I like the dry hits on the cloud as well Vito - its like a solo on steroids! I am yet to find anything that offers the flavor of the cloud.
haha we threw a female to female, then just used a straight 18mm mouthpiece from one of my bubblers, it was exactly like a solo, a big beefy solo, plugged into the wall with .3 bowl dry punches to the face! its an awesome way to taste the medicine if you got good stuff in there!

looks like i know what my next video will be...

Dry hits work amazingly well... I just can't stand them. After 9 years of water pipe usage, my throat is too sensitive. It hurts too much for me to take dry hits. Makes my eyes water and throat burn. :( It comes from never really inhaling dry smoke. I have never conditioned myself to it. In my smoking days I would avoid pipes/bubblers/joints and such and stuck to the water pipes.

I completely agree. I mean, probably not to the extent that you did, but I love the water filtration during combustion days, hence why in my opinion, the Cloud is a stand out device in the vaporization category.

I have been enjoying a Cloud for a time now... and taking my time with it before discussing it.
I still do not care for water filtration, even though the Clouds draw is based on this resistance.
Luckily for me I got the Dry Mouthpiece that they offer for the Cloud.
I like the fast medicating I can achieve with this unit. The Baskets are great also.
I am not crazy about the warm up time required, but that is a known!
I have a video in the works that should be done by days end.
People seem to fanatically want to ask me to compare the LSV to the Cloud, but I will not be doing that here in this thread. Two vapes, two different threads.
I will just say:
*I am glad that the Cloud has that dry mouthpiece.
*I am enjoying it with that mouthpiece.
*HAPPY NEW YEAR to my Cloudy Friends...
* Keep an eye out for that Video
Definitely agree that the Cloud's draw works best with the resistance from a hydratube/water pipe.

That's why I actually get a lot better performance dry when just using my hydratube without any water.

When I use a unrestricted short glass tube mouthpiece, there just isn't enough resistance for the great vapor production. Only solution I've found is restricting the bottom glass bamboo hole with my fingers. Even then, the vapor is too hot.

I think the best would be a long, curved dry mouthpiece with a narrow part in the middle to add a little restriction.

you know, i started smoking for only like, few months when i got my card, until i bought my first MFLB and then the vape bug got me and i threw the smelly smoke crap in the trash :science:

i must say being pretty young when i started (21) i went straight to vapes, and i must say i feel very lucky to be able to grow up in this era, all this stuff wasn't available to the ones before me, and to that im truly thankful for all these amazing devices to help save my health. Im sure my lungs will thank me later in life

also the super free flow style airpath, really helps, i remember the vaporbonging days with the old solo stems, sucking milkshake! after weeks you can tell that it starts to hurt your chest.

Hi guys, Im fairly new to this forum, I got some money to burn and was thinking about the cloud or the volcano. I hear great things about both. My main concern is reliability, I don't like having to deal with the warranty process. I have read some things that would make me think that this unit is not that reliable. Are they getting better? any input would be very helpful. Thanks and happy new year FC

I for one along with most here would be concerned right along with you in regards to the possibility of a cloud failing. Actually I worry about any vape I own failing, especially ones that are as expensive as the cloud. But, with that being said - owning a cloud far out weighs the potential for failure. In my opinion, the level of enjoyment and medication that I get from sessions with the cloud (in comparison with any vape on the market)that waiting for a replacement for a possible malfunctioning unit would be well worth it. In fact replacing the cloud yearly would be well worth it!

Btw - I had a volcano - the two cant even be compared. No disrespect to the cano but its like comparing a Ferrari to a dusenberg.

I'm not sure I could justify a yearly $500+ vaporizer purchase. I'm hoping/praying that when I get my fixed Cloud it will last for a very long time. I would be quite upset if my Cloud failed in a year.

If the major concern is reliability, then the cloud is not the most reliable, it is temperamental...just like a Ferrari...but the performance is also like a Ferrari, and it is the best hitting vape I've tried. I broke mine on the first day I received it and I am waiting for my replacement (which I had to pay for at a discounted cost). I have both the cloud and the volcano. The volcano is bulletproof...you won't have a problem with it in my experience...and I've taken it camping, to music festivals, road trips...it always works and is easy to get consistent hits for all...great for groups (noobs and vets alike).

If you are someone that appreciates thick, fat, dense, flavorful rips...the volcano doesn't do that...enter the cloud. The cloud is best in class in terms of performance, but has some design issues that do not make it a viable option for everyone. If you get the cloud...have a backup like the Solo or something. I will say that the cloud got me much higher and tasted much better as compared to the volcano with the same herb.

If you don't mind being an early adopter and working through the quirks of a new company/product responding to market feedback, then I would get the cloud. But if reliability is your MAIN concern and the volcano is your preferred alternative, then I would go for that since it's a bulletproof vape that provides consistent results. Another alternative is the LSV, which also has great potential and allows you to use your glass...I have one on order but haven't received it yet.

Good luck and happy new year!

Dry hitting in a giant tube is pretty enjoyable too. You can use the entire volume to fill with vapor. I typically drag in all i can in my first hit without pulling the Cloud, then exhale while i put my hand over the mouth to hold in the vapor. I love then pulling the thick vapor with no resistance whatsoever.

I also really enjoy my HiSi triple chamber with only the two top percs with a littls water, and then using the volume of the beast to fill with vapor. All that said, a HT with a little water provides my favorite all around experince. But variety is the spice of life.

The mouthpiece they sell at Kulture VA pretty much fits the bill. The hole on the part that you put your mouth on is pretty small. This leads to some restriction but I feel that it works well with the Cloud since, with this dry mouthpiece, it has always produced hits as thick as when using a water tool. And flavor with a dry mouthpiece is even better!

Also, here's a little morning sesh with the Cloud in natural light. Be sure to watch in high quality, and enjoy!

P.S. Hope everyone had fun this new years!

I am getting scared. Another 25$ base price increase on all glass (including vape packages). So every week 25$ up or so? That can't be. I hope it really stops. I think I'm not saving fast enough anymore, the skyrocketing of these prices got faster. 600$ for a standard 2.0 package now. What will be tomorrow? :uhoh:

Make sure to set it to 720p on 60FPS this video wasnt, but vegas helped it out a bit.
the new lenses are amazing compaired to the old ones.

higher the frames per second= smoother and clearer fast action will be(stackage)
