FYI to those that ordered the Forge-Tornado combo. @Vestratto was kind and gracious enough to offer to send us the Forge ahead of the Tornado (still being tested) by sending an email to mumfordjohn7@gmail.com with your order number and the request for the Forge be sent to you. This info was shared on Discord.

I of course just got done sending this request.

Edit: Literally 5 minutes after my request I got a email telling me the Forge will be sent out tomorrow. Amazing company!!!!!

Just got my shipment notification for the Forge ⚡should be here Friday. I'm stoked to start using with my anvils, and even more excited for whenever the tornado shows up!
Got my tracking info. yesterday but it wasn't active until today. Estimated delivery for Forge and Wagon Wheel is on May 31st ......... hopefully gets here sooner since I literally live less than an hour away from Vestratto's place of business. Customs between USA and Canada is the likely culprit.

I got the forge today, have to get a battery tomorrow, excuse me for asking, but what's a wagon wheel? Please and thanks :)

It’s a piece of metal that screws onto the bottom of the forge (that looks like a wagon wheel) it positions the vape so you can go hands free. It can be adjusted up or down.

Does anyone know it the Cascade feature on the Forge is for the Tornado?
I have no idea, I’m having too much fun getting blazed with this thing. I tried it once, it was helpful on the reheat (I think). It starts off at 200 joules (or so) and climbs to I think, your starting setting (say it’s 2800 joules) and I think it rounds back around to the 200 joule starting point.

Speaking of the wagon wheel, how much are people screwing in the post?
For use with my anvil I have the screw set to where I can see three (3) threads showing from the bottom. You can adjust from the bottom with your finger (or pinching) but, it’s counterintuitive. Lefty tighty, righty loosie. So turning it (the screw) left while the wagon wheel is facing you (the screen is facing away from you), lowers your vape deeper into the forge. Turning it right will raise / lift your vape out of the forge.

I’ve been playing with the cascade feature on a 2020M and idk what magic (it’s engineering) is in this thing but it’s pretty nice. My settings were 1150 @ 60% on cascade. I got three cycles. My reheat’s were about four seconds (didn’t fill the fuel tank gauge if you will). All tasty puffs until the very last one.

The 2020M is on a revolve with the airflow closed off. Super great joint experience. 👍

FYI to all Tornado + Forge bundle buyers. Quote is from a user who spoke to John and posted about it on discord, looks like we may see our tornados soon :brow: Surely if its two weeks out a picture of it must exist :myday:

"I was able to speak with John about the Tornado release, who thinks that the 1st units (ordered with the Forge during th 420) will start being sent out within 2 weeks." - LBKomp, Vestratto Discord

To take advantage of the same effect larger vapour droplets from the herb chamber bounce against the gasifier wall and are broken down into smaller, more absorbable particles. Think micro-dabs. The TORNADO has two induction zones. One heats the oven while the other heats the gasifier. Think of it as a ThermoCore with a turbocharger.

Particle size is what makes smoke more immediately active than vapor and more devastating. This will hit hard but i suspect it will not taste good. Most of the tasty terps will be destroyed by the "turbocharger"- same reason why a fritted percolator does not taste so great and the best flavour is obtained by minimal diffusion/ large bubbles.

Obviously can't speak for the Tornado, but that is not my experience with the Electropath which operates on similar principles. I was frankly quite surprised by the flavor, and have a number of vapes quite well known for their excellent flavor like Herborizer, halogen vapes (Halo, Angus, REFC DIY log), etc.

Of course the execution of the Tornado will play a big role, but if done well, I think we'll likely be fine for flavor

Not Nice. Warning point issued.

Piggybacking on this to say the electropath and whatever it does is quite the experience to be had. If the tornado can come close then I may be in. But for now paying for something(that’s delayed!) that has no photos, use, or anything really is quite appalling to me and a step deeper in consumerism and capitalism I hope no other companies take.

If I wasn’t such an avid fan of the anvil, I would say this Vestratto fellow is quite a cunt and a clever one to dupe so many people not only with this tornado concept but also the IH that costs nearly double the amount of the device it heats.

But fools will always line up so maybe I can’t blame the producer but the folks here to throw their money away.

Hope to hear something soon. Especially for those who already spent money on, a concept that already existed but now in a portable form but with no example of its function…

Anvil really carried the weight of the forge and tornado didn’t it?

Vestratto communication hasn't been great, but they do take care of their customers. Love that they sent all Founder purchasers the revised Anvil after getting feedback on the OG.

Forge has been well worth it for me, and is priced in the neighborhood of other higher power IHs like the also excellent Inductor. And both have a level of adjustability I like for dialing in my preferred hit (and easily replicable, moreso than a torch IME).

John is 2 for 2 in the excellent engineering of devices so far. I'm frequently amazed that with all the heat energy put into the Anvil that the stem doesn't get too hot (which isn't the case for the metal Tempest or Revolve stems for example, tho Wood Tempest stem doesn't have this issue). Not to mention an excellent line of accessories like Thermacore, WPA and XL mouthpiece. Of course Tornado unseen is a risk, but that's part of deciding to be an early adopter.

To be seen over time, but the Forge is maybe the best investment I've made in vape since ....The anvil in January 2022.
I'm exaggerating a little because it's expensive, but it performs very well.
With the Anvil, it doesn't just replace the torch, it allows different types of heating to be oriented more towards conduction, convection and cold starting.
I've used it with great success with the TA and VV (Verdavap), and the Tempest too (before I sold it), so it's more versatile than it looks.

As for the Tornado, of course it's a gamble to give your money to Vestratto before the product exists, but only those who trust him and are willing to give it a try. The others can just look the other way, without rancor.

I think a lot of Anvil founder-owners like me would be willing to trust John and his team. I don't mind waiting as long as it takes, rather than making a hasty, botched launch.

I've got a feeling that the Tornado won't be making the news any time soon.

This has to be satire. What is John paying you. Blink twice for help. Fuck @grassyes
