Nice! Coming from ACv2 I'm very pleased with performance but most of all usability so far. Have a few questions, maybe I should have sent to support
1. I'm new to mods and TC. I have been using TCR 225 with great results on both the 1701 Ti and Quartz. Today I tried the Sirius coil for the first time and TC doesn't seem to be working as I'd expect.
I locked the resistance at room temp (0.50 ohm), set TCR to 352 as recommended, and set temp to 450. I loaded about .3g of sappy ACDC co2 wax. When I press fire, my mod shows ~100F, and it rapidly shoots up to ~400 in about 1 second. The highest the resistance got was 0.54 ohm. I also tried using the Ti TC preset on my mod, and 225 TCR as well.
I was able to use it a bit, this morning I just held the button and sipped slowly for about 20 seconds. Even though Temp Protect went on almost right away, it pulsed off for a moment at a time. After about 30 seconds total I had taken a few small visible hits, which was fine for me.
Is this a problem with my mod, with the coil, something else? My 1701s take several seconds to get up to temperature and TC appears to work perfectly on them.
The Sirius is my first time trying TC on a coil atomizer, I haven't really used either of the dual coils yet, but I did briefly attach the SiC dual coil and it was doing something similar.
2. When you clean a coil by soaking it in alcohol, what if some wax remains in the coil/wick? In the past, cleaning my ACv2 coils, I had a bugger of a time getting it all clean even with 91% alcohol. I did recently buy 99% to try. With some wax remaining after a soak, do I need to fire the coils until everything is gone/dry? Or will the iso evaporate out leaving just the wax?
I don't care about taste, but I don't want to vape alcohol fumes. In the past it has taken several minutes of firing to get rid of all the residue/smoke after a long, warm iso soak, which is a hassle and surely doesn't help coil life.
3. After screwing in my SiC dual coil to test, and unscrewing it, the gold connector slipped off the atomizer. Basically exposing the ceramic and lead. The connector fits right back in but it's not snug and falls out - is there a trick to make it stick in there?
4. How tightly should I be screwing in the atomizers to the Triton OS? One time after vaping my quartz 1701 came loose from the Triton. It also said "No Atomizer" for a moment this morning while using it and I think it may have just came unscrewed. If I screw it too tightly (by hand) could it get damaged? Sometimes I feel a little grit as it gets tight and I don't want to destroy the threads. Everything has been wiped down with alcohol.
Any feedback greatly appreciated
