I have an unused smart outlet that I meant to try with one of my dogs. I tend to leave them at a 'standby' of about 6V, but having them off and just being able to turn them on from my phone before I leave work sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the reminder, I'd totally forgotten I had that outlet.

yay! im looking forward to the sale.. i was thinking about getting a new vape since it'll be 2 years since i got my econodog. im ready to graduate lol. i think i need a new extension cord for it too.. i think it just broke i have friends visiting next month and so i need to stock up on stems and screens too. conveniently yer birthday sale comes after my own birthday & so this event is becoming highly anticipated

What's the best vvps i need to to keep a steady temp? I've been using the led dimmer with my dog and can't keep a steady temp! I'll get a couple of good draws and the heater cools down. Any suggestions?

I think it's probably the nature of the beast. After 2 draws mine needs 5 mins to get back to temperature. The new alpha dog has a bigger heater, or something? and apparently keeps temperature better. I have the travel Vvps they sell.

Is the glass stem capacity anything like an Arizer Solo stem?

Also approx capacity of the nongs and gongs.

I'm planning to run it through water 90% of the time - will it be able to keep up with a couple stems in a row? Would I just bump the voltage up of it can't?

You can find a groove of draw rate and voltage to keep them temp steady. The glass stems are maybe 3/4 to 1/2 of a solo stem. Nong is like a vapcap at smallest bowl.

Yes it should be able to keep up for a couple stems in a row, though there are so many variables there it's hard to make absolute statements like that. If you have too much a temp drop off from the hits being too close together then yeah you can bump the voltage a bit to compensate.

That shouldn't be a problem to run a few stems in a row. I can usually get as many as I want in a row with no issues. There have been times where I can tell I may have pushed it too hard. I just let it sit for 1-2 minutes and its ready to go. It just has not been an issue for me.

I'm glad you found another one you liked just as much (or even more).

I bet there's a chance given the circumstances that @underdogette will give you the sale price anyways. I can't say for sure since that's her domain and I don't want to step on her toes... but... wouldn't be surprised.

Gray rainy day around here......brought out the Banksia Dog plus an Olive Wood SS stem and an 18mm NonG for the kitchen counter whilst I putter. Just stop by every now and then for a nice little micro dose. Great tools

no problem haha, I actually liked the jatoba more aesthetically, I was going to get the bocote because it was less dense. So in a way, you doing that got me the one I liked more, thankyou, Ha! plus it fits more aesthetically with the wood in my house, the house I live in is really old and used to be owned by a woodworker so basically everything is made of wood, every cabinet and door and all of the floors besides the kitchen and bathrooms are solid wood.

Thankyou, and I am consistently surprised regarding how nice you guys and just everyone on this forum is in general, I wish I had joined sooner actually. A few years ago I wasn't even aware of vaping.

Also I just remembered I had a question for you, because jatoba is such a dense wood, should I give it a little more power to achieve temperature, or does it just effect the heat up time. Does it's density also mean that it will retain heat better once warm?
