Definitely check that out. The first season (I think, might be the second), the camera motion was pretty bad. They got it fixed though.
Sons of Anarchy (haven't finished the last season yet), Justified, Breaking Bad, of course, are all great dramas. I've heard so much about The Americans, I'm jumping into that soon.
If you like "touching" dramas, Friday Night Lights, and Parenthood are good.
Since you like the reality shows, this seasons Real World is pretty good so far. It might hold you over until Survivor is back.

Parenthood is done now. The final episode of the series aired this past Thursday night.
I've been watching Banshee on Friday nights. A new guilty pleasure since Sons of Anarchy is now off the air as well.
Also watching Justified and The Americans, both equally good.
And HBO showed the entire series of The Wire recently and I have them all on my DVR. Just finished season 2 and getting ready to start season 3.

Yeah, I also DVR'd the whole series as well being that I never saw it. Just finished season one and now starting season 2. Great show.................as is the Americans that I have been watching since the first episode.

The Venture bros. --- Had a one hour special called "All This and Gargantua Two" air recently. But who knows when we'll get more. It's a shame because this is a really well done show.
Checkout Mike Tyson Mysteries on Adult Swim if you enjoy Archer, and The Venture Bros. You don't have to be a boxing fan at all to enjoy this shit.

They just take such a unique perspective on Soviet spies. It's not the typical good guys versus bad guys as they give you an empathetic look into how "the other side" lives.
And in regards to watching The Wire from it's beginnings, it's really interesting to see how technology progresses. In the second episode of season 2, they were using a fax machine and the connect noises that it made brought back some memories that I haven't thought about in ages. It 's great too that they remastered it in HD.

No doubt, that's what makes part of the show's appeal.
It is written rather well and the characters were given time to develop, which I feel is important. It allows the viewer to feel like they "know" the character.

The Real World has never been my cup of tea, BUT I do like The Challenge and I saw commercials during it for the new RW....I was sick Thursday and watched a whole bunch, quality trash rtv but I loved it...that guy had 3 girlfriends xD I thought it was a fresh twist and I liked seeing them all get swoll.

Just came across this gem from AMC, Turn:Washingtons Spies. Season one is completed and the second season is approaching in early April I believe.

A historical thriller set during the Revolutionary War, TURN: Washington's Spies centers on Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell), a farmer living in British-occupied Long Island who bands together with his childhood friends to form the Culper Ring -- an unlikely team of secret agents who not only went on to help George Washington turn the tide of the war but also gave birth to modern spycraft."
Not a ton of big names here, but neither did Walking Dead when it came out.
After watching this, I can't help thinking we have become what England once was, with our occupying bases in other countries and the like.

I'm watching UK Channel four documentary "Drugs Live - Cannabis On Trial"........... Reactionary, scare-mongering, predictable stuff. To be fair, they're particularly singling out Skunk strains as provoking psychosis.... They've set up a Skunk v. Hash scenario....

I really wanted to like this but...it really didn't do it for me
kinda jaded ansty cop-partnership thing with flimsy stories - watched 2 episodes but won't be back for more. Appreciate the recommendation though

I urge those wondering about Scientology to watch the documentary Going Clear on HBO. This so called religion is a dangerous cult. L Ron Hubbard was mentally ill IMO.
These actors that are so heavily involved in this religion could harm their careers. Anybody would be nuts to belong to this.

That was an INTENSE show, Carol! I had no idea what that "church" was all about. If I needed more reasons not to watch Tom Cruise, that documentary provided them. What a bunch of fruit loops.
