I'm just sitting here at work refreshing the home page at underdogvapes every 30 or so minutes, with a hint of OCD, needless to say, I'm very excited to see the new pieces!

I have decided to use the stump for direct draw on my computer/gaming desk, and buy a twig for using with my bubblers and the gong stems!

New accessories you say?! :whoa:

You have no chance Yoshi! I have hired an army of minions to refresh the page constantly and buy every dog that is cool. muhahhahahahahahah. :D You cannot win Yoshi!!!! :whoa:

They're all fantastic! Come on paycheck! I see 4 that I would love to have equally!

Too late too little! I hear reports from all corners that my minions have already purchased 4 of them. I suspect they are the 4 you like!!! I had a cat named Yoshi...It was my fav troll cat!!! Since you had the unfortunate fate to have this name, I must taunt you forever and deny you any Underdog ever - then only my pleasure can be complete...my god! I'm very medicated...........:D

Alright, it seems that Underdogette has fixed all the things I broke and the pieces are now up and live.. enjoy. Gonna step out for dinner now but will check back in and see how things are going in a couple hours in case anyone has questions. Will resume catching up on emails then as well. :peace:

My god... there are TONS of beauties in this refresh, UD! I mean, there always are, but this time you've REALLY outdone yourself...

The Hawaiian Monkeypod and the Spalted Tamarind are particularly gorgeous...

Love the shape of the Wild Oak Twig...

There will be another UD in my collection someday... perhaps sooner than my bank account wants to hear...

Just ordered my first Underdog, an Indian Rosewood Twig! Grabbed two nylon stems and a VVPS along with it.:rockon:

That poplar banded space pod is freaking sweet looking. The grain on the mulberry thick twig looks mesmerizing as well. I think I'm getting VAS  again.
I have to say my current underdog still rocks on like a champ, and is my go to vape. If something were to happen to my ud........ oh god:o . I would be crushed. I love this vape:rockon:. I couldn't ever bring myself to sell it, it has formed a sentimental attachment to me, is that weird?:uhoh:

@ EDA - thanks man I appreciate your appreciation of my hard work. :) The Spalted Tamarind is always one of my favorites and the Monkeypod.. I got that a year ago and am just now starting to use it so I'm excited about and glad people are digging it. Got some other neat woods that I haven't used yet either and will be doing so in the next month.

@ Crohnie - glad you like queen, she's a 'beaut! My occasional shop helper/woodworking apprentice actually turned that one and I'm sure he'll be psyched to hear people like it so I'll let him know. Thanks!

@ JJ420 - thanks for the order and good choice with the Indian Rosewood it's a very cool wood and has tons of little details you can just sit and stare at (at least I can lol). It is also, of course, a fog-breathing machine like any UD as well. Anywho, thanks for the order we'll ship it out tomorrow and you'll get tracking info when it leaves. Oh and welcome to the UD family. :)

@ MotoPsycho - not weird at all, I think it would be weird if you WEREN'T attached to your Dog. I think you're one of the few people who like the Poplar Space Pod, maybe it won't sell and then you can buy it when I discount it haha.

@ I_wanted_truth - haha seems like there's always sweat and frequently blood in the shop but nothing major since the near-amputation of my finger 4-5 months ago. Tears are mainly confined to the office work side of Underdog. You did the Western States 100 ER?! That's hardcore shit there. I've got some friends who do the Tevis Cup (Western States Trail Ride) which is a horseback event that I think inspired the run? Both require some crazy endurance!

Oh, man! I wish! I run long distances, but not that far......YET. One day. I had some runner friends from the southeast out there running it this year, though.

I MEANT TO SAY that I followed the coverage over the weekend. Due to the crazy heat, runners were resorting to those measures....

Your right about the Trail Ride starting the Run. The legend is that in the 1970s Gordy Ainsleigh's horse went lame and he couldn't ride. I guess his horse was on the downward spiral for a while, and he actually trained quite a bit by running along side it. So for that year's race, Gordy left his horse and ran 100 miles in under 24 hours....setting the benchmark for everyone after him.

Sweet refresh! I'd love to try those new cores and nylon stems one day!

@ I_wanted_truth - ah, gotcha.. any distance running is impressive to me, these days I only run if being chased lol. Cool story about Gordy Ainsleigh, thanks!

Alright, all orders are shipped as of this morning, thanks for the late night Dog orders.

Need to decide what to do for power supplies here in the next few weeks, unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to find a quality power supply. The big batch of mini-VVPS's I bought is slowly running out and I don't know that I'll order them again since more have failed that I would have hoped. I was considering buying Hildbrandt ones wholesale but 3 out of my 4 test units have died in the past 2 weeks (after about 8 months of testing/use) so that's disappointing. I also had a lab-grade power supply die recently as well but that was after 3-4 years of use and the company fixed it at least, it was a bitch to send a 30lb power supply in for repair though lol. Sticking with the stock wall-wart is a possibility as well, or keeping it as an option, but they fail regularly too so not an ideal solution there either.

Do any of you UDs have thoughts on the above? Feedback on the stock wall-warts and/or mini-VVPS? Settings you've used the VVPS at (and for how long) and whether it's been working alright for you to date? Possible suggestions of other VVPS we might try?

I've had both my Underdogs running almost constantly since buying them (one from each of the two previous refreshes, I believe). Both came with the VVPS. They both run at about 11.5 constantly, and so far I have had no issues with the power supplies whatsoever (knock on wood).

Thanks Meghan, much appreciated. I've been testing some different power settings and have found that changing how I use the power supplies can dramatically lengthen their lifespan.

Specifically I've found that lowering the 'standby' voltage to a lower level, say 4-5v, when not in use can really extend the life. I've been running mine like this: 4-5v 'standby' between use, then when wanting to use go to 13v for 2-3 minutes and then adjust to desired operating voltage for another minute or two and good to go.

So a lower 'standby' voltage to operating temps in less than 5 minutes and an increased VVPS lifespan to boot.. not a bad usage pattern I think.

I was planning on running mine at around 4 or 5 for standby anyways, for the aromatherapy cups, so it's nice to hear that!

While I love having for VVPS for occasional or travel usage (to ensure proper voltage to the dog), I am really a fan of the regular wall wort. I find the lights (and actually the high pitched noise too) of the VVPS to detract away from the good looks of the Dog by itself. Plus, the "stealth factor" of the Dog is greatly reduced by that bright display. I like my Dog hot when in use and I swear that my Dog gets hotter on the wall-wort than it does at 14.0v on the VVPS. Impossible I know.....

I wish I wasn't hurting my Dog with the wall wort, but.......

It sure would be nice to find some sort of power source without lights and sounds, that still allowed to step down the voltage. Some sort of dial like the E-nano or HI could be nice, but even just a switch between full power and "standby power" would be cool.

Finding a wall wort that isn't so hefty (is that possible?) would be sweet too. Some of my old outlets can barely hang on to that brick!

And maybe a power source with a 3D printer attached that can print herb?

Is this too much to ask?!

@ I_w_t - thanks for the feedback, good stuff there. I'll continue the search for power solutions and let you know if I find something without the lights and/or sounds. I've only had bad luck with non-hefty power supplies, haven't yet found one that doesn't die within weeks of use with a Log vape. I like your special 3D printer idea..

Hope this weather breaks soon or I might have to just take the rest of the week off, gather up the Dogs and head to the lake for the duration. ;)

I think today is supposed to be the hottest for this week and the wind is totally gone so it's like an oven out there.. looks like the outside temp is 108-110°. I've got a thermometer with the inside reading the office temps and the 'outside' sensor reading the shop temp - this is what it looks like today. :o

I think I'll spend the rest of my day in the office. :chill:

Who bought the Bocote Slender Twig????? I finally went for a walk to decide between E-nano and UD. So I decide on the UD and the Bocote Twig...partly because it's in my brain the most as I have been eyeing it even before the current refresh....so I come back and it's GONE!!!!! Who bought it! Step forward SiR. I challenge you to a duel!
