Underdog Log Vapes

Hey all. I currently own a nano and was thinking of getting another log vape. I love the underdogs looks. Id love the opinion of anyone who owns both. I was checking the UD web sight and all the custom options look sick, but function always comes first with me. I like to get milky hits and stretch my stash.
I think you'll be very happy if you purchase an Underdog. I know I love all mine!

You won't be disappointed. Sorry I only have the UD, but I've put it through the paces- using it as my main vape for a year with many drops to the floor and tip overs & it's holding up better than it should by the way I treat it. (OK, I'm a bad master), but I don't expect it to die any time soon. It gives big hits, it's fun, easily adjustable, looks fucking incredible, has a super lightweight cord, the breeders are bomb, it's simple to clean, and it kills it every time,
... "It's the gift that keeps on giving".

Hey Dogs, hope you're all doing well and having a good week. We're working on new pieces and should have a refresh up within a week or so. Should also have some more 'Vape Specials' and Econo-Dogs as well so stay tuned...

Didn't get a chance for a walk, road trip or camp out, maybe next weekend. Though I do plan to treat my dogs right, here is a sneak peek of EdsTnT amazing Snappo wood dog treats!

Why don't the cables work for you @Vapor Loop? what trouble are you having with 'em?

I know I have to pick up a new extension cord or two for my Vap myrtle dog as I received a cord with a 90 degree plug which won't work with it, need a straight plug for it and my old core ash 'dog. The plugs with a "90" both seem to plug into all my 'dogs just fine but my myrtle and Ash won't get up to temp with 'em.

Hi Vapor Loop, can you give us some more information on how/why your extensions aren't working? They're just a standard off the shelf 2.1mm DC extension cable (male/female) and should be relatively easy to find online. We provide the smallest gauge ones by default as they're the most flexible and inexpensive which people mostly seem to like but we do have a heavy-duty one available too (see drop down selections on the cable extension product page) for those who prefer a thicker cable.

Here is a quick search of 2.1mm DC extension cables on eBay for you as well: 2.1mm DC Extensions @ eBay

Heya Rude Boy, are your cables that don't get things up to temp longer than the ones that do? The longer the cord the higher the resistance and the cooler it will run the Dog but there is also some variation between cables of the same length so some may run warmer or cooler than others. I'm guessing the 90° one you have are just a little higher in resistance as part of that variation so run cooler than the straight plug cables you have. :2c:

Both of the ones I have now are 6 footers, the problem I seem to have with the 90 degree plugs are due to the female plug on the myrtle and ash are recessed into the body of the vapes a bit so only the very tip of the male plug makes a connection in the female so the myrtle just gets warm and not Hot enough and a 90 degree plug won't work at all with my Old core Ash 'cause the plug won't go in deep enough to make contact with the center pin in the female.

The old core heated up great with my old 30' cord with the straight plug and both work great straight off the wall wart, Just placed an order for a couple of extensions with the straight plug so I ought to be good to go soon enough.

Edit; Hope that makes sense. I'm very Baked very early in the day for me.

Yep makes perfect sense! The 90° cords don't like to work with larger Dogs with a deeper plug recess.. clearance issues because of the right angle.

I knew i ordered the proper cords i got them from the first one on that list. The end that hook's to the Vk is too small. I have been having some bad luck with eBay recently. I might have to give those heavy duty one's yall have a try.

I don't know anything about the VK but I was under in the impression they used 2.1mm connectors too. If the cable you have is too small to fit it may be a 2.5mm one... which makes me have to ask - is your Dog an Econo-Dog??

No i have a poplar twig from the x-mass sale. The one with that nice stripe, But yeah they both use the same connectors, It seem's they sent the wrong size sen't or something.

Huh, that really sucks man.. sorry to hear it. So it was eBay that sent you the wrong cable then not us? Or was it a cable that came with the VK?

Yes it was a eBay seller. The cords that came with both the U.d and Vk didn't last. I really have to give the heavy duty ones a try. I have the same problem with the power supply. I have been using the mflb pa power supply for my U.d somehow those seem to hold up, But i'm not even sure if the new 2.0 adapter uses the same power supply. I hope so because i'm in the middle of my H.i order now.

I wish the people that made the cords made them as reliable as your and Vk's products.

My Hickory air core dog arrived today. I am quite happy to be back "in the pack". Only took 5-6 minutes before the first stem was ready, and my gear is a bit moist. Since the air-core runs a little hotter, I now wonder if I really needed to grab a VK......Thanks to the great folks at UD! I have spent some time with the battery powered portables, but I find a much better headspace with analog/convection.

Lost my longtime friend Blaze a few months back, this vape will be named in her honor. The dog that keeps on makin' me feel good. Enjoy!

I own and use both.

I will say this. They are alike enough that you will easily adapt to using the UD. You'll easily get great hits, great efficiency, and great effects.

But they are also different enough that you will not feel that having both is redundant. Especially when using the stainless tipped stem or adapters that fit into the heater core. You'll be amazed how little material you need to put in there to get milky hits.

The custom process at UD is excellent, they will get you sorted out fast and your dog will be in hand before you know it. It's a lot of fun, and Underdogette makes it super simple.

Hope that helps!

Love this- what are you using for a mouthpiece?

As for the UD enano comparison- The customer service for the UD is unsurpassed as you can tell from this thread. I like the different stems that come with the UD. I haven't tried with the enano but you can turn the UD into a portable with a battery back. I also like and use the aromatherapy cup. With the enano I like the temp control but that can be bought. Otherwise they are similar to me. Given the cost difference and the accessories that come with the UD as part of the kit, if I was only going to get 1 log it would be the UD.
