Raf I thinkMax's point is this: with the Cloud you have a dedicated glass vape, with the Volcano you've got a dedicated bag vape; seems what you're missing is a whip-style vape, the Extreme excels as a 'jack-of-all' trades vape but you can do much better in the whip arena.
True, but I'd take it further. See below.

Because until your post I had never thought as the Cloud as a whip vape if that what's your suggesting.
I had also assumed that the EQ performs as good as any good whip vape.
Not a whip vape, but direct draw, vs. bag fill like the 'cano. My meaning was that if you have the Cloud, I don't see why you'd need or want a whip vape. The Cloud would give you bigger hits than any whip model, and the heat exchanger will make it easier to use than a whip vape, where draw speed is a factor in vaping temp. The Cloud is going to be pretty much like hitting a bong-little to no learning curve and the same temp setting can be used for person A, who takes nice slow hits, and person B, who hits like he's trying to drain the whole bowl with one hit. Along with the 'cano, you'd probably have the two best party vapes you can get. No need to train vapor newbies with either unit. I could maybe see someone wanting a whip model (vs the Cloud) for smaller hits, or because they just like loading a wand and holding the whip, but for the most part, I see a lot of whip vapes collecting dust or getting sold because the owner now has a Cloud. I can't see myself still using my SSV once I get my hands on a Cloud. For me it should be the PD for small 'sips', and the Cloud when I feel like hitting it big.
As for any version of the Extreme being up to par with a good, full sized whip vape, for vapor rich whip hits, it isn't. The E has a big airy bowl and a large diameter vapor path. The big bowl is good for keeping the herb stirred up without having to use a pokey stick, but you get more air in your hits than you do with the popular whip only models. The SSV, in particular, has a narrow outlet opening in the heater cover, providing a narrow stream of hot air for the bowl contents. So your hits have a high vapor to air ratio. The DBV, with its ground glass connection, has a larger diameter HC opening, so the hits aren't quite as rich as those from the SSV. Still better than the big bowled E though, and the DBV hits are more predictable and you don't need as much stirring of the bowl as with the SSV. The only way to approach these vapor rich hits with the E is to load the elbow screen instead of the bowl. I owned the original version of the E-the analog V-Tower (same bowl and vapor path as the E), and all the hot air I was getting in my throat turned me off and I sold it. I see no reason to get the E, or even an excellent whip vape like the SSV or DBV, if you have the Cloud. To me (and I doubt I'm alone in this opinion), the Cloud covers all the bases for a big hitting direct draw vape unless you prefer the ergonomics of a whip model. stonemonkey has owned or used pretty much all the good vapes, including several of the $500+ digital whip models like the Vaporfection. The Cloud was designed to have the best features of the best models for performance, taste, and reliability. Before you invest in a pricy whip model, I'd try the Cloud (assuming you're committed to getting one, as you should be
) and see if you think there's anything lacking that you could get with a whip model.
