Anyone know what temp the bond would have to withstand? That's not going to work... That stuff is resistant only up to 180°F ~ 82°C according to its technical data sheet. Even the lowest setting will heat the weld area way hotter than that.
Sigh.. Now I'm back to wanting the Mobius Ion Matrix combo. Damnit.
Anyone have one of these and a hydratube and prefer one over the other?

Are you afraid??!?! LMAO
Hey guys! I am about to buy an older ticker model that is USED and I had a question about repairs.
If the VXC breaks on me in the future, will I be able to send it in for repairs? I am concerned that if I get it and something goes wrong I'll be outta luck. I know the warranty won't be valid, but is it possible to repair it for a fee?
Thanks!
Has anyone seen the liquid chilled tubes from GBD? Anyone got any thought as to how they'd match with the Cloud?
Would it need to be conductive? I found some conductive adhesives that are good up to 500F. I'm not at the house but if anyone cares I'll post it up later.Worth a try?
"It is able to withstand continuous heat exposure of 450ºF and intermittent heat exposure to 500ºF"
It looks like @Deadshort480 just posted a bent neck version of that over in the GBD thread that hes gonna use with his EVOAnyone have any experience using this with the cloud ? http://glassblowersdirect.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/vape-tube-w-showerhead-perc.png
Looks like an OG or Cloud+, but yeah, anything Cloud related gets me so excited these days. We're all so close!!!
Probably more than 550. Would need silver solder. When I retire March 7 I am going to work on learning how to repair these beasts. I am trying an experiment in fact in the next few weeks.Anyone know what temp the bond would have to withstand?
Sorry, that's not an EVO. You can tell by the finish and machining. The EVO's are made . . . oops, gotta be careful or Monkey spank.

Hmm now this has got me thinking. Does it sound like a good idea to you to purchase a ticker used? It's a good deal but I would really like to hear what a person with experience of VXH products has to say.
I was going to just buy an evo until I had this opportunity and the fact that it would save me a few hundred is very appealing.
In the long run, that few hundy savings won't pay off. The old Tickers had contract MFG issues, buying used old tech is all about AS-IS. When the ticker dies (all electronics die) it will be like trying to get a 1935 ford repaired.
Well, no it won't because the fact is that it isn't too hard to get your 1935 Ford repaired. You can still get parts.
Try getting it officially repaired by Ford though. Much less likely, getting parts from somewhere else that will still work, also less likely. Will it work? Possibly. Can you get it to work? Possibly. Can you GUARANTEE you will get it to work? No.Well, no it won't because the fact is that it isn't too hard to get your 1935 Ford repaired. You can still get parts.
