I'd like to see a clear Vapman mouthpiece. Is this possible with POM plastic?
About mouthpieces… Bamboo to the rescue for me again! I tried a long one at first by connecting two bamboo pieces with some silicone tubing…
but settled to a smaller one (more comfortable handling) with an added fresh air hole in the middle of its length for more turbulence and added cooling!
Very comfortable and cool hits, less draw resistance, what more can I ask? I am content…
Can't say I am missing my Lotus much…
Hey farmer,Guys… You really need to try a stem like this, with the added fresh air hole! It really makes a huge difference in cooling and smoothing the hits! Even the highest heat draws feel like you don't inhale anything, it's really amazing. It's actually the most comfortable hits since I started vaping, even compared to Firefly or Lotus through glass! I know it sounds crazy but that's how it feels. And I don't have a smooth vaping strain either… It was actually quite harsh before that stem! And it's so easy to make! Highly recommended! Please try one.
OK. Cool.I guess it depends on the hardware store… In Greece I doubt I would ever find any… I had mine from Planetvape in three dimensions, 3ft from each, 2-3 years ago, and still have some of it. One size fits inside another and it's very easy to make different adapters.
Now I'm wondering if there is a brand that would leave no rings on a mirror.
If you meant "can you still taste the difference between vaporizing and combusting through water?" yes you definitely can. Vaporized cannabis tastes very differently from combusted cannabis. A fair amount of the "nasties" from combustion get caught up in the water or condense inside the water path but if you are familiar with what vaporized cannabis products taste like it is easy to figure out when you combust.@NorVapeWith water filtering is it still understandable from taste when combustion starts ?
I do also screen on screen experiments. With hash I think the leakage is not annoying for me but if you put the upper screen on top like the first(not upside down like a cage) the vaping becomes more even maybe because of the touch from both layers. And also not loosening the strings much.
I find some leakage from flowers irritating (stuck in filter holes, some in my mouth, throat) espesially with fine grind. So I put a screen upside down like a cage that acts like a second filter. The drawing resistance is not much less noticable but you can open the bowl before the end, blend, close with the screen again and continue some extra hits without blowing semiburnt particles. After lot of months, i noticed use a little loosening the strings.
So the vs1 has taught me better torch technique to rotate the tip of the flame around the very tip of the crucible to keep from getting hot spots. That tiny rotation is giving all areas of the crucible more even heating such as vs1 does.
OK, it is as I thought.@M0J0 Thanks, I appreciate that. It will be interesting to know the results. Perhaps they will be similar, or maybe I just had bad luck. I guess it makes sense that there would be a difference between the scientific lab grade and industrial grade. When I went to Home Depot I did see one acetone that said 100% acetone and something about being more pure - but it was only selling in gallons - too much for me. I would've posted a pic, but it's actually kind of difficult to take a good picture of fine rings on a mirror.
Hello Vapmaniacs! I just finished reading all 3780 messages in this thread. I ordered a vapman classic (and vapman lighter) on Saturday night, should arrive Wednesday or Thursday.
I look forward to getting to know my vapman and the other members here. I'm sure I'll have questions and will be excited to share about my experiences.
This is the exact reason I need a vapman station. The vs1 helped me realize what poor torch technique I've been using on the vapman.
When I try to use the torch to extract until the spent herb is a dark chocolate coffee grounds color, this inevitably ends up with a few pieces more blackened than just toasted, let's say some mini-combustion is frequently noticed.
But the vs1 has been delivering consistent results in being able to fully extract and deliver the extraction so it's pleasant to the end and no signs of combustion are visible at all. The vs1 is giving controlled and complete extractions consistently for me.
This led me to realize I've been creating hot spots using the torch to heat the crucible. Sometimes it is due simply to putting the tip of the flame off-center and other times I'll be holding the vapman's axis not in alignment with the direction of the flame so the flame-tip is hitting the bottom of the crucible at an angle and heating one side more and another less.
To get even heating, a rotational technique similar the Lotus' technique works, and definitely upped my game in getting even extraction as well as improvement in controlling the temperatures of the vapman.
So the vs1 has taught me better torch technique to rotate the tip of the flame around the very tip of the crucible to keep from getting hot spots. That tiny rotation is giving all areas of the crucible more even heating such as vs1 does.
I've gotta say, the vapman station for bubble seems to need to be left to heat up for a substantially longer time than I thought - I have not been able to get it warm enough for in less than 1.5-2 mins (4 cycles perhaps) with the station at 5.5 or 6.This is the exact reason I need a vapman station.
Why don't you give it an initial heating with the torch and then continue with the station? Just to get it up to temp…I've gotta say, the vapman station for bubble seems to need to be left to heat up for a substantially longer time than I thought - I have not been able to get it warm enough for in less than 1.5-2 mins (4 cycles perhaps) with the station at 5.5 or 6.
I am loading 2 concentrate screens in the bottom of the bowl, then a layer of bubble, then 1 screen on top, then the middle/mouthpiece.
Am I loading it wrong?
I try desperately to keep the bubble all in the screens and not on the crucible too, as I understand the bubble melting in the bowl is liable to end in me scraping which is not good for the gold plated finish.
Hash vapman users, please help an enthusiastic newbie out!
I need to find somewhere that sells magic eraser! Why don't you give it an initial heating with the torch and then continue with the station? Just to get it up to temp…
Dripping on the crucible is unavoidable but magic eraser works wonders in secs!
I find magic eraser sponges in any supermarket/grocery store next to the regular kitchen sponges if that helps…I need to find somewhere that sells magic eraser!
I will finish work for the day soon and then get a chance to really try to milk this thing (don't wanna get too medicated while I work lol)! Once I've got it down I'll upload a video. I'd like to use the station only here as this is what I bought it for, but I hope I can find a way to make it heat up more quickly with some more refining of technique
