AVB could fall in the holes..... I would often see AVB on the top of my cloud+ when it was working. Granted I have no idea how it gets there.

I appreciate the help but the issue isn't between the actual glass bushing at all, it's the internal diameter of the tube that bushing is connected to that affects it's compatibility.
Because the second cap pokes up about half a centimeter, it can get stuck or jammed as it goes past the ground glass connection and into the actual downstem area. I have a bong by LUX that I simply cannot do the double cap trick with since it can't make a proper seal with half a centimeters worth of gap, and if I push it to far it will get stuck. Some of my adapters also do not fit, nor does my mouthpiece.
In all the pics I haven't been able to detect a seam. In that earlier video SM posted of the prototype being made, IIRC half the shell was being machined, meaning that there would be a seam like the Cloud has. Anyone know for sure whether the EVO shell is a single piece (which suggests injection molding or similar)? That would be cleaner.
I'm just curious.
AVB is like termites. It can get anywhere. I have AVB on my Da Vinci that is in-between the LCD display and the LCD display cover... I have my suspicions on how it got there, but I have on way of getting it out . . .

A seamless piece like that could also be MFG with 3D printing, although I doubt that is happening (too expensive) in another 10 years it could be the norm. Assuming any of us are around in 10 years.

Exactly, I have no idea how AVB gets into these places, but it does, those vents at the top are just asking for it when compared to my cloud+ which definitely accumulates sprinkles of AVB on the top somehow . . .
No, I would remove the bowl but I didnt stir often anyways.Do you by chance stir with the ELB in the Cloud? That'll do it for sure.
Anyway, I'm not particularly concerned about the vents. There are not-difficult ways to mitigate any ABV from reaching the unit's internals and making it easy to keep clear of debris.
. . . I also noticed AVB dots in the bamboo GonG that could not be avoided, due to the negative pressure of the Hydratube being placed onto the GonG connection . . .
. . . Guess I'll just have to slum along using my Evolver HydroCirc & my Mobius Ion Matrix with the EVO . . .
Thanks, Shrike! You raised the campaign total to: $101,861!
So glad I was able to contribute something! Not any where near as much as I wanted to. But, money is tight right now and I tried everything I could think of to raise some extra cash, but alas, to no avail.
Good news is...I get a brand new Cloud EVO when they come out! Guess I'll just have to slum along using my Evolver HydroCirc & my Mobius Ion Matrix with the EVO...
My "ticker" is still running perfect since last July and it's going to be weird to eventually call it my "Back-up' vape.
EDIT::Right behind you Joe...!
Might that have been resin? There has been a lot of discussion about cleaning the resin ring that builds up inside the lip at the bottom of the joint, I've seen little resin ticks along that lip, too.
The air vents will have a fine mesh material covering it so you shouldn't worry about any material falling through the vents
