Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)

Mr Milkshakes! but goes with mythic quest

That was the first for me. I feel like there's more I'm just not remembering. Loved him as W in Vice!

I saw that, but have no recollection lol

There's definitely a lot, but in the last couple decades he moreso really took off with a lot of roles and like universal recognition

Nice to see all the TV discussion 👍

Unfortunately I have no access to Severance, sounds awesome & will seek out later

Never got past S1 of The Righteous Gemstones. Haven't tried The White Lotus yet. Should circle back at some point to those, plus the new reimagined Marvel Daredevil series is a nice option.

With my sci-fi fandom, I do have access to & high on my list is Paradise ⭐

The Dark Side of the 90s documentary series has entertained me recently, the Baywatch Sex Sells episode & Rave Culture Under the Influence (MDMA)

And I went & watched the Eastbound And Down series again, first time after its 2009 release ⭐ 🎉
Kenny Fucking Powers 🤣

Hadn't seen the beginning of that series back in the day. Just wow & imo Daniel McBride's best work. Quite a story arc! Rotten tomatoes gives S4 alone a 100% rating. A crazy & explicit plus graphic series 🙀 ... even today & already 16 years later

The Last Of Us S2 is coming shortly as many of you know 👍

I'm super excited with the recent access to the full HBO library VOD. I already want to rewatch Westworld, Watchmen (TV series), Mrs Davis, True Detective S1-S3, The Leftovers, Band of Brothers, Chernobyl, never seen The Wire, never seen The Sopranos, never seen Game of Thrones, never seen Succession, never seen His Dark Materials.

I have Disney+ access to Firefly & never saw it but 😍 the Serenity movie, need to get to that big time

A lot of great content out there

Run, do not walk, to your tv and start watching "Paradise" immediately!!

Based on your Sci-Fi fandom admission(me too), check out "Zero Day", "The Gorge", and "Silo". I think you'll dig them. "Severance" is a must watch as already said. If you have Amazon Prime, you can get a free trial on there for Apple tv +...hate to say it but Apple tv killing it with series and movies right now.

Mrs Davis

Note to anyone else, this one is actually a peacock original in the US

With my sci-fi fandom, I do have access to & high on my list is Paradise

I had suspicions there was a sci-fi angle involved, they are so secretive in the marketing about the twist and such, I haven't checked it out yet but very curious lol

My very short review of my feelings on the Severance Finale with a mild spoiler:

My longer, non-spoiler review:

As a Day 1, 2022 OG Fan, they stuck the landing

I've been a bit bearish on season 2 over the last few episodes. Overall, the first season was tighter. But goddamn was that finale good. It has several all-timer best TV moments, including one that made me bust a rib laughing.

I'm pretty surprised this show found such a large audience. It's an absurd sci-fi comedy horror thriller. The show's main targets of derision are corporations and capitalism generally. Made in a lab for someone like me, but I'm shocked normies like it so much.

There seems to be a lot of controversy about the ending. This is VERY funny to me. Because the show, especially in the finale, adds one more target of derision: nice, well-meaning Liberals. People who say they care about the marginalized and the downtrodden... so long as it doesn't inconvenience them in any way.

If you're genuinely mad or even confused about the finale, I've got bad news for you: you're probably one of these people. Kinda like Bradley Whitford's character from Get Out.

I'm not saying these Liberals are like Jame Eagan or Elon Musk. But they DO benefit from various unjust hierarchies capitalism creates. And they don't want to lose those benefits

Anyway, brilliant stuff. I'm bummed season 3 won't be out for years. But the finale was so good, it's hard to be too upset. Amazing that this guy created one of the most thought provoking shows in recent memory:
