A few updates/responses from the VapeXhale Team...
1. Regarding Thermal shock - In the two years we have tested the Cloud, we haven't had an incident like Mr.SNM happen. With that said, just because it didn't happen to us, that doesn't mean it won't happen to anyone in the future. We are communicating with him directly and will work out something mutually agreeable.
We designed the Hydratubes to sit vertically on the Cloud to reduce any stress on the joint. We also explicitly state that the Cloud should always be used with your hand supporting the weight of the Cloud, especially with the standard 45 degree joints in waterpipes. Given the temperatures that the we are operating at, there shouldn't be any issues with thermal shock under normal operations. Again, we are working with Mr. SNM to deduce what happened and help him out with replacements.
2. Regarding warranties/faulty units/returns/exchanges - as previously stated, we are re-examining the manufacturing process. The good news is that units hand built by PowerNerd do not exhibit the same issues but the obvious downside is that we only have one PowerNerd. We have identified a few steps in the assembly that can be improved on and will be testing in the upcoming week to see how it improves consistency.
Those that are waiting for their replacement units, please be patient with us as we want to take a few extra measures before sending out your replacement unit. One thing I would like to address is the growing feeling that the forum members are acting as VXC guinea pigs I will be the first admit that if I were an outsider reading the reviews, I would share similar feelings. The truth is, PowerNerd had been micromanaging the assembly plant with our earliest units and gradually removing the training wheels so that more units could be produced more quickly. As that happened, we noticed more inconsistencies with our units. This is something we are working together to solve and we will be slow rolling until we feel comfortable that the root problem has been identified.
Sorry for the long winded post, hope this addresses most of the issues that were being discussed over the weekend.
