Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I've had my Cloud Plus for about a week now and I'm definitely glad I got the upgrade. Mine heats up in just 4-5 minutes now, with no need to let it sit longer than that. JCruiser - your Cloud Plus experience doesn't sound like mine at all, you should really send that in for a replacement!

12-1:30 gives me really thick milky vapor and dark chocolate brown abv, so it runs slightly hotter than even my old clicker. I also decided to test out the "7-3 PM for Flowers and then 3-5 PM for concentrates" thing and it seems to be true! At 3:00, using the two cap method I was able to get thick white vapor from just some kief. The thing also stays very cool in my hand and only gets hot to the touch when I switch it off and back on when it 's already been on for a while.

All in all, I feel that with the Cloud Plus there's nothing left for anyone to complain about, save for the fact that you still can't throw it on the ground and expect it to be fine.

"Speculations" of the announcement have gone from warranty related care, to modifications to the existing cloud(that you have to pay for LOL), to a completely new product. Where/how did people make this jump? I spoke to a customer service rep two weeks ago, asking him if i should wait until the 18th(lol again) for the announcement before biting the bullet. He told me no, it would make no difference, and the supposed "cloud plus" is an addition you have to get separate.

I have since then taken what feels to me like a slight risk on this vape which i justified by buying it from vapornation for an effective price of 360 dollars(450 base-50 fc coupon+free grinder, cleaning solution, scale, aromatherapy blend+40 in store credit+free shipping). I do hope i was not given false information, and I'm looking forward to seeing this announcement.

Sorry to hear about your experience, obviously the information you received was incorrect. If you waited until the 16th you would have had an extra year of warranty for free. I'd be calling up customer service about this if I were you.

I would agree to this, my plus is running perfectly. It gets giant clouds at 3pm, no complaints at all, golden brown abv every time. The only thing I have to  about is the 6 elbs that fit the old cloud perfectly, but fall right out of this one.

This may or may not relate to people's impression of the cloud, but let me relay an experience I had recently: I used some blah (sub) mids in the cloud for the first time! It was not a pleasant experience, 2-3 weak shitty-tasting hits, and you're done with a 75% loaded elb. My friend that brought the cheap herb over thought the cloud was a big joke. Until I loaded him a elb half GSC, half 3 kings. Got about 7 huge great tasting rips, and understood.

Moral of the story: You like bad weed, a cloud you do not need.

But inquiring minds still want to know: What about those VXL silicone bands? And are they redundant with the new "cooler to the touch" enhancement?
Not needed at all, even after several hrs at max temp. Even with my dainty digits. Have to return to rocking those sweet bracelets on your wrists.

After 3 months of use, my Cloud is in for repair and I can't decide if I should get the upgrade of not.

Any more comments from people who have the Cloud Plus?

So is the cloud unreliable? It's almost like everyone in this thread is using a completely different product. (mine works great vs I'm on my 5th one and it still sucks)

Well, I for one can say what an amazing product this thing is. This is my first bowl with the Cloud and I feel more medicated (and off of flowers, at that!!!) than I have in a while. Very easy setup, no huge learning curve. About to crank it past Noon and see if that makes it milk more.

Yeah, i definitely will. I actually posted some questions in this thread directed to SM55, hopefully he answers them, and one is actually regarding registering my cloud for its warranty. I have yet to even open the box containing my cloud and the info i need to register it, as i had it shipped to my brothers house. I'll be going there this weekend and address the issue on monday. Even without mentioning that i was told not to wait, my warranty would technically be starting after the 16th, so I'm not too worried.

Giant Clouds at 3pm, but only golden brown ABV? Have you tried Max temp? Just curious how dark the ABV is from the Cloud Plus at Max temp.

I had alot of issues with 10 different elbs, they seemed to fit too loose, and the caps wouldn't stay in unless I bent them alot.

There's a failure rate of less than 2%, as SM55 said. Its by no means unreliable, but if you're like me and cant afford to replace it, its cause for something to worry about.

