Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

That just happened...
My hydraline has a very easy draw. Very little restriction. Hopefully you get it sorted smoothly.

My wife and I decided to goto Vegas for thanksgiving. I was to chicken to bring anything with me. I miss my cloud... Hehe

Yea, thanks. It's funny, the only reason I made the trade was because I knew the draw would be super easy, as all inlines seem to be. I am certain that these are not built so you have to suck so hard and get nothing! Even just trying to suck in air, while not on the Cloud is difficult! It's really cool looking, though!

I mean, I guess I could ask SM if he would look at it and if it's defective, send me another. I know they certainly don't have to, since I didn't buy it directly. I think I'll do that first, then see if the guy I bought it from can send it back if that doesn't work.

Well, no use worrying about it now. I'll make a video tomorrow and send a message to SM. See what he says and take it from there. Now it's almost turkey time! Happy holidays everyone (who celebrates TG :)

Have you found where the restriction is? With this desing only place I can think of is the bend of the intake tube.

OK, here is what I did. I flooded the entire tube trying to see where the water got restricted. It looks like the bottom bend it not bored out enough. When I was able to get water into the joint, I could only get it to drip very slowly back into the tube through that bottom hole. This probably only makes sense to those who have one. But basically, the hole where the vapor enters the thin intake tube part is what is restricting the draw, I believe. It seems like that hole is not properly made.

I was trying (unsuccessfully) to visualize where the problem could be. But it sounds like you may have found it. That opening should be the same as that of the arm and the connection where the arm feeds into the water chamber, all approx 1/3" ID. My HL has virtually no drag at all. Regrettably looks like yours needs to be exchanged. :ugh:

I called VapexHale today and inquired abou the HydraFeet. The reason they're only available w/ Swagger HT's is because Swagger provides the feet w/ each tube. VXH is working on obtaining their own feet, apparently.

I know this has been done before, but here is my mock-up tile/slide ht stand.
I think my final one will be black marble/granite , black slide, with black silicon and shaped like the VXL monkey(the tail maybe tough)
BTW, the nice clean HC, is courtesy of T-Dub's tech(PBW/HT Flusher)!

Seriously nice work :science: but where did you acquire that black piece? Is that a specialty piece that goes to a vape/bong im not aware of? or did you make/buy that? Seriously great work either way...

JoeFinny,
Yeah, its just a slide glued upside down on some travertine(?)
It would probably look better if I found a glass joint w/o the bowl, but
looks aside, I really enjoying having it on a stand and stability.

I have a few extra slides laying around. I just need to find (or buy) a tile and I'm going to make myself one of these.

:peace:

Edit: I have 2 nice ones, and one generic one. What do y'all think? Should I use a quality slide or a generic one? I don't know why I'm torn about this since I'll never smoke out of any of them. It just seems like a shame to 'sacrifice' a quality piece of glass.

I'm trying to decide between (left to right) the Mobius, Luke Wilson, or generic.

I would go with the first one. It looks simpliest and most compact and you could easily lift the whole stand holding that ring. I don't know if HT would fit the second one because of that horn. And I would keep that 3rd one, it looks good as a bowl (the 2nd too).

OK, I finally made a quick video of the SSFG HydraLine. Hopefully you can see the problem from this quick video. I am pulling as hard as I can on this, just to get an idea. You can really tell when I pull it off the cloud and it just doesn't want to clear.

I got a quick message from SM yesterday and he said he was going to get in touch with SSFG. I also messaged the seller and asked if this was how it was supposed to hit. Haven't heard back yet.

Here it is:

Here is how an inline should work with the Cloud. I am posting this t show the difference between the SSFG HydraLine with the restricted draw problem and a stand alone inline:

After my Cloud got destroyed, I no longer feel safe taking my new one out of the house. The supreme i feel safe taking anywhere, in any condition.

When water drips down a hot Cloud, it can explode.
Holy shit is that true?
So much money gone in a "flash"...

JoeKickass,
Mobius looks ideal.

Anyone will work fine. To make so I could disassemble and redo(if need be), I first used hot glue in the center, then silicone around the out side. It's plenty strong, but can be cut off, cleaned, and redone.
Best of luck!

It probably wouldn't get destroyed instantly from one occurrence of water unless someone coughed through the tube and sent a TON of water rushing down the bamboo.

A tiny drip certainly isn't good, but more likely to weaken the glass than break it instantly.

Oh, and definitely would change my statement about the supreme being invulnerable...it recently just broke (well, the thermometer) only from elevation change! (0-5000feet)

Sacrifice quality glass, Stu. Your HT deserves it.
I took all your advice and went with the Mobius slide. I found an old souvineer that I picked up in Brazil several years ago. It's a slice of a geode that has an oil painting on one side.

I just used a hot glue gun and it seems to have worked fine. It's just a little sloppy, but I'll try to clean her up a bit.

all of you making your stands, I would just be concerned to make sure its a really solid glue job. I used to work with hot glue, and it can become unstuck, even a bit brittle under cold conditions, and with the movement and weight of the HT going on and off, I would definitley be concerned about it snapping loose and the HT taking a fall. Hopefully you guys have it down well enough that this isn't an issue, but each photo I see posted of this kind of stand, makes me cringe just a bit, worrying about that glue popping off the slick surface of a tile.

they do look awesome!! :D

Very cool, Stu! I ask myself how much cooler could that be, and the answer is none. None more cooler.
