And more on the subject of water filtration...

Would a piece like this have too much volume for the VXC? (It's two feet tall.)

Obviously it would make the thicker, higher-temp stuff palatable even for the newbie, but what negative side effects would it have?

I hooked the Cloud up to my double perc Roor the other night and it was ok. I'd prefer the HydraTube over the two by far. I'll need to try it again though as I was already extremely baked when I tried it. Pic is posted a few pages back.

I don't have a lot of experience with glass, but the double-chamber I tried seemed to have a lot more drag.

If you get a double chamber made by a good brand/artist, a double chamber will not add much drag.

I have a strong feeling that the VXC is going to turn a lot of people into glassheads... be forewarned, it's a very strong addiction!

@BG- Yes the glass joint gets hot, but does not really "heat" the water in the HT.
@SM- Which size re-usable ice cube did you get that is small enough to fit (didn't mean to rhyme, but I was almost out of time)

Thanks for that clarification. And that does make sense; the heat transfer to the joint will be primarily with the draw, the HT won't be sitting atop the joint for a lengthy time, and the glass is thick. I don't mean to over-work this - but fantasizing about how the Cloud can be used is all we poor bastards who have to wait, can do.

Those cubes in SM's link may not fit after all. They are all 1 1/8". From the previous HT pic with the two-bit piece atop, it appears the ID of the HT was a tad smaller and that coin is exactly 1". For that matter, the old-fashioned style ice-tray cubes look like they might be too large, too.

Vxl just wondering if we can get an update on when the sgw package will start to ship. I didn't think they would take that long to pack up, or maybe are we waiting for more to be produced?

VXC Stoney Tip #1:
Always remove the cap of the ELB before you start stuffing ground up bud in. It makes you look kind of silly when you are demonstrating it to your friends!!

Lol. The other day I was so medicated from the first session I had that when I went to start my second session I forogt to put the EZ Load Bowl in again and kept wondering why I wasn't getting any vapor.

With the VXC this can be the only reason why you are not getting vapor. Or the unit can be off.

Anyone else finding they have a new unhealthy obsession with checking their email? I was just looking at my old preorder email, and it mentioned the CloudStation, is this something VapeXhale is looking to produce once they get past these initial struggles? I am looking forward to "the machine" to sort of take over the Cloud production and distribution so the vapexhale crew can focus on Research and Development again!

been there done that also you have to remember to put the elb in the unit before you hit it. i like fresh cold water in my ht not much into ice cubes. I have not used hot water since I stopped combusting . My stemless is 18" and i get nice vapor at 9 o'clock. I do love this vape.

correct me if i'm wrong... i think the 08/01/10 date was actually when vxl first sent out confirmation emails. for example, peeps that ordered on the first day, 06/11/10, did not get a confirmation email til 8/1. so i think you might have actually pre-ordered before aug 1.

I'm not sure if there's a direct correlation between the order number and the actual amount that have been shipped. I was #189 and that was back on 2/29. So it's either that or there's a lot of FC lurkers out there who have a cloud in their hands but aren't active on the forums.

i think the SN may actually have more correlation to the amount that has been shipped than the order#.

Yup, you're right, had to go through the the old vxc thread to find out when I pre-ordered, it was July 12, 2010...