According to the manufacturer, the defect rate is 2% or less (now it's less than 2%)...but if you look at this thread as reality, it's MUCH higher. Reliable or not, the warranty is now 2 years, it's up to you if you want to deal with the service and turnaround time. I'm starting to think it's like buying an LED TV, it can be a "panel lottery"...same tv, same model, but different picture quality....this issue occured in newer macbook pro retinas as well, they were using two different screens in the same models.

Only time will tell, as more and more buy the Cloud Plus', you can be sure that they will be reporting both what they like, and don't like. IMO, you will be reading more posts about Clouds "not running hot enough". But what's hot to one person, will not be hot to another. VX can do whatever they like with the temp profile anytime they choose, just like any other minor upgrade tweaks.

stonemonkey55 already answered that. They have a 2% failure rate. Would you call that unreliable? I certainly wouldn't.

Periodically we have to remind people that you are seeing a heavily skewed sample of the Cloud ownership. Any forum presents a distorted view of any product because people with problems are far more likely to seek out a forum and post about their troubles.

well now I am a bit nervous about getting my Plus in (hopefully this week).

I will know right away if it's getting as hot as before. I don't really care if it's cooler at 12, I just care that I am still able to get dark brown (almost black) ABV on MAX or a bit under. If not I will be most unhappy.

I looked at the abv jar, and I think nut brown is a much more accurate description, I'll try a max temp flower only bowl and let you know, but it is fully extracting at 3 vaped to the point that I'm finished is probably more accurate.
They realize that the new joint is wider, and the new elbs do fit just fine.

[edit] On max temp I had no trouble ripping a half full elb until it was dark brown/blackened (the last 3 or so hits tasted like burnt ass however).

thanks for all the replies regarding the Q vs Cloud, you guys rule.

this might belong in the Q thread, but its relevant again here i think...

what temperature does you guys find the Q has to be turned up to in order to even start to come close to Cloud vapor levels ?

Actually, your warranty starts on the day you purchased it, not the day you received it. At least that's what happened in my case.

It's not that I don't trust stonemonkey, I would just like to know where the 2% is coming from. There's also a reporting bias because vapexhale is only aware of the defective units that are sent back. Unless the 2% was calculated by testing a batch of clouds (in which case it's statistically unreliable).

It would be one thing if people were coming on here complaining of one unit failure but it seems to me like people are getting multiple unit failures in a row. Even with the warranty it's a great disservice to the customer for them to have to ship back a defective unit only to receive another defective unit that they have to ship back again.

I'm with ibrahim hosrom on this, if Im going to spend upwards of $500 on a product I'm going to want it last me a decently long time (with proper maintenance) and it doesn't look like the cloud can deliver on that. Also there's the heating issues and the only thing more annoying than a failed unit would be a crippled one.

It also looks like vapexhale has some serious issues with customer service. If the stories of people in this thread can be trusted it seems like the average CSR at vapexhale as little to no idea what they're talking about. I could be wrong and I'd love to hear what more cloud owners have to say and I'm working my way through this thread. I'm between this and an SSV right now and in the customer service and reliability aspect it looks to me like 7th floor has a huge advantage.

I have two of the original 'ticking' Clouds (bought two so I can have a backup), I've never had a problem with either of them but am interested in the Cloud Plus upgrade only for the faster heat up times, maybe I'll just get one upgraded and do the warranty upgrade for the other one (don't fix what isn't broken...) it certainly would be good to hear from people that have done the upgrade

in general, i think that more people post online when prompted by a poor experience versus people who are NOT posting online because their experience is good/normal. ya know what i mean? ie: a number of posts from people who aren't have good experiences vs people who are not posting because everything is fine + dandy

Cellar, I agree with your post X1000. EDIT: Text Retracted.

I DO wonder about the "source" of power though, because it's true....multiple dying units from the same person. If this is even a factor, then I don't even know what to say because no other vapes have this issue.
