Tornado by Vestratto

Do we really have to pretend we want it because of an atomisation effect that might be subtle to an individual user?
Honestly, i was more attracted by the bigger bowl than the 2nd aty and i'm very satisfied with the fact that the Tornado bowl is roasted in a very homogeneous and complete way, which is for me a great success of Vestratto.

I'm desperate to know how it pairs with the Tempest stem. That stem often seems like overkill even with full Tempest bowl. It feels like it could cool an even bigger bowl.

I have visions of being able to inhale the full Tornado bowl in one direct to lung hit in a portable setting. Thay would be loads of fun.

I'm pumped that tornados are shipping again, excited for all the fresh perspectives on the device. IMO, this is one of the most versatile butane vapes (in terms of effect, not portability or compatibility with parts).

I'm still using mine to medicate daily, any amount in the bowl works great 0.05 to 0.25. I still dug out my flowerpot on the weekends sometimes when I was using the anvil, but the FP has been cold since Septmeber and none of my friends have complained, in fact they were astounded with the hits from the Tornado and were almost convinced off combustion, until I got into the exhausting rigamaroll that is being a vestratto customer lol.

I'm REALLY looking forward to the forge repair program. I have gotten my torch technique down but Holy moly I miss the Forge. Please Vestratto, I don't care if it takes more time to get v2 right but just keep us in the know!

Same here, glad that the Tornado pipe line is open again. Other then initial (positive) impression I stayed quiet learning this vape.

My biggest tip is not to try and reproduce Anvil hits. Low heat is where this vape shines for me. I don’t use the clicks, and have went to a count system. Removing heat before the click and letting the oven do its work. Usually, both clicks will happen as I’m taking my hit. The Forge didn’t require a count method but gave me the idea of removing heat before the click. And I’ll add that too. The Forge/Tornado combo is (was…will be again) the best experience I’ve had vaping.

The Tornado has been my favorite device lately. To me this is the next gen Anvil. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that the vape seems to perform better at lower temps. Being able to get the same massive clouds at lower temps means I’m getting more flavor and smoothness compared to the Anvil. I’ve really enjoyed using it dry through my Texas Hot Glass Sherlock Shredder. Would love to add an IH at some point, but waiting to see how the Forge situation gets resolved.

I'm using it with the @Camouflet Inductor and it's impressive how it works well.
I have 2 techniques: at the lowest setting (19.5v) until the 1st click (heating the head in the middle/top during around 20Sec) or, as I was advised by @electrokho82 , at the highest setting for 8sec and I start drawing a few seconds later, after the 2nd click.

That 20 seconds can be cut to ~8 at 19v if you keep contact and slowly turn the Tornado. I only fast spin camos and Dv when using the conductor. Anvil, Tornado, Tempest, TA can all handle the direct slow spin.

do you heat until the 1st clik? it takes only 8 sec?
(what is your setting with the TA?)🤫

Nope. I stop before the click. Even when using the torch. The click happens, but while I’m taking my pull.

I had terrible combustion results at my first attempts going to click. Was very frustrating after using with the forge and having perfect results.

My favorite with Conductor is Tempest. The sleeve glows red hot and you can heat it until the indicator starts to approach the first mark, if I stop there it usually finishes fully soaking right between mark 1 and 2. Takes less than 10 seconds.

Looking forward to trying Conductor out with Tornado in a few days!

I've gone the opposite route. I already had my dremel torch and that worked great. Now I've gone on to a kitchen torch at full blast. Takes about 8-10 seconds to get to click. Very interesting vapor and effect. With the anvil I was careful not to combust. With the thermocore oven, RTL gets you into charred territory easily.

Which is why I was so cautious at first with the Tornado and I think I underheated it at first. I'm taking my cue from the Torch concept: get all the energy into the Tornado fast, under 12 seconds. A large torch replicates that. No combustion if you respect the click, smoothness to the vapor and - surprisingly - no perceptible charring

I’m glad someone wrote this. I haven’t weighed in lately as I parked my Tornado. I am using the Forge full time now. Full blast torch for about 10 seconds was closest I got to replicating the Forge experience.

The Tornado seems better to me when the stem is still warm from a previous heat up. Some people torch the stem a bit while heating the oven. That risks pushing heat into the holes.

Hi Guys,
Mine is in the relay and I will pick up in few hours. I would like to have a starting point to find the spot without combust few time before. Is there somebody that use a RONXS torch and what is the technic to have smooth and flavorfull vape ?

Without response and with what I read here, I torch just upper the holes. At the click I had smell of combust and I wait few seconds before take the hit that was not so impressive. But why I am feeling so high ?

People have been aiming higher up than with the Anvil. A few people reporting success aiming the torch half way up the bowl.

I started the same, also with a Ronx torch in this position and with similar results. For me it helped to flame paint the whole device from top to the letters. @PrematureEvaporation made a thread about Tornado heating, you should definitely check that out.

I tried two other bowls yesteday and not satisfy because to closed from the combustion for my taste. Dense vap and not so harsh but not flavorfull. I tried with a smal flame size and it was even worst. I will try to torch at the middle of the oven next time.
I have not tried with the wand because I don't want to remove the tempest insert and put it again each time. I will see if it worth to buy a second one.

I find that a fairly powerful flame works well with the Tornado. I use a light 3-flame in the middle of the bowl and it clicks quite quickly.

This will be the technique I use with my Tornado.

@Alligator427 you should also ask @Roffa for some advice as they’ve got a nice technique that seems to give good results and flavour
Kitchen torch with a large flame. Heat in the middle of the bowl. I always give the thinner end of the stem a lick too, to make sure that's warmed up. About 10 seconds all in all. Heat till 1st click, no further.

In vertical or horizontal position ?
I don't like this fucking wpa that is a pain to spin.
I have an old anvil stem somewhere. I just need a heat shield and maybe the mouthpiece (more for a nice looking). Airflow is the same or worse ?

I've got it on the OG Anvil stem. Airflow is great. I love it on the old stem. You won't regret it. Cooling is no problem at all
