What would be the lowest drag piece?

I have the evolver 2.0. I was going to ask my wife for a TV Cera for my birthday (end of feb) but things are not looking promising for that possibility right now. So I might ask her for a hydratube instead

Anybody have any suggestions? Kinda digging the soulshine hydraline...

If you have the evolver 2.0, you could get a VXC 2.0 piece and then have the option of stacking them!

Not that I know from personal experience, but I would assume it would be the shower cap because it uses the least amount of water.

The HydraCap is pretty low drag. I would say out of all of them it will have the least drag. Also the least filtration. The HydraLine has more filtration and not too much drag. The pieces like the swagger double have more drag since they have multiple chambers.

So my cloud is a real beast. It was 9 degrees this morning. I head out to my shed wondering if my ht will be frozen. The cloud is ticking and green and ht not frozen! Weed grinds to dust when it's this cold. I go for a toke and bam cloud city. Even though it's intaking 9 degree air it's still able to get it done.

well last night my cloud wouldn't turn on. just get the sleep colored lights right away with flashing green and red.

I even tried again this morning hoping it was a fluke... nope its dead. Sucks because it's only been one month. Sucks more that I broke my herbalaire immediately afterwards because of some overly snug glass adapter....

Just a thought, but is your unit in a cold environment? I've noticed that my Cloud will not turn on (goes straight into Xmas mode) if it is exceptionally cold (~<40° F) but as soon as it warms up a little in a warm place, it fires right up.

Just a thought, but is your unit in a cold environment? I've noticed that my Cloud will not turn on (goes straight into Xmas mode) if it is exceptionally cold (~<40° F) but as soon as it warms up a little in a warm place, it fires right up.

thanks for the idea Stu. Unfortunately my garage is climate controlled and kept around 68 degrees. I tried 3-4 times last night and once this morning so far. The heating light always comes on for about 1-2 minutes then I get the green,green,red,red,red pattern. The metal never gets warm to the touch. I have tried with the dial from low to high and it makes no difference.

I'm pretty sure that most of the issues have been and still are concentrated very disproportionatly in this forum.

Obvious reason...running the damn things all fucking night and day..

My cloud has worked great (purchased around August 2012) and I run it 6 to 10 hours a day with an X10 switch toggling the cloud on/off every 40 minutes. It has never failed. The cloud is a relatively simple design without complicated electronics so I wonder why the darn thing just does not turn on for some people. Are there certain components breaking more often than not? Are new gremlins being found with the newer designs? Is Vapexhale fixing one thing and inadvertently causing other hidden problems? I worry about my Cloud breaking only because I love it so much.

Well I remember sometime earlier last year they had a few issues that were contributed to their failure from assembly. They did not come out and say what the issue was, but I'm sure these units have some tight tolerances. Case in point, I've seen internal fuel pump assemblies requiring the most serious tolerances go side ways after the 10th piece comes out of the cnc machine... Meaning, tolerances have to be constantly checked and reset when they get off track.

I'm sure these units have pieces that come out of china and that is where quality control can get out of hand if you aren't physically standing there overseeing it.

I've seen my share of failures during my wait period. I've had mine for about 6 months damn near and its been great. Granted, we only use at night when the kids go down. If I were to guess what I felt the issue was, its gotta be the amount of hours people use the unit at the ready. Being hot 6-8 hrs a day is a lot to ask to be honest.

My wife and I will blow through two bowls within 30 mins after the unit has been on for 40 mins. I then allow it to go in stand by. I'll reset it and hit another bowl before turning it off completely until the next evening. So, my relation to the failure rate may be attributed to the daily usage rule... Plasma tv's have a daily usage rating up to 6 hours a day before they need a rest period. I think the cloud may fit into this category as well.

I've recommended about 13 units so far to friends and they are now cloud owners. None of their units have failed but they aren't using them all day long. I think its a great product, but like any first generation product, improvements are needed. Take my extreme q 4.0 for instance.. It's an absolute weak hitter and was a waste of money... And it's 4th gen to boot.

Venemous, I respectfully disagree with your conclusion that hours used = more likely to fail.

All of the posts on this thread that I've read about failing units were about fairly new units and none that I can think of had been Clouds that had been on continuously for extended periods of time.

On the contrary, those of us that use WeMos to keep our units running for hours on end have not had any failures that I am aware of.

As to the EQ, there never was a 4.0 model that I'm aware of, but rather that moniker was given by online retailers to market the fact that they had the "newest" version.
