Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

As Above ∞ So Below
YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T BUY THIS CHEESY SHITTY PRODUCT!!!!
It's a very fine vaporizer WHEN it works.
When it doesn't anymore they practically tell you to GO FUCK YOURSELF (Warranty or not) for them having there own problems. They want a lot of money from you and when you have a problem you get a standard email telling you they can't do SHIT (right now [yeah right let me guess you can soon but then my warranty won't be worse shit, right?]).
WHAT KINDA FUCKING BUSINESS PRACTICE IS THIS?!?!?!?!
But well turns out again that there's just a bunch of stoners behind this product (if you want to avoid that BUY A VOLCANO for God sake thats a real company that can keep their warranty promisses and doesn't cry about the bad, bad manufactureres who tried to rip them off, yeah right). You can take your shitty Cloud and your Evo and your future pieces of American cheesy shit and shove it up your asses.
Again if you think about buying from these guys:
JUST DON'T
they want a lot of money from you and they don't have their shit together.

Sincerelly
Someone who had to learn the hard way

Tell us how you really feel... Pretty sure they will take care of you when they get the current situation sorted out and get past the initial orders for Fanboy, Fanatic and EarlyBirds of the EVO indegogo campaign.

Search for @stonemonkey55 comments using the Search function and you will be able to see the progress.

If you look at the whole picture, they actually chose the most noble way to handle the situation. Unfortunately in business, nobility is not always rewarded. Sometimes it is not even acknowledged by those that it benefits.

It must be remembered that they had the option of walking away and starting up under a new name. That would have been easier in many ways, not the least of which would be that no claims (warranty or otherwise) from their previous company would be a financial drag on the new company.

Instead, they chose not to walk away from their old customers. It will take time, but they are saying they will make good on their old promises. But they cannot do that until the new company has a revenue stream in place.

As someone who has dealt with far too many business owners who walked away when the going got rough (at the expense of others), I applaud VapExhale for not taking the easy road. I have lost some dollars in bankruptcy settlements over the years because I trusted people to make good on their word, so it hits close to home for me.

So when you ask 'what kind of business practice is this?' I say it is a pretty damn good one, and one of the main reasons I sent them $500 to help get production going again back in July, before I had ever touched one of their products.

Downward spiral
Although the Evo has a zero failure rate so far, the limited amount released kinda takes away from that number, right now. I have no reason not to believe it won't continue on like that.

But I also remember when many people were having problems, lots of people on the boards kept saying that FC was a small percentage of sales and a 2% failure rate was acceptable, we were told nothing to see here, move on, and we all know how that worked out. I am thrilled that VXH have a low failure rate this time around and only wish it stays that way. But when I hear zero % failure rates being thrown out ALREADY, cmon man, really?

I have supported VXH from the 1st Cloud and have a pre-order in for the Evo. I wish them nothing but huge success, but wish to remain realistic this early. Yes zero failures is good, but so was 2% according to many last time.

It's probably way too late, but I figure I might as well ask: is there any way to still get on to the trade in deal for the EVO?

Deadhead101: Find a trade-in contributor who hasn't yet confirmed shipping address (all of them, but not for long) and make a deal with that person.

Yes, its too early. AFAIK OG Cloud were mostly dying young. The older Cloud was, the more likely it will last even longer. But also I don't know of many that died REALLY early, like in days. So zero failures now means very little, but its something. Also there was sure a lot of testing before the release and if there were any failures...

Holy shi-, a triple negative! :D

What trade in deal?

I'm hoping for one under warranty because my cloud plus stopped working.

Are they trading EVOs for defective cloud plus??

No, Trade-In is actually much better for you if you have a working Cloud. Then you pay 250$ and get an EVO and keep a Cloud.
With dead Clouds, you send it in and pay only 200. That is worse imo.
And as said above, its a deal from the past, you can't do Trade-In anymore unless you make a deal and switch with someone who did.

Well this is a neverending money pit.

I paid the $500 for the first cloud, it breaks, they tell me $150 more for the plus and an extended warranty, it breaks, now it's $200 for the one with the bugs worked out?!

What's going on here?
This $500 vape is going to be around $800 when all is said and done, huh?

Yes, a Trade-In isn't that much appealing deal when your Cloud is broken. You don't have to make it. Also its quite late now for that.
Wait for the 2014 when they are back in business and can repair your unit under warranty for free. But of course you don't get an EVo that way, only the original.

I filed a support ticket two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything from them.

Is this typical?

I'll pay they extra, again, if I can/have to.
I don't want another problematic cloud.

Really hope the Evo is the answer.

They are flooded with quetion like "When my EVO is shipping" and stuff. I think its normal to expect their support overloaded now.
Be patient, the response will just say wait for the 2104 anyway. If you don't hear back from them by the end of the year, you can send another ticket.

With all the little info we have so far... ...hopefuly yes!

They aren't confirming addresses anymore. If your address changes you have to reroute it through fedex.
Good to know, I must have missed this. So this means I'll know when I get in the front of the line when my package is already on its way? I don't know if this is good or bad lol.

I think I know the numbers better than you, as far as how many total units have been shipped. It has nothing to do with just FC buyers/stats. Your statistics lesson is a waste of time. You really think I'm dumb enough to compare 2 weeks of shipping with all the Clouds that were shipped? I said "so far", and anyone paying attention knows how long they've been shipping.

To use your own words- "cmon man, really?"

Fine with me but I don't think the software allows it. Just send me money instead. :brow:

Actually nominal outlet voltage in the US is 120 volts at 60 hertz. It typically drops some under load.

I had to go look this up and see both 120v and 110v referenced for the USA. 120v is the nominal voltage but there will probably be a drop with the load. Some devices seem to expect 110v. I can't get a consensus but it really should not matter much.

I have a second cloud plus the first lasted several days and the replacement is still going strongly after several months. I gather my experience of a working cloud is uncommon.
I do very much like the cloud but the company really alarms me. Unfulfilled warranties, poor customer service and amazing promissory deals and more and more money!
I know the folk here at fc are very robustly pro cloud but the concerns voiced here should be answered by a company rep (not by max) without being asked to move on!

The questions and concerns have been addressed by a company rep in the past, and these concerns/questions are repeats, from users who haven't, or didn't do a good enough job of reading the thread. Currently, the company reps are busy building EVOs, to help remedy this situation. I'll gladly take @max doing his job over someone from VXL having to come and say it again, and again, instead of doing their job and building more units. And no, your experience of a working Cloud is not uncommon; the FC community is a small chunk of Cloud users out there...and those with issues, are the squeaky wheels in this thread...those with good working units, are the minority of the posts that stand out here...IMO
