Introduction:

The Universal Baller is a hybrid Quartz/Titanium hybrid wireless/wired and hybrid conduction/convection ball vaporizer. Developed along with Crossing Tech, this vaporizer brings the thick vapor of Titanium housings to the delicate flavor of an all Quartz Setup! Built for modularity and customization!

This vape is Pre-Order right now, and once enough Pre-Orders are placed, the units will go into production! Place a Pre-Order here!

Below is a rendering of the Air path, with the Quartz highlighted orange, you can see that all metal components are recessed from the air path.

Function Video at the Bottom!

Development Goals:
  • Creating a premium wireless ball vape featuring an all glass air path
  • Offering a backup solution in case of broken pieces
  • Increased Power output of the Quartz format
  • Wired solution for extreme low temp use featuring convection and conduction
  • Cross compatibility whenever possible
Challenges:
  • Quartz tolerance issues lead to significant development challenges. We had to come up with special systems to ensure proper fitment for each unit
  • Fritted disc testing was long and painful, ensuring that we had the perfect airflow for use!
  • Properly sealing the chamber to direct airflow through the Quartz!

Dammit, I just got my One Hit Wonder today and I see this? :uhoh: I'm going to justify my purchase by it being somewhat less fragile, and now I'm logging off before the VAS kicks in!

The photos have disappeared, but I was able to see this configuration in images directly on your site.

I find this vape really interesting. It's completely original compared to all the other ballvapes on the market currently.
But I have always heard that quartz is less efficient than metal, and that glass vaporizers need more heat to work well..

I'm still thinking about whether to participate in this pre-order or not.
Could you show us more on video?
For example, how to go from quartz insert to all metal?

I have reuploaded the pictures but I don't think I can edit the post anymore...unfortunate that the free image upload lasts 3 days.

I have some more clips on my website under the user guide section on my website. Unfortunately the video keeps rotating on upload so for now they have youtube watermarks.

You just remove the Quartz insert and use the chamber with the included metal screens

oh cool, I completely missed the user guide section for this vape.
Awesome 👍🏻, very good work.

I imagine the flavor with the glass insert can't be beat.
But in terms of performance and extraction, how does your vape compare in glass mode vs all titanium?

I originally designed the all metal mode expecting it to only be used in case the Quartz breaks, but its really a powerhouse. It has almost double the rubies (1000) and heats up faster in the coil. The temperatures are also a little bit lower. The extraction is a little quicker, and the rubies have more of a "battery".

I notice the metal flavor the most in all metal wired mode. This is where you can really pump up the conduction power potential of the vape to the max. This is more of a "360" ball vape like experience.

The flavor of of the Quartz mode rivals all quartz setups in the testing experience so far. I used a popular brand Quartz housing as my daily driver for almost 2 years. I haven't turned it on since I got the first early prototype. Even if I am a bit biased for my own design, it was just a noticeably a better experience right away. My prototype testers so far have said the same thing, but its still quite early.

Any thoughts on doing a pre-order on the head only? Had some people on my server asking, so I thought I’d ask.

This will eventually be an option, likely after launch. To get the pricing where it is at, the entire kit is needed at the very least for this round.

They can use the code NOPID to take $50 off the price and receive the kit without a PID for now.

looks very interesting, hoping for a head only version soon next year!
It will likely not be early next year. The housing itself is an outsized portion of the kit cost compared to many other units. Simply put it is the primary driver of the cost, and would not be all too much cheaper without the rest of the kit.

Fritted disc won't crumble with some pressure or tension?
How about cleaning them discs? Found them impossible to clean once stained.

The quartz fritted discs are quite strong in general, and commonly used in several different concentrate vaporizers. In this configuration they don’t really get dirty unless you overpack the bowl while twaxing. It’s a little harder to burn off than regular metal but it cleans up nicely. This is why I don’t recommend the double deckers/dab configuration. I don't recommend vigorously shaking the housing like any quartz unit, but it hasn't had any issues under normal use.

I’ve sent probably a pound through testing so far and have not had to clean the disc due to regular flower vaping. Just like any ball vape they stay the most clean when you’re mindful of not sending blowback vapor through it.

The design is such that there is very little movement, but enough tolerance that there isn’t pressure or torque on the glass components. Issues here are tackled by QC on the fit of each glass component with a housing. I would argue there is less broken glass from use than anything with quartz threading
