Could someone that uses their wand for one heatup RTL share some pics of the AVB?

The wind here in England is getting ridiculous and it’s got me reconsidering my idea of using this device torch only.

If the wand can get it as dark and even as my touch I’ll try to take advantage of the deal dynavap have got going at the moment! For anyone that doesn’t know there’s currently a discount on the wand on dynavap’s site, and then a further 20% off if you find the clover on the page. Makes it stupid cheap to get a wand :brow:
Here's a post from earlier in the thread. For me it takes about 23 flashes from cold to the first click and I can get a OHE after hitting the first click. The second click gives me a very dark roast and can risk combustion.

Once again? I've been told to wait for second click, now i'm being told to ignore the click. I'm not perceiving an obvious concensus the way you are.
I think it’s dependent on the direction of insertion. I’ve been doing a lot of reading this morning and it seems to keep coming back to that. Bottom is usually clicks top is usually timer.

I do think you should try heating from the bottom until the second click though.

Thanks for this! That’s a very even AVB, shows the load gets heated as evenly as it does with a torch. That was one concern I had so I’m glad to cross it off. I’ll probably go to the second click as I like a darker roast. Seems like I can get exactly the result I’m seeking with the wand which is awesome :)

I'd cut down on the baked beans mate! 😈

I've been hankering after a second wand for a while but found it hard to justify as essentially a luxury, but with a 'nado on it's way (or soon to be 🤞) and my dislike of repeatedly upsetting my homed-in setup that currently does the 'pest and my TA3 very nicely without adjustment of the MH 'pest insert, so the chance of a cheap deal is enticing, and an excellent (if somewhat cognitively biased) excuse to whack me wad on the counter!

So on the Euro DV site with the 10% discount and cheapest delivery it's down to £110 near as damnit (which ain't terrible), but what is this 'clover' thing you speak of, Earthman? 👽

Performance of tornado with wand is so good.
Thats why i did not hesitate to get a 2nd tornado because im a wand fan =)

I am just future proofing myself from future vas.
You know what i mean tornado high is hard to beat =)

I believe im also staying with wand vs getting stronger IH.
I am dangerous to have stronger IH because that will open me to more newer analogs/teds VAS and i dont need that temptation atm.

With Tornado, Tempest, CXL, halo/5fin/vong in the collection. Wand is good enough for me.

I had this sesh yesterday. Pulled out from wand after 1-2 blinks after first click. (not even sure if mine has 2nd click)

Nice you might be on to something. I just tried doing it through the top, the way Lee (tabletop bong) does it, and it seems like you would have to go quite far past the second click to get results. Which begs the question is it possible to damage the click discs function by doing that?

I'll experiment with inserting from beneath. It's just tricky to get the depth correct.

So I got it working with the wand for one hit extraction. Burns through the wand batteries faster than my other vapes. I'm also noticing a considerable drop off in potency compared to using a torch.

Anyone else noticed less potency woth the wand? If so does that remain true with the more powerful induction heaters, the Forge and Inductor?

What you're describing is exactly why I bought an Inductor (Forge V2 was being worked on at the time). I can tell you the experience with the Inductor is completely different from using the Wand.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. I really appreciate you confirming that. I've already wanted an Inductor for a while, so I'll just use a torch until I snag one.

Can the tornado handle wax/concentrates or is it flower only? Like if I were to pack a bowl with herb along with a little bit of a dab, would that be okay or not?

I thought so. I know it's a silly question, but I thought that the tornado would run into issues with concentrates with it being such a complex design. I was thinking too deep. Either way, I'm hoping to get one soon.

No worries and not a silly question. Hope you snag one soon because they're great.

With the Wand I often draw while heating up. That way I get direct feedback on the vapor. Also, getting the airflow going while heating up does things to the extraction I imagine (N=1) It takes the guesswork out of it, and after a while this kind of finetuning becomes second nature and it's like stick shift in a car. Tornado really allows for tinkering.
