To me, that's even more troubling... They have a proven product! There's a slight deja vu quality to where HANU is now and the EVO's original history.

There doesn't need to be anything esoteric in it to be hindered by the current global chip shortage--even the most basic/common "chips" are in dire shortage right now.I dunno what chips are you imagining ,different than the controller on your logvape, just that they are high voltage, like the drill/fan/rotor speed controllers. There might be some custom electronics but i am pretty sure there is nothing "smart" in it.
I'm not sure whether it points to more or less trouble, but I will say there were significant differences between then and now.To me, that's even more troubling... They have a proven product!
I may not have expressed myself properly, I meant more like there arent chips in those regulators .just mofsets/transistors ,but i am not sure about that. There doesn't need to be anything esoteric in it to be hindered by the current global chip shortage--even the most basic/common "chips" are in dire shortage right now.
Funny enough, you and I responded to one another in a thread back in 2019 and you encouraged me to get a FP as backup to my (then) broken Evo. I ended up buying a new one and just use the old one with the broken bamboo as a full temp cleaning device (xnails and basket burn-off, etc.).FP is phenomenal! But Evo vapor quality is even better (IMO)
Couldn't agree more......the Petra seems like nothing more than the EVOs better looking brother. Can't really tell right? Can still buy an EVO though.
Not long ago I received a couple emails regarding some type of business/lifestyle "coaching" from Seibo Shen that I never signed up for and immediately unsubscribed from.
Just to be clear....I love my EVO and respect Seibo for what he has accomplished but I never had the urge to get anything Hanu, wasn't interested in any coaching and without more info I don't get "why" the Petra.
"My Crown Hydratree..."My Crown Hydratree is supposed to arrive on Monday. From the description it seems like it's higher quality than the ones that have been sold recently. Mine is one of the OG models so it's thick, hefty, and relatively solid. My friend, by contrast, broke hers within a few days of receiving it and then broke the two replacements she ordered and received a couple weeks after that. Now she just uses a mouthpiece (but receives her Hydratree this Tuesday).
That, if it's normal sized and similar to my earlier model, seems like good value for $100. I never got around to ordering any of the Chinese knock-offs but now they are 2-3x the cost of what they used to be when the EVO was initially released. I checked before placing my order and they were between $60-80 dollars plus shipping time so a 5mm piece direct from EVO seemed like a no-brainer.

Maybe we're dealing with islanders. The name, Hanu, is Hawaiian anyway. I haven't interacted with the new management yet so I can't say one way or the other...but islanders tend to operate in a different state of mind that would probably infuriate others who aren't familiar with it (and even some who are).No one is bashing here just trying to uncover why there is no presence on FC and no emails are being answered even ones pertaining to unfilled orders.
Found it, Crown Evolver HydraTree, $179/99 but I didn't see any description, especially 5mm thickness.

It's right in the description. Their website is funky, I can't find it without your link.

It's not massive. It's slightly smaller in diameter but taller than the other hydratubes:Thanks, the website is definitely funky, I spent way too much time searching for it yesterday!!
Anyone have the dimensions of the Crown HydraTree, it appears massive?
Damn that Honeycomb swiss base diameter is huge! No wonder it won't fit in the petra. The new crown looks nice. This is beyond Island time lmfao. This is akin to an alternate dimension where even someone on Island time is like damn you slow lmfao! It's not massive. It's slightly smaller in diameter but taller than the other hydratubes:

I haven't used mine yet, but here is what was reported:
"Smooth as fuck with a new basket"
"Like smoother then in actually breathing"
I have 2-EVO’s that R-awesome.I purchased my EVO when someone who I greatly respect suggested the EVO. I started at the beginning and read it all. When I was about half way through all the posts I mentioned that there was no way I'd be buying the EVO with what I read because customer care is key. I was told to keep reading because things have changed and I'd be missing out on a great vape. I continued reading past the early adopter horrors and when I finished catching up on the EVO thread I immediately bought me an EVO.

Good luck with it and yes looking forward to it . I’d like to hear what you think .I had/have the same concern but I eventually took that as a reason to get one!
I don't want an "upgrade." I want a side grade that won't obviate my bent tube.
I'd love to have the piece you have there, though.
I'll let you know how it is using the straight tube on Monday.
I speculate it's part of the reason my friend reported it's smoother than her others, which were bent neck before her cat knocked them off the shelf.
