Hold up them horses a bit. Intentions are good but this adjustment should be done only if AVB is considerable darker near the tip. It will always be slightly darker at the tip due to the convection portion of the equation. I tried to keep it on the side of a small count, after the click, to accommodate all devices.
There are many reasons for a longer time after click. VC model, production run, herb itself, clicker calibration, connection on DC cord, as well as time accuracy.
It is only human nature for folks to start to doubt their heaters optimization once a discussion about it starts. Which is how things get discovered, and corrected. However, the flip side is although the adjustment is not a hard task, I can foresee many trying it just to experiment, and some may manage to pull an oppsy somehow. Happens to all of us.
Anyway, if comfortable with performing the adjustment and like to experiment, good stuff!!
So please, for the most part, only adjust the height if your getting dark AVB at the tip and when not touching the cap.
Long wait times with even AVB, must be something else. Which could be normal for what you are doing....?
