SM dude for what it's worth, my definitely falls on the side of getting rid of the ice pinches. I am a big fan of ice personally, but the cost benefit analysis falls strongly on the side of the cost being too great should something go wrong with the ice...it's just not worth the risk IMO. I understand ice in a piece like the HydraLine where backflow is a much lesser concern, but yeah I dunno I'm a little paranoid myself...I won't use ice unless it's BENEATH the Cloud. A little glycerine cooled HT would be money though

So, does the Showerdome still HAVE ice pinches or is it basically the exact same as that piece except without ice pinches? If it's not the same piece minus the ice pinches, how does it differ?

The Evolver HydraCirc is pretty much the Showerdome without ice pinches. I use the Showerdome and the Vertigo Hydratree, and like the SD just as well as the tree. I don't use ice-more trouble than it's worth for me, and if you're gonna use it in an HT, you always need to pay attention to the water level.

Oh yeah, you say that now but you just wait. I think my first few Cloud sessions went something like the first time I drank whiskey: in the beginning it was all "holy crap this is amazing and it tastes sooooo good" and then before you know it I was waking up in bed saying "what just happened to me?" I do hope you get your Cloud soon though dude and I look forward to seeing the pictures/hearing your thoughts.

Thank you max That is what I had gathered from my searching but it's nice to have it confirmed. Would you say that the Showerdome and the HydraTree seem to be about the same thickness? Also, does the mouthpiece on the Showerdome taper inwards (reduce) like it does on the HydraTree? The reason I was hesitant to buy a Showerdome package is that I remembered reading that the Showerdome was made of thinner glass than the HydraCirc and I'm a bit of a klutz so thick glass is a must. BTW it's great to see you around here max: one of the first things I said to vtac after returning from the abyss was that it's good to see max is still kicking ass and taking names

Hey P.veile, as far as thickness goes -

I pulled this from the vxc site : Evolver uses thick, 5mm tubing with precision glass blowing you can both see and feel.

The SD tubing is thick and strong at 44mm X 4mm and features a splashguard to prevent water from splashing against a user.


I've never experienced any form of diffusion really - to me I don't see it as too big of a deal but maybe it will catch me by surprise.

Yeh, I am like either way as of now; it would be nice but not anything I am desperate over. I am curious is the reason you would choose the hydracirc over the hydratree would be it's lower level of diffusion ?

Ohhhhhhhhhh boy. I am in deep trouble now...the wife is going to have my nuts in a vice over this one I can tell you that straight away. As you may be guessing, I bit the bullet and ordered my second Cloud package in under a month. Snagged a Cloud with a HydraCirc HT. To be honest the backup Cloud is really unecessary: I'm the only one who has any interest in Cannabis in my house and I rarely have large groups of people over these days. It really will be a backup, maybe it will get pulled out for parties but more than anything it's just a back up unit so that I never have to be without Clouds again. This is insane to me (that I'd spend this much money on something TWICE) but I guess if you ask me what I think of the Cloud I would have to say that it's bloody awesome. I say that I'd HAVE to say that because if I don't my bank account will be all like...but dude...you emptied me...TWICE! Now, VXH, seriously...PLEASE...don't do anything crazy like come out with a Cloud 2.0 in a few months. I don't think that my marriage or my wallet could handle it.

Anyway I am happy that I could support such an awesome company and glad that they offered this excellent deal for us all to take advantage of. I just blew a large percentage of my glass budget but I'm sure VXH is going to keep the madness train rolling for a long time...so we'll see what happens down the road Now it really is time to have my "three-bowl salute", and this one is most sincerely dedicated to SM55 and crew!!! I still feel very honored to have the opportunity to meet you guys. You really impressed the hell out of me. I might have been a fan before, but now I just have so much respect for you guys I can't even put it in to words how impressed it was. For your first time out of the gate at an event like this. You had it running like this was something you guys have done at least a dozen times. I think the crowd realized that as well. I got so many compliments on the booth and our outfits (We had nursing scrubs on with the logo on them). I am so please that the crowd recognized that I saw and rewarded you for it. I almost felt bad taking compliments about the booth. I always ended up telling everyone it was all you guys and I am just the fan there to help out.

For the people that were not there. It was really interesting. I am not sure about other parts of the country. Here in Seattle a lot of people there were all about dabbing. It has really exploded around here. Almost all of the glass pieces were oil rigs. The majority of the people asked if the device could use Oil. Lots of people were carrying around their own torches and oil rigs so they could do dabs as they walk around. I asked some of them if they bring that around with them everywhere and they said yes. I find it very interesting people carry around those little Toro Bubblers, a TI nail, and a Torch with them when they go out.

I am hoping it is just a new fad and that it will die down once it becomes more known and main stream. Personally, I think we are at that point in history where dabbing really is catching on. Partly because it is new and different. I have mixed feelings about dabbing. I used concentrates form time to time when I have really intense pain. I always feel gross afterwards, particularly the next day. I feel sluggish like I did a "drug", where as with flowers/keif/pressed hash/ I just feel like I am medicating with cannabis. I don't have side effect or sluggish feeling the next day. There was a panel talk called "To Dab or Not to Dab" the thing I took away was. If you care about your health and you are in it for medical reasons. You might want to avoid dabbing. It is nearly impossible to get all of the impurities out of the end product, particularly Butane processed oils.

