Hey guys. I snagged a 2.1mm dc car charger from my buddy who was moving the other day. I wanted to post on here and make sure the charger won't damage my dog. I am almost positive this is the charger I now have:

This is a 12 volt power supply, as I believe the wall unit I got with my UD is also.

I'm hoping this is sufficient, would love to take my dog for a ride!

Dropping a quote from Alan from HI. My concern with the issue Alan is raising pertains to my Econo dog. I just orderd O-rings for my econodog core. My intent is to use the O-rings on my econodog, thus giving me the ability to use my glass stems.

I get requests occasionally to provide a roasting tube stop on the outside of the Heat Island stainless steel heater cover. It has been suggested to simply use silicone o-rings to provide the tube stop. The silicone o-rings would be subject to temperatures at or exceeding its limitations. I also don't want to introduce hot silicone into the air path. Instead, I found that a 3/8" stainless steel retaining ring works perfect for a roasting tube stop. It fits perfectly into the groove from the internal tube stop.
It is now an option for anyone ordering a HI.

A quick google search shows that the effective temperature range of silicone is from -65 to 450 degrees F. Are these O-rings indeed safe for use?

Yep, that is the temp range and yep safe for use.

So tonight I cut a firefly oil pad to fit the gong I use in my mobius. I want to use the underdog and convection heat to replace my enails if the experience can match it. More testing is in order but so far I got one incredibly smooth hit off a micro dab.

Ah, ok, then that one should work. Just be careful to watch how hot it gets, especially while the car is running. Some cars can actually output a damaging amount of voltage and it will all be passed straight through to your vape!

My thoughts after 2 dabs in that contraption are that we should use titanium, because why not. And you can torch it clean. Also, this idea seems to be working great so far. Very very smooth. I'd rather use my underdog than an enail any day if I can keep getting great results like this.

Titanium mesh? I like this idea alot. Please keep us posted! I would like to replicate your method.

I use gr2 titanium coils from w9 they are for the sr71/74 Hercules
With a little manipulation they fit right in the stem,only down side is the whole in center which I took care of with S/S screen.

I loved the special exotic minis that you did for 4/20. I'd buy a million of those things in every different wood. I got the walnut bullet and I love the unique shape/premium wood grain. It's tiny but might be the one I show off the most.

Concentrate stems! I feel like I'm very close with what I've done which is relatively simple. Its just about using titanium oil pads instead. W9 has titanium oil pads for the hercules that could fit.

I find oil generally works better for me medically lately, even though my tolerance for flowers is still very low. I think in the summer months my allergies get worse and vaping buds irritates my throat, and that really doesn't happen with oil at all.

I love my underdog too much to dab when I could use a special stem for convection dabs instead. Even the regular NONG pre-fit with the "right" size and distance stainless/ti mesh would be perfect as is. I think there is certainly a community who is able to help me experiment with this for some rapid results....

I'm off to test mine some more and watch last nights episode of the strain!

A birthday special drop or sale would be awesome, I am kind of in the market for a new Underdog....but in September after I pass my drug tests for work so I honestly couldn't ask for a more convenient time and to spend my usual medicine money + OT on something lol.

I'd like to see a new oil core. Not sure what to reference it as but the shielding that holds our stems and has a built in screen.

I noticed it was beyond easy to just take the Hammer nail and open up my UD and fix my Mini's issue. If a core without a screen is possible we could get a inner core glass stem with a capped bottom to hold the oil. Partnered with some new glass carbed stems. Hopefully also possible, new Ti+SS tips also bearing capped bottoms and carbed nylon stems.

I do the same with gold pads, make them myself. Works even better than Ti (no oxidation when torchend and a niiiice heat conductivity to vape everything out of the pad)
I use a HI myself, but I guess it works the same on a UD.

This big bad boy turned out wonderful!!! Looks gorgeous and can hold a few loaded stems and some ground herb in the bottom for refilling the stems in the middle of a session!!

Do pads like that exist without the center hole? I don't have much experience in this area so I rely on you guys for education and suggestions.

No worries there.. it's not our type of thing. Between the inability to discount beyond a certain point with our stems and vapes being literally handmade and the loss of ability to control customer service it's just not something we can or want to do.

I think titanium would be better, but I see no real issue with stainless either especially at these temps. Just can't torch it clean really when its stainless.

I'm sure there is a better option out there but its working really well.
