oils and e-juice and acetone dried it out again after a few baths. It won't leak for the moment so I know it worked. Haven't tried alcohol or ISO yet as a bath but I have swabbed the middle piece with ISO and nothing odd happened…
