Ohhh this has put me on the edge. I am really considering the 1K with the really special tube. I am thinking it over this weekend while I look at my checking account and upcoming expenses.
So, Sorry for the ignorance, but how does the $250 perk work? From what I can gather in the title, for $250, you can trade your Cloud in for first dibs on a Nimbus...but further down, it says that you get to keep your existing Cloud!
So, $250 gets me a nimbus, and my Cloud? or do we have to trade in our Cloud?
Good Post!
We will require you to send in your cloud (via Provided shipping ship on VapeXhale's Dime) when we receive your cloud and verify that your an eligible upgrade we send back both he Nimbus and the Cloud! We will set this up to reduce the turnaround time to the maximum for the customer!

Second question, kind of...for anyone else using this perk, it's safe to assume that you have to jump on this within the next 15 days, correct? If so, do you have to send in your cloud right away when you purchase the $250 perk, or will you be able to wait until the Nimbus is ready to go, before sending in your existing Cloud?
Thanks for the initial response, and any more light you can shed on this!
Follow up related question: I have a non-working warranted Cloud+ so can I go the $250 perk, send in my Cloud+ get it repaired and sent back along with a new Nimbus?
Good addendum! I wonder what exactly makes a persons Cloud eligible or ineligible...and what they would do in the case of a broken Cloud being sent to them, or....what if someone sent in their working Cloud, and it broke in transit?We will require you to send in your cloud (via Provided shipping ship on VapeXhale's Dime) when we receive your cloud and verify that your an eligible upgrade we send back both he Nimbus and the Cloud! Edit: Post 666, coincidence?
...I'm coming up on its warranty lapsing. I'm planning on purchasing the upgrade/extension, for $150, but waiting to send in my Cloud until sometime in the future. How should I go about this? Can I pay my $150 upgrade/warranty extension, and the $250 for the nimbus, all at the same time, and then wait until the Nimbus is available to send in my Cloud? . . .
I also purchased the upgrade and was planning to send my old cloud in for the upgrade close to the end of the extended 2 year warranty. I am not sure what this means anymore exactly but I am not worried.I'm in a similar situation, except that I already purchased the Plus upgrade but didn't send it in yet. My guess - and this is just a guess - is that the Plus upgrade is discontinued. It probably doesn't make sense to retrofit the Cloud with Nimbus components, assuming that would even be feasible technically (which there is a very good chance that it is not). If so, then the upgrade path for the Cloud is to the Nimbus. The more challenging question might be how Cloud Plus warranty service will be handled. I'm not particularly concerned though, VXL has demonstrated its commitment to customers and I feel confident these details will be satisfactorily worked out.
Just a suggestion, but modify the the trade in option so that people do not have to go without a Cloud:
1) List the criteria for what an eligible trade in is, e.g., own existing Cloud, it works, you are the original owner with receipt/proof of purchase, it was within proper warranty period, etc;
2) Have the Cloud owner sign an agreement that verifies he or she have an eligible Cloud. Further, the agreement explains that if he or she send back a non-eligible Cloud, he or she will be charged the full value of the Nimbus (subject to customer returning the new Nimbus unused, if the customer elects), and VapeXhale will send his or her non-eligible Cloud back to them;
3) Place a hold on the customer's credit card or debit card for the retail value of a new nimbus, and the amount of the upgrade promotion;
4) VapeXhale sends a new Nimbus to the customer;
5) Upon receipt of the Nimbus, customer sends in his eligible Cloud;
6) Upon receipt of the eligible Cloud, VapeXhale will remove the hold on the customer's credit card for the retail value of the Nimbus, process the amount of the upgrade as payment to VapeXhale, and then VapeXhale will return the customer's eligible Cloud to the customer; and
7) Customer gets an upgrade without having to go without his or her Cloud!
This may help people, especially international customers, find the trade in option more palatable. It is also a good way to encourage customers to upgrade to Nimbus, and get Clouds out of the market--so that warranty issues with them slowly disappear.
Additionally, if people have purchased a Cloud Plus upgrade or extended warranty, you can offer to rebate the amount paid for that off the price of the trade in option. I.e., if customer paid $150 for an extended warranty and the promotion for a trade-in is $250, then customer effectively pays $100 for a new Nimbus but forfeits the extended warranty on his or her original cloud. End result: Customer has a Nimbus and Cloud with original warranties for $100; it's a good deal. VapeXhale gets $100 and does not have to cover an extended warranty for either unit.
Additionally, give the customer the option to elect to apply Cloud plus upgrade/extended warranty funds to purchase an extended Nimbus warranty. I.e., The customer effectively gets a Nimbus for $250 with an extended warranty. And his or her original Cloud returns to the original warranty period. End result: Customer gets an extended warrantied Nimbus, and an original warrantied Cloud for $250.; It's a good deal. VapeXhale gets $250 and only has to service an extended warranty on the Nimbus, which it would prefer to do--over the older Cloud--no doubt.
This will encourage cleaning up warranty issues, encouraging people to a Nimbus, and be seen as customer friendly way to do it.
Just got the $250 option. No way I can say no to a Nimbus for $250!
Guys thank you for that offer. My ticker is 100% fine so it is a "waste" for me, but I need to try this new version out as well
EDIT: Not letting me pay with my credit card through paypal. VXH can we work out a way to do this payment direct through paypal? I'd love to get the $250 upgrade offer if it is true I keep my ticker AND the nimbus.
I can send the $250 right now through paypal, it just won't let me use my PAYPAL credit card on indiegogo for some reason. Please let me support you
And also for the love of the good laaaaawd, I wish indiegogo would fix the # of buyers for perk levels. As someone said earlier, it sketches people out when they don't see many participants for the perks.
I like the way this guy thinks. We'll outline a process similar to this, just give us sometime to think through the logistics but at a high level, I like where Brewer is going here. Will outline everything sometime this weekend when I have some time to come up for air.
We contacted Indiegogo, try a different browser but that functionality should be available. We are trying to drive all contributions through Indiegogo instead of you guys paying us directly because it puts more confidence in the other donors that people are contributing to us. Thanks again!

Sitting here with an un-warrantied Vapexhale Cloud...that is still eligible for the $250 trade-in, for a brand new Nimbus...it's going to be almost impossible NOT to contribute!