Almost all of the devices that were competition were oil devices. So there was a chance that with the crowd being so heavily into Oil and the "710 movement" (Which BTW is OIL upside down and reversed), that VapeXhale could have been beat out by one of the little E-Cig like oil vaporizers. There were two groups of people that I enjoyed showing the cloud to the most. Those people who dab were one of them. It was cool to see them get a hit that made them grab around their eyes and rub their face. You could tell the buzz was hitting them hard in the face and chest.

The other group of people I enjoyed showing the cloud to was the older mature crowd who was looking for an option to stop smoking but never found anything that worked. There were several elderly women who were very impressed. One of them writing an article for a news paper told me. "It is like experiencing cannabis for the first time all over again" and she was in here 50-60's. It was a real tip to be able to actually help people use the device.

I'm surprised about the dabbing, well not really. It is a concentrate and people like doing things to the max :-). In my non MMJ state, it's hard to get anything but flowers, so that's cool for me :-). Especially with the cloud now.

Also, thanks for clearing up the 710 mystery for me...I was well aware it was related to oil but somehow never saw the thing that was staring me in the face, albeit upside down and backwards It makes so much more sense now. Personally I had a super brief stint with oil and backed away...it's too harsh for my body, and I am admittedly hyper-senstive but I really don't know how people could exclusively dab...they must hack worse than pack a day smokers. That stuff is thick and greeeasy.

I was texting one of my buddies, a diehard Volcano user, and telling him that I picked up a second Cloud package. I was showing the Cloud to him the other day and it's really the only thing that's impressed him since the Volcano: I think he actually wants to "share" my second Cloud! Haha I never thought I would get him off that 'cano but he's still thinking he needs that for "guests" and he's going to pay me to hold on to the Cloud and use it for his personal sessions, with the caveat that if mine fails I can call him up and collect, since he's always got the tough as bricks Volcano. Or maybe he'll want to purchase it straight up once he falls deeper in love with the billowing clouds...this is a close friend of mine mind you so I'm not looking to profit, just really happy that someone is as stoked about these great vapours as I am. Plus, if he took the extra Cloud, there'd always be one at his place when we sesh there! No more 'cano for me!!! Everybody wins

really, I started venturing into the world of dabs and oils because at the time, there were limited vapes on the market that were any good (that I was aware of) and with the recent onset of portable (true)vapes and now the Cloud, my world flipped right back around to mostly flowers. I just hope our supply can last until the next round, since my consumption has gone up recently, having to figure out a new way to pace it. Also now that the "new" is wearing off from getting the recent vaping devices, I am able to focus more on my daily consumption again, rather than spending all my time "getting to know" my vape. So now most of my oil gear just sits. My man still likes the dabs from the ISO oil I make, so he's using that mostly and I am almost strictly vape with the exception of some oil or hash here and there, which I also try to vape.

The first thing I said about the Cloud after trying it was it felt as strong as a dab, but much cleaner.

I can see where your coming from with the dabs (I usually only dab if i need to medicate fast, like the mornings). How do you feel about vaporizing oils? I think it can be safe in the right conditions like lower temps and filters(water,carbon,ect.). I know dabs NEED to be filtered because i have a work colleague that only hits his oil off blades and he has the nastiest cough i have ever heard. He is not a smoker. I guess it makes a person think about dabbing a little, its just hard to resist the rush from a fat ass dab. P.s. I will always love vaping a fresh bowl through my clean ass bong more then oil anyday. Oil is a luxury.

I will admit I will do a dab on a TI Nail if I am having back pain. I don't want people to think I am hating on dabbing or the people who do it. I just an very weary about the whole thing, and I still don't understand it all.

I think it all depends on the source of your Oil. Since there are so many different people making Oil the quality and purity is going to vary dramatically. Some of the oil I have gotten that is supposed to be "high quality super purged" tastes like crap and still had solvent in it. There is one person who's oil I tend to trust... because he uses it himself and expect it to be as pure as possible.

If the oil still has butane or ISO or some other solvent in it, then it does not matter much if you are vaporizing, dabbing, or smoking it. You are still going to be inhaling all the not so great chemicals that are used as solvents. I can see for a lot of people it is also about convenience. It is quick to do a dab. Faster then most vaporizers are to operate. For my long term health though it does concern me, and it is never something I want to do regularly if much as all. I consider it the last resource before I try a heavy pain pill or sleeping pill.

Great input SM, just on this page alone. You hit one on the head here. I know for years, it was my issue with vaporizers. Just seemed like too much hassle, when I could drop a nug in a bowl, flick a bic and rip one down. It wasn't until I actually turned to MMJ and actually did 6 months of research, before I picked it back up again. I combusted for a while... but quickly ended up here, when the smoking wasn't doing anything, except getting me "stoned". I didn't want to be stoned, I wanted to be medicated and still function, without stinking, red eyes and sounding stupid. Vapor answered that for me 10x over.

While, I am not a Cloud owner (I'd love to be, another day perhaps)... I do enjoy checking into this thread for stuff just like this. Though, I take issue with one thing. HIsaber Sumac will get me there, just as fast and with the same umph, the Cloud will.
