Perfect! I'll continue on doing the same thing in that case. Thanks for the reply. We treat them as if they're wood and use underbutter on them here in Underdog Land.

So I just got my two underdogs. One custom which has already been seen on here and a minidog. Unfortunately, they were too tired to play tonight, so I tucked them into bed.
I will make sure they get lots of love and play a whole bunch tomorrow. Thank you so much @underdog and @underdogette! You both made the entire process so easy and I will definitely be getting another (or more) as soon as I can to keep the pack growing.
Only had my C Dog for a little over a month and I love it but my real passion is for the NonG stems.
I'm a medical user and with the UD I vape 1 to 4 bowls every 30 to 60 min. My constant use results in dropping the NonG stems at least half a dozen times a day! For me glass would be a nightmare with my hardwood floors and remote location but these are tough as and won't ruin my day.

I have been enjoying my cocobolo pup with the sapwood spot that Dave posted a few pages back and I wanted to thank @underdog for turning such a beautiful piece. Unfortunately, it developed a crack during the burn in phase but @underdogette hooked me up with a discount . The small crack is right over the sapwood spot and I honestly enjoy it. It just works with the irregular grain of the cocobolo and it is perfectly imperfect. I asked about it before the core was put in, so they made sure that I got a hotter core which I wanted to pair with my dimmer. I should have gotten the 15v power supply instead but I can add that later.
I own a few different logs (Nano, HGL, and HI as well) and I love them all for different reasons. What I love about the UD is that each piece is handcrafted, totally unique and has its own personality. The customer service is the gold standard for all businesses, not just vendors on this forum.
What's up Dogs?
Another Monday and we're plugging away as usual. Cold, rainy and dreary here so it's time to catch up on office work and rounding up those various VVPS units, etc for our 'Underdog Yard Sale'. Hopefully I'll have enough free time in the schedule to start getting those sorted out and offered up this week.. fingers crossed.
Our of curiousity, when is the yard sale and would it include vaporizers or just the vvps units?
IME Without a VVPS, the temp seems to jump around a lot in the car depending on if my engine is on, or I'm driving.. I can't say if there's any potential risk in starting the car with it plugged in I wouldn't necessarily think so though, but at least it's easy to avoid if you're concerned.. I asked Dave a while back about how long he thought my car battery would run my log w/o the car running, and I cant remember exactly what he guesstimated, but I wanna say maybe between 5-7 hours at the most which is way longer than I'd ever probably want to run it without the engine running.. Personally, I never really felt like I got the consistent results I wanted from the car cable alone, but maybe I'm too spoiled from always using a VVPS.. Anyways, the way I use my logs in the car is by hooking up a VVPS between them and the car plug, so I can keep the voltage where I want it.. That's the only way I do it.. I'd try it regardless of the VVPS though to see how it works out for you w/ your car and log.. Gotta love vaporboxing the car Have a good trip!i'm going on a long road trip thru the west in my minivan and plan to do alot of camping/exploring. i'm considering getting the 12v car adapter to use my underdog in my minivan. anyone have experience using this to power their dog? anything i should be aware of? my current concerns are how much power does it draw in case i want to keep it plugged in while the car is off and if i should disconnect it when i start my car to prevent possibly damaging it. would the temp be similar to the wall wart from an AC outlet? thanks in advance.
Speedy recovery!!!Heya Dogs! Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Thanks for all the love. I want to apologize for being a little slow this week to answer messages and such, but just had surgery yesterday, and I'm doing a few things here and there when I get too stir crazy.
Packages are still going out on time, and I think I finally got my inbox back down to a manageable level.
Overall, things are going well. The surgery was very smooth and doc says I should have a swift recovery. I'm already feeling a million times better.
If you think I might have missed something, please feel free to message me again. Thanks guys!

Running a cord straight from the power port to the dog will give you voltages of around 12.1 volts when on "accessory". The same power port outputted 13.94 volts with engine running= HOT DOG. Too hot. Best solution IMO is power pack that outputs variable voltage to plug the dog into. They are adjustable in increments of .5 up to 13 volts. You can then use your car power port to charge the battery pack while driving. No worries about running your car battery down while out camping. My battery pack uses a mini usb cable for charging so cable is different from what you were considering
can you provide a link to your power pack? ive researched some power banks for my trip but havent seen one where you can adjust the voltage output.

three-female hole claisen on the way. With this one and my other one, can quad dog so will see how that ends up... also hoping double-dogging+carbhole will possibly help w the airflow thing
Absolute madman, muunch. Haha. More power to ya.
It looks like a half-sunny day out there with winter retreating but holy jesus it's colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra. -29F with windchill, sounds like a good day for a hot coffee, a good book and a warm log. As much as I love the wenge dog, the walnut ac getting nice and hot feels so good on the hands on days like these. My brother called me up and needs me to housesit next weekend and I'm already conflicted about which vape to bring... decisions, decisions.
Did some additional searching and found the Qidian battery pack at Fasttech. It is shipped with batteries for a little over $40. Disclaimer,,,,I have never used Fasttech and cannot vouch for them.

I looked at a lot of power packs and it seems that the ones that are adjustable only adjust to factory preset voltages: 9V, 12V, 15V, 18V Not as fully adjustable as the discontinued Qidians
We're making enough progress on backed up work that we'll be starting a soft rollout of our new and improved Standard Core Mk2 (SC2) and some new power supply options as well. I say soft rollout since we'll have limited quantity as we're still dialing in the different production steps required and will limit availability to experienced Dog users a first.
